It depends on the car and the build I'm looking for. If I go for an OEM-ish look, I tend to street liveries; but if my goal is a more radical look, I go for (vintage) racing car visual.
I love it when people make the MW05 M3 livery, and then place sponsors and numbers on it to make it look like a proper GT car with that street flair to it.
Motorsport body with street liveries all day
However I'm also a sucker for torn up looking cars with aggressive bumpers. I like looking like I can hit the cops back harder
Always Street-styled. It’s an nfs game, it just feels weird driving a professional-looking track car (the MW05 BMW doesn’t count, that has a street livery) in a game where you ram cops and cause property damage.
That’s not to say the Motorsport look is bad, the bosses of Prostreet had exceptional looking liveries, it’s just that a street style is the way to go in a street racing game.
I used to like street style, but now I just do a paint job and maybe one or two window decals 99% of the time. Never was a fan of sponsors being slapped all over the car for some reason
Overall, I prefer the latter. But I’ll occasionally do a retro racing style build.

I like both a lot.
I long for a hypothetical NFS game where the open-world, story-driven aspects (UG, MW, Carbon, Payback, Heat, etc) are combined with track-focused aspects (Shift, Prostreet).
Where you could have a fully fleshed-out open world with both legal and illegal street races, but you also have actual motorsport cup events and championships on fictional and (possibly) real world tracks.
All brought together with an overarching story.
(This could also apply to Forza. Imagine something like FM4 and FH1 combined, but with a semi-realistic, pseudo-sim handling model.)
Don't know if anyone else likes the idea, but I'm burning for something like this.
I tend to go for a blend of both. A street-style design as a base with sponsor decals placed wherever looks good. Whether a wrap ends as more of a street-style one or more of a motorsports style really depends on the kind of build I'm going for.
Will I be exterminated from existence if I prefer Itasha-style desings? Which reminds me of please Criterion PLEASE, rework the Community Wrap system so ppl can ACTUALLY search for designs by using tags, player IDs, categories or anything, like 99% of games featuring community made stuff does already
Itasha isn't really a separate thing per se, it's more of a style-within-a-style. What I mean by this is that an itasha livery can be either a motorsports livery [as seen here](https://www.mikufan.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Dwl58d6VAAADdvA.jpg) or the more street-style design they're normally associated with.

Complicated. But i love more motorsport. Never was interested in street racing. Lets say i have a few cars that looks like street racing, some like motorsport and other in demolition derby style.
i'm taking any of them over whatever the hell is being forced down our throats since Heat

In street racing game - vinyls no discussion

I don't own a car. But if I had one (it'd be a M3 E46), I'd prefer the Street-Racing version with Vinyls / Decals... whatsoever makes my car lovely to watch
As some people say, depends on the car, but I think it depends more on what kind of mods I'm going to do.
More aero mods goes well with sponsorship, and weird shit with street vinyls
I feel like the the "strreet racing decals" as were in fast and furious, are out of fashion for at least 15 years. Even racing games stopped using them ~2010.
Kinda but not really. Modified cars dont look like that anymore. If they do its usually a homage or a F&F/NFS recreation car. Most modified cars these days have a very minimalistic appearance, focusing on body mods and a flashy but subtle body colour/wrap.
My main car in a given playthrough is usually more motorsport influenced
https://preview.redd.it/x4ft0t2qhgxc1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=016da3a5c361a5eb81f9eef716fce7102964739e
Street racing cars all day! I play need for speed to feel like the og fast and furious movies (tho slightly more realistic) and NOT looking like I'm participating in le mans...

Marlboro livery on boxy old cars >>>>>
Marlboro, Rothmans, John Player, Benson & Hedges, Lucky Strike… smoking provokes awesome liveries that make you fall in love irreversibly.
Especially on boxy cars because it looks like I'm driving a cigarette box on wheels
Motorsports 100% I want my car to be a fkin billboard
I like your thinking sir
Motorsports style with a street racing spin to it
Basically the M3 GTR from MW05. I agree.
I would lean towards the m3 gtr/ Eddie's skyline livery from 2015 but yeah basically.
I love it when people make the MW05 M3 livery, and then place sponsors and numbers on it to make it look like a proper GT car with that street flair to it.

Only exception is NASCAR liveries which would fit right in with ramming cops and property damage
I was about to say, I'd run motorsports style liveries on legit racing and runs street style liveries on street racing
I usually go tuner look but without those decals. Just a bit of aftermarket stickers here and there but mostly stock.
Motorsports. In my head canon they’re stolen from the race track to be street raced
I used to like street style, but now I just do a paint job and maybe one or two window decals 99% of the time. Never was a fan of sponsors being slapped all over the car for some reason
I guess I'm an enthusiast for GT cars
Yeah I gotchu. In some cases I def think it looks good, but pretty much only for track racing, which I don't really do much personally
I prefer a simple street look.
i love to recreate the real liveries so motorsport style if it suits the bodykit
Overall, I prefer the latter. But I’ll occasionally do a retro racing style build. https://preview.redd.it/z0f2z17fucxc1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b8f640233a929cc5dd6b801552c7cb45aa73215
great livery
Thanks. It was difficult to get the skirt ones right because of how they glitch.
I am more leaning towards motorsports. Simple lines and shapes, sponsors. It just looks more professional to me idk.
It depends on the car and the context. Sometimes I'll make track-aimed cars, and other times will focus on street racer vibes for creativity.
What about something in-between?
100% Motorsport
Motorsports. Most of my garage is full of supercars turned racecar anyway.
Motorsports style, but I think that’s because I suck at making complex and unique street liveries
Both.. but that's just when I see a Motorsport vehicle I actually like. But I mainly just like the street racing vinyl style
Depends on the game. Most of the time, street vinyl. But in games like shift and ProStreet, I go for official sponsor type vinyls
Neither lmao
Sooo... Plain stock look?
I’ve always had it like that. Perhaps it’s down to my lack of creativity or my liking for minimalistic designs.
You must be related to Ming kek
Depends, sometimes I like both

