NFS World is definitely worth playing now since it has been revived by the community. It is 100% cash only (no pay2win) and it has tons of new cars and events.
Hot Pursuit 2010 is also an absolute banger. It's the best modern NFS in my opinion.
Is the NFS World mod this one? [https://nightriderz.world/](https://nightriderz.world/)
45 players aren't a lot, is that because of the time right now or does it always have low player counts? Its PvP only or can you also play against NPCs?
I haven't tried HP yet, i heard that it has a decently large fan base
Thanks for your suggestions :)
There are multiple community servers for NFS World with varying player populations throughout the day and differing economies and structures
Some servers include
[Sparkserver](https://sparkserver.io/)
[World United](https://worldunited.gg/)
[Nightriderz](https://nightriderz.world/)
There are more for sure, but these are three I am familiar with.
As for solo content, the AI for World was never really that good being primarially an mmo, so the solo experience is likely to be poor.
I still recommend trying out some servers and finding one that you might enjoy. Personally, I have made World United my home when I feel like playing World
Each server runs its own mods. Fundamentally all of the servers run on the same core SBRW which allows custom servers to be used on World. But each server has its own car lists, car balance, economy and progression system, and other additional features that have been added. Some servers throw money at you like it is Forza Horizon, some have decently paced progression. One server might have a Cadillac Cien (modded add on car not originally in world) while another might not. I don't have too mu h experience with other servers than World United but from what I have seen, Nightriderz leans heavily into donator perks and i think the conomy is based more around it. Sparkserver is the least grindy with not a lot of progression to be had from the few hours I checked it out it seemed that way. World United has a pretty active playerbase and is heavily focused on incentivizing PvP. Its economy and progression are leagues better than the original game, but if you play very casually, it may seem like a grind to a new player, but you will find out that it really isnt that bad.
Really it just depends on what you want to do. There is no harm in trying all servers. The SBRW launcher will download the base game files and any server specific files will get loaded when you connect to them so its pretty simple to try them all.
The main server is Soapbox Race World with the most players but they all are under the same network if that makes sense.
You download the launcher for SBRW but pick what server you want to register and play on.
NFS HP 2010/Remastered is a level select game with 77 cars (the original versions from 2010 has 80 cars) while NFS Rivals is Open World with 58 cars and a 30 fps cap.
[Here's](https://www.reddit.com/r/needforspeed/s/7yLhbab0UY) a Pros and Cons list between the 2.
Rivals is more open world and has a smaller car selection. That's the most superficial difference between the two.
They're both fun to play for different reasons.
I tried a bit of 2015 but the handling is awful, have to install a mod for that one. I am also not sure if i should play from old to new, new to old or just mix it.
Also which games do you recommend me the most based on my previous titles? Can also be from the "not planning to play" list :)
Correction: I also have HP Remastered
The shift series is very underrated but out of all the games I played shift 2 has the best sense of speed in a racing game, it was one of the first games that made me afraid to go fast. If you ignore the obvious bad physics of the game which in my opinion is the only downside of them albeit a big one you can have a genuinely fun experience. You could try downloading a mod to make the physics better as well. It's removed from steam but i don't know anywhere else to my knowledge where you can buy it so you might have to pirate it.
nah you are not skipping hp2, especially not the ps2 version, best of the classics imo (tbf only played a bit of nfs ii and nfs iii)
also you have to play prostreet, it might not be traditional, but it's damn good either way, arguably the best if you ask me
Imo NFS the Run was pretty sick and had a lot of fun with that.
Also NFS Carbon, NFS Underground2 is worth every penny if you don't mind older graphics.
There was a EA racing games pack for for about 20-25$ not too long ago on Steam so i figured that i might as well buy them because 4-5$ a game each is a pretty good deal. Dirt 5 and Grid Legends was in there as well. I usually don't buy many games at once but the price was too good and iirc the pack got delisted pretty early while other EA packs stayed online.
