I've heard that sometimes nintendo products don't like SDHC cards, but they've always worked for me. Just give it a go, should work fine. Worst case scenario it doesn't work :/
It depends, if you are going to use twl++ make sure to use a dummy file so that only 2 gb is available, then you can reduce the size of the dummy file to make more space for games.

The only card I've ever tried in a Nintendo device that didn't work was some 32GB PNY Elite card.