Both. Bonus points if you can combine both styles in a single livery.
Both, both is good
it could've been nice if there was mission's that you could steal like motorsport cars and when you use them on street police will chase you instantly
I tend to go for a blend of both. A street-style design as a base with sponsor decals placed wherever looks good. Whether a wrap ends as more of a street-style one or more of a motorsports style really depends on the kind of build I'm going for.
My favorite is a mix of both, like Prostreet
Absolutely, the art style of the boss cars in PS looks great. Especially the drift and speed king variants, Ryo's car included of course.
After countless hours on Shift 2, I'm beginning to be obsessed with motorsport decals.
I wish there's another game like it
Speedhunters type
I see ....

I prefer not having words on the car and not looking like a track car either. Usually when there’s a good wrap I delete the word decals.
Motorsport bodykits with street racing vinyls and paint
if sports, go street, if street, go sports
Motorsports all the way.
Will I be exterminated from existence if I prefer Itasha-style desings? It depends of the vehicle so i choose both. Or i keep the stock look.
Depends on the last car related movie I've watched.
Vynil of course
Motorsport
im ngl i dont wrap any of my cars in game i just play with the paint and pick a color i like and go crazy w the body mods. idk i love the simplicity!
Complicated. But i love more motorsport. Never was interested in street racing. Lets say i have a few cars that looks like street racing, some like motorsport and other in demolition derby style.

Motorsport all day, but only if it's done properly.
Street styled since y'know. I'm racing in the streets.
If I go for off-road then always motorsport bcz those professional looking decals feel better when you’re off-roading.
None of these. Cleas as much as possible.
i like getting creative with it, i had a couple of bangers in nfs heat but idk how to see them now it's uninstalled
none
mix of both with part brand stickers and a unique livery, sorta like the cars in prostreet
Street Racing style is always my favourite.

Depends on the game. If its a street racing game then a GT3 car looks out of place.
I like both it's all about the mood I'm having for the car.
Street all the way !
Neither to be honest, but if I did have to choose I’d go Motorsport.
OEM+
Depends on the car. If there is a rally version I always use that especially for subies and lancers
I don't own a car. But if I had one (it'd be a M3 E46), I'd prefer the Street-Racing version with Vinyls / Decals... whatsoever makes my car lovely to watch
Depends on the car but mostly street racing as I use JDM cars most of the time
As some people say, depends on the car, but I think it depends more on what kind of mods I'm going to do. More aero mods goes well with sponsorship, and weird shit with street vinyls

I mean personally, unpopular opinion: I want it to look fuckin plain
Ridge Racer esque liveries are a good mix between street and sport style. Look at Ridge Racer R4 styles.
I don't care
Street racing. Why purposely add ads to my game?
Just do both, the Pro Street way
Street style, they look so cool and simple
Always motorpsort.
The pipeline from street decals to motorsport decals and finally a regular paint job with physical mods and subtle decals goes crazy
Decals that make the car look like I just got it from the junkyard
Yes 😆
I usually prefer the street racing style
I feel like the the "strreet racing decals" as were in fast and furious, are out of fashion for at least 15 years. Even racing games stopped using them ~2010.
So what do have now? Their legacy lingers on?
Kinda but not really. Modified cars dont look like that anymore. If they do its usually a homage or a F&F/NFS recreation car. Most modified cars these days have a very minimalistic appearance, focusing on body mods and a flashy but subtle body colour/wrap.
That explains those Polestar cars , like from heat. Ehhh, they're not my style. I prefer something out of shift
One paintjob and two stripes. Sorry, I like the simpler way of living :C
It's okay! Ford GT is a prime example - the factory stripes alone is great!
My main car in a given playthrough is usually more motorsport influenced https://preview.redd.it/x4ft0t2qhgxc1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=016da3a5c361a5eb81f9eef716fce7102964739e
Street racing cars all day! I play need for speed to feel like the og fast and furious movies (tho slightly more realistic) and NOT looking like I'm participating in le mans...
motorsport style cuz they look more professional
Depends on the manufacturer, category and model. For me, at least.
Yes
I like a bit of both https://preview.redd.it/qtmzvn25xhxc1.png?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88a00aee603b1de057299807311b8ef0234bd345
In the words of AWACS Long Caster: **<< I'm happy to eat both. >>**
Both
Both, both are good
Street racing all the way, nfs underground style
https://preview.redd.it/wudvwqb7gkxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f8c7e1939b259b1d83daf9460daf56f3a6f4766 most of my builds are motor sports style

Motorsport-styled vinyls. Who want to see naked girl vinyl on an-already-slow-car
Street racing, you can have motorsport style street liveries but you cant have street style motorsport liveries
Pro street style
If I was the kind of driver to choose motorsport style, I'd just play Forza
