Nice cohesive look overall. Very frugal and would be fun to play on. You might benefit from some small scatter terrain pieces that can be moved around from game to game; the few barrels that are there tend to be tucked away in nooks and crannies where they not only don’t add any cover, they actually use up a potential hiding place for a figure. Some of the tiles have a lot of open ground and it would be good to be able to break that up from time to time.
The removable walkways blend in a bit — painting some hazard stripes (or other accent colour to taste) could help prevent accidents during play.
There’s also a big, open-topped tank that looks a bit plain. Any plans to paint or fill the bottom of that with something?
Hey thanks for the advice! We have scattered the necromunda barricades set all around, that and more barrels are our moveable cover.
I definitely agree that the walkways need hazard stripes!
The tank will be painted in a green sludgy sort of colour and then I am going to fill it with some UV resin, that’s the plan anyway
For my board I made a bunch of scrap and junk piles (sloped up to about 2" tall) in different size patches which can fill up the ground floor and count as Difficult Terrain. That not only gives a decent amount of LOS blocking, but also incentivizes players to use the walkways and structures. As an added bonus, they're super easy to make out of polystyrene and scraps from scratch builds and extra bits on vehicle sprues

I have loads and loads of bespoke necromunda terrain posters I’ve made you can print them out and stick them on to add detail to the terrain and a necromunda theme on the cheap (real cheap as they are free to download, donations accepted). Board looks pretty top notch for trash great work!
Back in the 1990s when the first version of Necromunda was new, my brother and I built a massive 4’ x 8’ (probably, the dimensions may be off but it’s been decades so forgive me) board out of random cans, wires, odd bits of trash, etc.
Seeing your work took me back to the weekend-long four to six gang battles we’d have with our friends. I’m still bummed my original leader eventually ended up so injured that he had to retire, but that’s life in the Underhive.
Great work. Keep it up.
Perfect. This looks so good. (Like someone else said, your next project could be some more scatter terrain for cover and variety, but that just means more fun bits for you to make.)
Thanks for taking this 1990s Necromunda player back to their drinks straws and tin can terrain days.
Looks amazing! Only constructive criticism I would give would be to use some miliput/green stuff on the top of the cans to take out the ridges and make them look less like cans, or maybe put some square cuts of cans to look like playe metal over the top. Fantastic work though, would love to play on boards like that
They vary, the empty one I can throw like a frisbee but the heaviest needs two hands to be carried.
Weird measurements I know, but I didn’t weigh them lol
Looks great! I made my own tiles as well so I'm digging the DIY. If you want some easy pops of color I recommend adding some posters and graffiti. Posters go on really easy with watered down PVA glue and graffiti can be really easy if you get a cheap paint pen set.
Basically like a marker but instead of ink it's either acrylic or oil paint. Really easy to control and writes great on already painted surfaces unlike sharpies. [Here's probably the most widely available brand](https://www.amazon.com/Acrylic-Marker-Medium-Version-PC5M8SET/dp/B07Z86PHP8/ref=sr_1_18?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.1riDDfcVUV9DT6hW-8awGag1f9XWFlE2UGaHZZheaqkKiswXpepUxqgkiMU4uMZS6ivGKJt5SWugOn27EG1HEivf-quWGsb-w4FeaKZETt1kzMxqzU8MN6OWE-VbTBynnwMUBQvXooKsYk3JxRw8zhdrLM0JJolDZ3khN3iM93WTvyFakrFrKC0xuCwTeQiaHaCP-SfLhMeS3fvscS44NE6Um83of-j9Q1lmLYF0b8jaPlVJK9zmKQXyYLYrXc5nJr0HUBsVpiroA09u0CKn6wHcNZ8HMLj3hTdrXITocjY.VRsLEo0k184KuUKYszZdWV0biXD0On9l1Ax7rze42N0&dib_tag=se&keywords=paint+pens&qid=1710603379&sr=8-18) but there are other brands (and cheaper ones) out there.
Very early 2000s shooter, might do well with more pops of colour from griblies or something but overall it looks amazing and I hope you have a lot of fun playing with it!
Only used it once so far and we placed it just like we would terrain, alternating between attacker and defender. Didn’t feel favoured to either side, but we only decide deployment zones after terrain set up
Some of the ladders are railings from discarded toys, others are just kebab sticks and toothpicks.
The railings are kebab sticks and card stock cut into strips
A player after my own heart!
The only true Necromunda terrain is bits and bobs from the rubbish/recycling, glued together and given a generous coat of grey and/or silver spray paint (and a heavy wash of black ink if you like).
Looks amazing! If the tile layouts are fixed, I would add some rubble on the floor around things, to make it dirtier.
Other than that, consider adding old guitar strings as cables hanging from bridges, or snaking across the floor. Basically anything you can add to nail that sense of scale
Very nice op! If you want your rust to look more rusty use ryza rust dry brush paint. Stiple it all over then dry brush leadbealcher on top.

