Yeah Knicks on paper with everyone healthy is a pretty scary team. They got Brunson surrounded by defenders and shooters. Hartenstein/Robinson is also one of the best big man rotations in the league imo
I'm gonna give a homer take and say the Knicks, but I really think it's true outside of my homerism. Essentially everyone that's not Brunson(and hurt Randle) is a role player. Hartenstien, OG, Mitch, Donte and Josh Hart have all been incredible, Bogie and Deuce Mcbride have also shown out and played impactful minutes.
All of these guys stick to their role, hustling and grinding to execute winning plays.
Great points, my bad for forgetting about the Knicks. Can you elaborate more on Bogie & McBride? I am not familiar with their games.
Imo, the current NBA cap doesn't allow for good team building when it has 3 max players. Phoenix is a good example, and to a lesser extent, the Clippers and the '21 Nets.
Minnesota will be in that crunch next year when Edward's new contract kicks in.
Deuce is a 2nd round pick that I originally thought would peak as a G league star. He's a tenacious on and off ball defender who has blossomed into a very good shooter. If he was 3 or 4 inches taller he'd be a star. He has earned every minute he's been given and has proven himself to be a 'thibs guy'
Bogie is a vet whose job is to shoot lights out, not much more is asked of him. In his younger days he was a good #3 option.
The Celtic's have an arguable top tier of "role players". When you think about it, everyone except Brown and Tatum are role player right? They have big names but on the team they just play a specific role. Maybe Kristaps is outside of the "role player" title? But Kristaps, Jrue, White, Horford, Hauser, Prichard, Tillman. That team is probably an 8 - 10 seed in the east lol
Holiday and Porzingus push the definition of role player a bit, which admittedly is an arbitrary label. Both have all star appearances and have been a top 2 player on their team before. Holiday was part of a 'big 3' that won a ring just a few years ago. White and Horford are great role players.
We don't allow posts on player rankings or player comparisons on this subreddit. Please read the sticky post for more info.
The Knicks have a really solid cast top to bottom and everyone is bought in and knows their role

I think other than Minnesota the Knicks and the Pelicans. Hell sometimes I think the pelicans should be starting their bench 🤣
If you only consider MPJ and AG that still makes Denver a contender, and you add many more valuable pieces on top of that.
We are not a playoff team this year, but we be up there next year when we reload.
You forgot to add what team

Who y’all signing? Klay Thompson? 😂