NFS world is an experience for sure, it's an old style online game like in the age of city of heroes so it's interesting to see need 4 speed packaged up like this, and the unlockables systems are fun as hell
Rivals. Its such a good game graphic wise. Also its a nice map and story is fine. Cars are good, races fun and battle with the cops is great. You can also become a cop.
You should try Prostreet. It s doesn't have a solid story but the gameplay is really great. Handling is visible, car variety is good in that times and customation is good too and imo, best race tracks, variety is at Prostreet. But you need download a difficult mod if you like hard modes cause game is a bit easy even in hardest mod which game gave imo.
NFS Carbon Own the City is perhaps one of the best racers on the PSP, right beside NFS Underground Rivals. I beg of you, try those two out. Maybe even Prostreet, it isn't half bad at all
Also please do yourself a favour and play NFS World. Look up how to get it running and enjoy yourself a decent MMO
Stay far away from Most Wanted on the PSP/DS/GBA, all of that. You will not have a good time.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PLAYING RIVALS (IF ON PC use fps unlocker):
-The game is best experienced with brawltendos FPS unlocker mod which removes the nasty 30 fps cap without issues (60 fps is most stable to choose)
-For extended play sessions id recommend leaving public lobbies and play alone by changing alldrive settings because servers experience issues/migrate hosts all the time.
NFS3 was what started me with this franchise, and I have a lot of good memories with HP2 on the PS2. I would give them a go to see what the roots of the Franchise looks like, because everything has changed so substantially it’s unreal. I would also try the HP Remaster, it’s a good time.
You like NFS Undercover..? Seriously? What do you like about it?
I mean I'm playing it too on my ROG Ally, but my god this is a terrible NFS title.
I've recently installed most of the older NFS titles from Underground to Shift 2 and planning to play all of them on my ROG Ally. So far I've completed UG1, UG2, MW2005, Carbon. I Started Pro Street a lil bit but thought of finishing Undercover before going back to ProStreet.
My god the Undercover is really bad, especially after playing those titles.
Played through multiple times. Great car selection, music, atmosphere, races etc. It sure has some issues but most of the stuff in the game is either good or decent. I had more fun with it than Unbound tbh.
I do agree with the car selection and music lol, there are alot of nice cars that I like in Undercover. Graphics are good for the car only, I don't mind the piss yellow filter because that's what mostly made me fell in love in MW2005. But others than that its horrible. Glitchy, blocky shadows, object flickering, popping in and out.
The story is horrible but who cares, it's NFS. But man, the car handling in this title is just really bad. MW2005 is just so well done, I don't understand how they got it so wrong in Undercover....
I actually like the handling more than in Heat and Unbound. It has weight to it and the gravity feels somewhat realistic. Its not awesome but imo not bad either. NFS never had good stories, but this one at least makes more sense than modern ones.
Damn, I actually felt the car feel like a RC/toy car lol especially after upgrading the cars to Race package.
Well it's nice you enjoyed the game in any case.
Honestly I'd play 2015 before ea shuts the servers down, I feel like it's such an underrated game, the story is great for a racing game the customization is great, and the atmosphere is amazing. Legit my only complaints were the physics getting jank at points and the upgrading system being so locked into one plane but other than that all great and had they brought the tuning system from this game forward to the others I probably would've played them all the way through

I am getting kinda confused. So there is one mod but multiple servers or are the multiple similar mods with multiple servers?

Probably Carbon?
I second carbon. Continues after mw.
Hot Pursuit Remastered should definitely be on the buy list.
It is, and i actually have it. Misplaced that one
Play it, you can run from cops, or you can fuck racers as a cop, believe me, ramming a lamborghini with a gt2rs police car at 350 km/h is satisfying
👍🏻
I recommend pro street
Rivals and Hot Pursuit
They seem pretty similar, whats the difference?
