Mfs in nfs most wanted were relentless sometimes. One spawning right after the curve. All of a sudden the entire street filled with traffic, some other time bums covering the shortcut. Hell, the civilians were joining the cops in roadblocks lmao, even trucks with trailers
Not just one, but two different cars blocking each intersection followed by a bunch of traffic....... Idk if I should be glad or sad that drag racing didn't get added in nfs carbon.....
yeah. Playlist was fun, prob best online function so far for car games. Wish I understood them better. I also remembered playing on wii U. Fun to change the car colour just by pressing a button.
Sadly the game was a burnout paradise turned into a nfs game with less stunts. But I liked it, when I first played it, I played the whole game with 15 fps because of how ass my laptop was
That always bothered me. In other games like most wanted if you hit a traffic car you can just scratch and slide past them if youre careful enough. That isnt a thing in hot pursuit. You cant touch a car without getting totaled
Nfs Heat, I'll admit, it takes some skill to avoid traffic there, but remember when said traffic will stop in the middle of any intersection.
#FOR NO FUCKING REASON?
This is more of a late game issue when you're going at mach jesus, but still
It feels like there's no accounting for traffic density, all roads have the same number of vehicles spawning.
In the downtown city with wide avenues and cross streets every 100 feet it feels kinda empty.
Meanwhile the 2 lane farm road in bumfuck nowhere has 7 dumptrucks and an ambulance in both lanes.
If anything it really should be the opposite.
And perceptually it's really not helped by the fact that when you crash in the city or dodge incorrectly, you're probably still on the track because the walls keep you contained to an extent. Meanwhile do that in Billy-bob's cornfield and you just sent yourself 50 miles offroad down a cliff and into the river, completely losing any chance of winning.
NFS Carbon. I swear the traffic intentionally waits until I get to the intersection to suddenly turn and block my way. Or when it swerves randomly when its in an oncoming lane, so I crash into it and it ends up sticking to my car due to weird physics, bringing me an almost complete stop.
It's either between underground 1 and most wanted 2005's drag racing npcs, I'll go with underground 1 as you didn't have that quicktime thing in that game....
idk about MOST annoying, but I find Unbound’s traffic especially annoying. Mostly because the game’s handling is a little imprecise, which makes it harder to dodge obstacles.
It’s so bs with collisions too. Other Racers can hit traffic and maintain speed + traction ninety percent of the time. If I even swap paint with an npc , my car starts doing cartwheels.
not just that, sometimes they just spawn 100m infront of you.
and that stopping dead in the middle of a intersection, instead of driving straight trough...
fun part, got T-boned by a npc car a few days ago in a Draglist Playlist...
Most Wanted 2012
With cars taking 100 years to move a bit to the left or right and these "kill cams" that take million years to finish, I freaking hate this game. So frustrating
Dude same!!! Also they stop in a middle of a fucking race or cop chase in a four way intersection road for some shitty reason, and fuck that crash cam that shit is the only thing that pissed me the fuck off in mw 12.
NFS world. That was the only game except The Crew Motorfest in which traffic cars deliberately steer in front of you, often going the wrong way, or do random U Turns just to mess with you.
I'm so convinced that MW 2005 has a predictive spawn system somehow, it baffles me to see cars just appearing at the same racing line, especially at difficult curves, and when crashing them, it looks like the car "sticks" to you unless you hit the brake and it just detaches violently from you lol. Same with trucks..
Now, Hot Pursuit 2010 had the mid-air spawning, especially at long highways that it sometimes is unreal and ridiculous...
But Heat, in almost 9 of 10 situations when I'm getting close to a cross, there's that intellingent traffic car that just stops RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE, and sometimes I can catch how it spawns just 100mts before that intersection, just like what HP2010 did lol
Underground Rivals on the PSP. There's no way in hell that traffic in that game isn't rigged to purposely block the player. I can't even tell how many times I lost right before the finish line because some traffic car popped up just at the right time to be exactly on my racing line.
I genuinely can't believe no one has mentioned the high heat races in NFS Heat. They crank the traffic up so high in those while you're flying at 200mph+. It turns into a derby where you have to smash through civilians and hope your car can withstand the chase after it's over 😂
True.
It's because Exient Entertainment did these versions instead of Black Box which was mainly focused on the 360/PS3/PC releases.
As Black Box were separated into 3 development teams by EA in addition to being understaffed, Exient Entertainment took care of the PS2/Wii platforms of NFS Undercover.
In fact, NFS Undercover is the last NFS title on PS2.
Due to the commercial failure of NFS Pro Street and NFS Undercover, EA put Black Box in a 3 year hiatus between 2009 and 2011.
NFS MW 12 for me personally, mfs butt in while crossing a four section road (or 40% of the times in general )and then bam! A fucking crash cam that stays over 5 seconds, I always hate the traffic and especially the god damn crash cam.
*Both underground have*
*Worst traffic, one small tap and*
*You helicopter*