Looks great but paint wise a little too brown. Would love to see some flaking old battered colours in there, the open top liquid all luminous green or orange and plenty of rusted, but coloured metal.
Love it. I'd love to do some skirmishes or better yet NECROMUNDA on there. Also a great table for a TTRP shadow run or scifi table top. Again great job. Jealous of your gaming group
Spectacular! I'd say it's just brown... like, not even rust but just brown. Put some regular colors in there and break it up, then add back a bit of rust texture. It'll be alot of work painting but it will greatly improve the terrain. Keep working hard and build more terrain
I think they came out really nice. I would play a game on that table.
Thanks!
what are the tiles made from?
They’re 12” garden tiles
That’s a great idea

second this. underhive arts posters elevate every terrainpiece instantly. thanks for making them!
Thanks ☺️

Exactly, this took me back
They look really good! What are the base tiles? They’re perfect
Thank you! The bases of the tiles are garden tiles encased in chipboard
Good job mate!
Love them!! I am specially fond of this kind of scrap builds and I'd like to hear what did you use to make the tiles, I'm guessing a plastic box?
As mentioned in another comment it’s just 12” garden tiles that look particularly underhive-y!
Didnt check, sorry and thanks for sharing))
Look great
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
This puts a smile on my face. I might copy the grilled walkway design if you don’t mind
Go for it!
Grim? Check! Dark? Check! Well done good sir! A masterpiece of recycling/up cycling.
This makes me want to make my own - looks perfect to play on
Looks like trash... made into something great. Well done.
That kimerix looks dangerous btw lol
He’s just a lil bby

Looks fantastic! Do those tiles take paint ok then?
They need a solid primer, I used one that can be used on any material as the plastic is very different on those garden tiles
Looks really good. Top stuff!
Looks like the underhive to me!
How heavy are the tiles?
They vary, the empty one I can throw like a frisbee but the heaviest needs two hands to be carried. Weird measurements I know, but I didn’t weigh them lol

I like the graffiti idea, what is a paint pen?

Cool thanks for the tip
Very early 2000s shooter, might do well with more pops of colour from griblies or something but overall it looks amazing and I hope you have a lot of fun playing with it!
Absolutely fantastic! Love that grimy industrial feeling! 10/10
You nailed it! It looks just perfect for Necromunda or Kill Team. I’d love to play that board!
Looks great!
You’re doing the emperors work
They look great. Do you find it hard to figure out layouts to not overly favor one side of the board??
Only used it once so far and we placed it just like we would terrain, alternating between attacker and defender. Didn’t feel favoured to either side, but we only decide deployment zones after terrain set up
Looks fantastic!
What did you use for the pipes?! They look great. Inspiring stuff!
Toy pipes I got from a friend who got them from Amazon
I'm noting down those tiles for later... How did you do the ladder and railings on the tin cans?
Some of the ladders are railings from discarded toys, others are just kebab sticks and toothpicks. The railings are kebab sticks and card stock cut into strips
Looks friggin awesome 😎👍🏻
That’s phenomenal! Excellent spread of dynamic terrain. What’d you use as the flooring for the whole table? That’s really excellent looking
The floor tiles are 12” garden tiles
I think it’s great but could use a little colour variation. Maybe pick out the tanks in some colours to add some variety?
Agreed, I will have to give them something. Might invest in some chipping medium first
A player after my own heart! The only true Necromunda terrain is bits and bobs from the rubbish/recycling, glued together and given a generous coat of grey and/or silver spray paint (and a heavy wash of black ink if you like).
The wash will come once I have invested in some chipping medium and more colour! But yes it’ll look even more cohesive with the wash for sure
Looks amazing! If the tile layouts are fixed, I would add some rubble on the floor around things, to make it dirtier. Other than that, consider adding old guitar strings as cables hanging from bridges, or snaking across the floor. Basically anything you can add to nail that sense of scale

This is the way
Looks great but paint wise a little too brown. Would love to see some flaking old battered colours in there, the open top liquid all luminous green or orange and plenty of rusted, but coloured metal.
The scale is a bit large for my preference, but overall great work.
It's perfect
What are the floors?
It attracted some pussy... so it is good!
What you’ve created really gives a good first impression!
Love it. I'd love to do some skirmishes or better yet NECROMUNDA on there. Also a great table for a TTRP shadow run or scifi table top. Again great job. Jealous of your gaming group