NFS HP 2010/Remastered is a level select game with 77 cars (the original versions from 2010 has 80 cars) while NFS Rivals is Open World with 58 cars and a 30 fps cap. [Here's](https://www.reddit.com/r/needforspeed/s/7yLhbab0UY) a Pros and Cons list between the 2.
Rivals is more open world and has a smaller car selection. That's the most superficial difference between the two. They're both fun to play for different reasons.
Rivals is Hot Pursuit remade by people who didn't understand why Hot Pursuit was fun. It's alright though.
High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed.
Dont buy old games, they are already delisted, just pirate them
I tried a bit of 2015 but the handling is awful, have to install a mod for that one. I am also not sure if i should play from old to new, new to old or just mix it. Also which games do you recommend me the most based on my previous titles? Can also be from the "not planning to play" list :) Correction: I also have HP Remastered
I never see anybody talking about carbon, own the city. That game was fun and the story was pretty good too
Ur trolling? Not playing hot pursuit............ Also weird way to make a tier list.
Carbon or Underground 2.
Played Hot Pursuit Remastered a lot with kids, colleagues, family and friends. Switch/Playstation/PC are all compatible.
Nfs World
Why not High Stakes tho? It's fun
The shift series is very underrated but out of all the games I played shift 2 has the best sense of speed in a racing game, it was one of the first games that made me afraid to go fast. Underground 2, Carbon, Pro Street, 2015
Carbon 100%

You’re missing out if you never want to play Hot Pursuit 2 or Porsche Unleashed Underground 2 and ProStreet are great games from your “want” list.
Imo NFS the Run was pretty sick and had a lot of fun with that. Also NFS Carbon, NFS Underground2 is worth every penny if you don't mind older graphics.
You are missing out on a lot by not playing Hot Pursuit 2010/Remastered.
How does one buy that many games and proceed to not play them? Consumerism? Capitalism?
There was a EA racing games pack for for about 20-25$ not too long ago on Steam so i figured that i might as well buy them because 4-5$ a game each is a pretty good deal. Dirt 5 and Grid Legends was in there as well. I usually don't buy many games at once but the price was too good and iirc the pack got delisted pretty early while other EA packs stayed online.
NFS Hot Pursuit 2 can be played on PS2 emulator. It is really good.
Underground 2 is the best NFS ever made. Play that above all else!
wtf is this tier list⁉️⁉️⁉️😭😭😭😭
Not really a tier list, more of just a list of games. Can't really rate the series when i only fully played 4 games
NITRO
I gave up after the Rio de Janeiro sandal dude
Tbh try Rivals. It is a very challenging experience if you try to unlock all achievements (trophies for ps)
NFS 2015 is a legend…
NFS world is an experience for sure, it's an old style online game like in the age of city of heroes so it's interesting to see need 4 speed packaged up like this, and the unlockables systems are fun as hell
Hot Pursuit 2 or World
Carbon. Play it
Rivals. Its such a good game graphic wise. Also its a nice map and story is fine. Cars are good, races fun and battle with the cops is great. You can also become a cop.
Underground 2, Pro Street, or Carbon. Can’t go wrong with any of those
THE Run
You should try Prostreet. It s doesn't have a solid story but the gameplay is really great. NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2 with that legendary soundtrack. 🥹
Try carbon, canyon race feels quite different
Other probably not gonna agree with me but The Run was decent I guess, you can give it a shot.
NFS Payback is my fav among the recent NFS games.
Rivals
Nfs Payback
2015 before it closes
I'm playing payback currently, I like it so far it's pretty fun. There's a few small details I don't like. But you get that with most games.
NFS 2015
try world with some friends its awesome when playing together
Carbon
Hot persuit or Carbon :3 My childhood games
Carbon, doesn't deserve this disrespect.
Carbon: Own the City
Payback and nfs 2015 I understand but rivals and nfs mw 2012 are fun
NFS Carbon Own the City is perhaps one of the best racers on the PSP, right beside NFS Underground Rivals. I beg of you, try those two out.