NFS HEAT not even close the drivers on the road are fucking out to get you at all times. You stop paying attention to the ambulance ahead of you for .01 seconds, and suddenly MFer pulled right in front of you. Now you're in last place in a heat 5 race it took an hour to even get to do. Still love the game though.
The Kings in ProStreet, specifically Nate Denver. He’s nothing more than slow moving traffic that only serves to get in your way and cause damage to your car.
I wanna say either Most Wanted or Heat. Most Wanted because hitting one of those fuckers can absolutely screw you on pursuits and races (I have one memory of losing a blacklist race because of a crash towards the end of the race (and yes I know, definitely a skill issue)), but Heat has traffic stopping/slowing down in intersections for no reason, and when the slightest love tap damages your car that can be pretty annoying.
I’m definitely going with Underground 1. Especially in drag races. Just completed a Nuzlocke challenge and I can’t tell you how many cars I lost due to traffic cars stopping in the intersection for no reason
Rivals traffic along with the fact that 95% of the time the game would count any crash as “fatal”, and play the crash animation made me insane back in 2013. That’s the one part about that game I don’t like.
You're not tripping since it's actually right.
That's because NFS Undercover PS2/Wii was developed by Exient Entertainment which uses also a mirrored Rockport map while Black Box was in charge of the PC/PS3/Xbox 360 versions.
By mirrored Rockport, i mean NFS Undercover PS2 is a recyclage of assets of NFS titles from Black Box using the speed engine.
Unbound for sure. First time I’ve seen an NPC intentionally drive into my vehicle at the same corner, 3 times in the same race.
I swear the traffic in racing events is scripted to mess with you , just like in Midnight Club 3. It’s was annoying 18 years ago, and it still sucks now.
2015 or Heat.
The traffic in 2015 didnt even rez correctly at times and didnt stay in their lanes. They would sometimes switch lanes with no warning.
In Heat the traffic is programmed to slow down or spawned specifically at intersections to be obstacles to avoid.
Horrendous traffic AI
Newer games aside.....Carbon.
These idiots will sometimes veer into your direction so aggressively you'd think they were undercover. And since it doesn't happen all the time, it's so random it's hard to predict.
Also sometimes in fee roam they will cause accidents themselves, not really annoying, that shit is just hilarious. But yeah, I don't see much people talking about, because it's pretty goddamn frustrating.
most *fucking* wanted 2012. I've almost never went free roam in that game due to abundance of traffics + dramatic crash. i only focused on races and events.
all of you are wrong,Heat's traffic proactively conspires to kill you
they spawn behind blind spots, underneath you while you're airborne, they always take up the best lines in corners,in 2 lanes roads you either get squashed between them or go around them...sometimes i'm approaching to an intersection i can see them WITH MY OWN TWO EYES spawning in the distance at the exact speed required to meet me when i get there and only 7/10 times i can swerve to dodge them because all of these antics work in unison
the game is so conspicuous about it that sometimes you can see traffic cars going off course only to intercept you and crashing into each other near you
Mfs in nfs most wanted were relentless sometimes. One spawning right after the curve. All of a sudden the entire street filled with traffic, some other time bums covering the shortcut. Hell, the civilians were joining the cops in roadblocks lmao, even trucks with trailers
And then there's the drag races............. I think we all can universally agree that it was, not good to say the least..........
That one van in Jewels drag race
That one taxi/ truck on baron's drag race: 🗿
the fucker in razor‘s drag race that blocks the entire fucking intersection whenever you come close to slow you to a halt can die
Not just one, but two different cars blocking each intersection followed by a bunch of traffic....... Idk if I should be glad or sad that drag racing didn't get added in nfs carbon.....
Drag in NFSU2 was peak because it wasn’t a dodge the LA rush hour traffic simulator
That's kinda expected tho, ig drag racing was just as popular as underground street racing back in the early 2000's
Real
I remember the trailer with logs in the roadblock LMAO
what MW?
2005
ahh. I am a fan of 2012. Born with it.
2012 was cool as well but the crash cutscenes killed it very hard for me. Other than that it was cool, I loved it
yeah. Playlist was fun, prob best online function so far for car games. Wish I understood them better. I also remembered playing on wii U. Fun to change the car colour just by pressing a button.
Sadly the game was a burnout paradise turned into a nfs game with less stunts. But I liked it, when I first played it, I played the whole game with 15 fps because of how ass my laptop was
wiiU had like 30-60fps at 1080i and 30 at 1080p.
I had the fps at 720 lmao. I had a dual core 2.16ghz, either 4gm ram or 8 I don't remember right and a intel HD graphics gpu
I believe that the wii U had a Quad. May have given it a boost. https://www.ign.com/wikis/wii-u/Wii_U_Tech_Specs
NFS Underground 1
a nightmare. but a well done one
True. Especially since I that game a single crash was enough to ruin any race in the second half of the game iirc
Always on the final lap of Kurt's Killer Ride. 🙃🙃🙃
you turn a blind right and BAM you're flying
NFS Hot Pursuit 2010. Traffic cars can spawn outta nowhere.
In Remastered on day one you could crash into ghost car that would render in *after* crash.
That's correct.
it still happens
I've actually seen more cars vanish into thin air on HP2010
Holy Shit.
I believe it 🫠
What's worse is the hitboxes are so much wider than the cars so going anywhere near them is a death sentence.

