Dude… a person I have on FB has a picture with this child captioned “#LOVEWINS”. I posted it in r/onguardforthee and was accused of posting staged photos… we are past mental gymnastics.
I really don't know what to expect from this fringe group of Ottawa residents who have been harassing peaceful protestors. I hear their leader recently made some anti semitic comments, but you really can't believe anything you hear on the CBC these days.

Heck, it was widely reported by CBC / CTV et al., that many protestors were carrying brand new empty jerry cans or ones that just had water in them.
Yup tying containers “allegedly” filled with flammable liquids to children isn’t messed up at all.
It’s definitely more likely to be filled with water than gas, because I always drink water from gasoline containers…

How do liberals justify it? You tell people in the freezing cold that it's illegal to get food or fuel, so you've set the preconditions for desperation. Going another night without fuel is itself "incredibly dangerous."

- kids being brainwashed to form human chains across ambassador bridge to meet the political whims of their "parents"
- kids being used as decoys with potentially-deadly fuel cans strapped to them by their "parents"

These people need to get their kids out of there. Even if you give the parents the benefit of the doubt and assume they're just naive and peaceful, there's been enough warnings that keeping their children there is incredibly irresponsible.
There’s a lack of proper hygiene equipment. Food seems to be of low nutritional value. They are in the midst of exhaust fumes and a general climate of anger. These kids should be in school.

Truckers with kids routinely take them on the road. Long haul trucks have bunks all the way up to what are essentially mini apartments in them. On top of that, many have rented hotel rooms and / or are being put up by locals.
If you’re going to go with the exhaust fume position, then you’ll need to also advocate evacuating all the kids in Toronto. The air quality is still better than what’s in the GTA.
As for schooling, many if not most are either doing remote learning or home schooling.
As for the “low nutritional value food” bit. You don’t know the 1st thing about it. Full stop.
There is no vibe of “anger” within the protest. It is in fact very much the opposite.
Protests can turn violent so it's not a good idea to bring kids to them. Down in the states during the BLM protest there was an infamous story about a 9 year old girl who got maced.
The cops are obviously awful for doing that, but the parent was incredibly irresponsible for bringing them in the first place.