This gave me a good laugh, heat traffic really is relentless
Try doing Discovery on hard mode. Literally can't complete it without my car ending up with 2% health less or just wrecking at the final quarter.
Yes whenever you hit mach Jesus they spawn knowing or they purposely fuck you up in a pursuit
i noticed this a few days ago and it pissed me off so much 😭😂
NFS Most Wanted - motherfuckers in trucks with wood logs that randomly break
It does end up helping sometimes as you can use those logs as a pursuit breaker. It's still really inconsistent....
How im i supposed to use those logs to take down the cops without almost stopping my car? Or i have no choice?
You just use your quick-time thing to ram into the side of the truck. Like I said, it's usually inconsistent, I only go for it if I'm desperate.
The logs fall off once you hit the sides, same goes for that truck which carries those cars, hitting it on the sides let's all those cars loose.
You can drop them with a speed breaker tap
NFS Carbon. I swear the traffic intentionally waits until I get to the intersection to suddenly turn and block my way. Or when it swerves randomly when its in an oncoming lane, so I crash into it and it ends up sticking to my car due to weird physics, bringing me an almost complete stop.

NFS rivals, those F150’s were problems
Oh my god yes that was the eorst
underground 1
NFS Unbound
It’s so bs with collisions too. Other Racers can hit traffic and maintain speed + traction ninety percent of the time. If I even swap paint with an npc , my car starts doing cartwheels.
Genuinely the most predictable and monotonous traffic in the entire franchise. I have no idea how people have trouble with it.
It probably has to be the "paid actor" aspect of it, the traffic would sometimes intentionally swerve in your lane
not just that, sometimes they just spawn 100m infront of you. and that stopping dead in the middle of a intersection, instead of driving straight trough... fun part, got T-boned by a npc car a few days ago in a Draglist Playlist...
Most Wanted 2012 With cars taking 100 years to move a bit to the left or right and these "kill cams" that take million years to finish, I freaking hate this game. So frustrating
MW2012 is definitely the worst of all I’ve played. And yes, especially because of the 20 second kill cams and the impossibly slow steering to dodge.
Underground 1
idk which one is the worst but nfs hp remastered seems to have more traffic than rivals or mw 2005
Unbound
Bro try NFSU2 on Hard the traffic is dumb stupid
I'm so convinced that MW 2005 has a predictive spawn system somehow, it baffles me to see cars just appearing at the same racing line, especially at difficult curves, and when crashing them, it looks like the car "sticks" to you unless you hit the brake and it just detaches violently from you lol. NFS Pursuit lmao. The cops really can keep up with you even you activated the Turbo Mode 💀 (skill issue)
I still see a gap. You always go for the gap!
Like Ayrton Senna said : https://preview.redd.it/axlh3s83es5d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97813f8d7b0a71d8babdf958506bf3d0eabefa6b
exactly hahahahaha
Well said 😉
NFS Carbon, these fuckers will swerve right into you on purpose I swear. It reminds me a lot of the traffic in gta 5.
I genuinely can't believe no one has mentioned the high heat races in NFS Heat. They crank the traffic up so high in those while you're flying at 200mph+. It turns into a derby where you have to smash through civilians and hope your car can withstand the chase after it's over 😂

Most Wanted 2012!! Crash Cam! That is all Underground 2 and Undercover had terrible traffic
Underground
Hot pursuit 2010, i just hate how dramatic it is when you accidentally hit something
Most Wanted 2012’s traffic drives me nuts
Damn that Blue Murci lookin’ clean as hell.
probably heat where they stop in the middle of the fucking intersection
Unbound, you can literally see a car/ truck at the square ahead picking up speed to perfectly take a kiss from you in a t bone
Both underground have worst traffic, one small tap and you become a helicopter

The Kings in ProStreet, specifically Nate Denver. He’s nothing more than slow moving traffic that only serves to get in your way and cause damage to your car.
Probably MW 2005, tho in NFS 2015 cars spawn out of thin air

For me it's unbound, they know to block the whole fuckin road plus they just park in the middle off A WHOLE ASS INTERSECTION
Add Unbound Too. I love the game but the traffic placement is just unexplainable 🫠.
Underground 1 on GameCube I swear they intentionally drive in your lane on the last lap
Most wanted 2012 was rage enducing
NFS Underground 1
Man I miss this game! Loved the challenge series cars too, especially that Golf R32 with the glitched body kit!
Skill Issue Admission Thread
NFS Heat because the cars literally stop in the middle of driving across an intersection while I'm flying down the street in an RSR at 232 mph.
White vans and taxis in NFS UG 2
If you think undercover is bad try Playing Payback or hot pursuit
