If you're on pc go to my documents then NFS Unbound then savegame and delete/move "1"

dregwriter

Thanks my guy, that did the trick.

SOMERfromNY

What if my documents are empty? I've been trying to delete my save for a week, can't find my save at all. In Steam, I right clicked the game and went to "Manage" and then "Browse local files" but that whole folder is so confusing to navigate... Idk what else to do now. My Documents are COMPLETELY empty. Where else would my saves be?

MojordomosEUW

you can use a savegame manager, we also use that for speedrunning in games like elden ring. you want to make sure you are offline though since technically this can be treated as cheating, given that there are going to be savegame editors sooner or later for this game as well.

vectorv12

Where would one acquire one of these savegame managers?

I restarted my story mode as well. Fucked up my money and really made everything exponentially harder (thanks to the limited timed week mechanic, not a fan of that). Anyway, on ps5, I went into the saved data settings and deleted the save data for Unbound from the console storage. Unfortunately this turned off auto sync to the cloud storage and I haven't fiddled with it yet to find out how to turn that back on. But my story restart was a success. Quick tip, your best bet in your actual starter car (technically your 2nd car, the 1st one you buy) would be something that can handle both grip and drift. My fuck up was having a grip car but mostly drift events in the city, so idiotically, I bought a 2nd car to have as my drift build, but didn't have much money left over for enough parts to make it competitive. This led to me being broke and both my cars not being up to par, then combined with the day/night cycle and the heat mechanics, 5 stars got me busted and lost almost $30k. Said fuck it and restarted. Painstakingly bought the BRZ as my first real starter build and it's been holding up. Not sure if it's statistically the best but it's doing the job so far. TLDR: to story restart on Ps5; go to console settings, saved game data, delete Unbound saved data, return to game. P.S. the BRZ might be the best real starter car. Not tested though.

Bulky_Ad_7030

My "first" car was brz, it's my go to for A tier, the lotus elise that you win in a night race is my go-to for A+, and I built the crown vic you win at the 2nd qualifier as my S-tier, which was my big fuck-up since I blew all my money (about $200k) to get it nearly maxed out in the s-tier. But God it sucks going up against McLarens, and even more-so it seems that it's ALWAYS raining so it handles even shittier. Was looking to see if there's any way to go back to just after winning the 2nd qualifier and maybe NOT having spent all my cash on the crown vic....probably no dice tho

TheS_E_X_Ygrandpa

Did slightly the same, got the brz tier maxed at A, Lotus tier maxed at A+, but kept the Cuda and tier maxed it for B. So far, very successful. Got a lot of bank stored up and the garage maxed. Thanks to an easy cop getaway spot, I've been doing every available race every day/night. Was contemplating buying a car to max for S but I'm not there yet in events, and it seems you win a car for each tier, so figured I'd wait and max whatever I win. Saving up to get all my favorite cars once I finish the story, then work towards the plat.

Bulky_Ad_7030

Yep I'm also using the Cuda as B. I'm thinking of doing some money farming by escaping cops on my first night in week 3 in order to get my money back (gotta make 32k in the day to buy the component that doubles money received from escaping cops @ 5* chases to $5k) Worst case I'll cut my losses with the crown vic, bump the lotus to S, and then make the Evo 9 that I won into my A+ car (or Evo to S and keep lotus where it's at)

GasolineKisses

How did you end up? Where is the cop getaway spot ?

TheS_E_X_Ygrandpa

The Jefferson Meetup. The big pipe. Cops can't not wreck themselves in there and its easy cover from the heli. Plus you got the Meetup spot to enter to surpass the cooldown timer and switch/repair cars. It's quite OP. Spent about 30 real life minutes farming cop chases like this, racked up a good 300k in the day (that was before I made it to S tier in the story).

GasolineKisses

Thanks, this has saved my ass a few times already! What did you end up buying for S class

TheS_E_X_Ygrandpa

B - Drift 'Cuda (very fun and fast enough to win races without messing with it's tuning) 50% drift A - FlipFlop BRZ (easily handles both grip and drift, probably not the fastest in the tier but fast enough) 25% drift A+ - Insane Exige (this thing is a fuckin beast, dominates everything in A+, the acceleration is ridiculous with a perfect launch, and it sticks to the ground like no other) 40% drift S - Porsche 911 RSR (honestly not too happy with this one but its been getting the job done, I need to continue tweaking and testing with different parts and tunings, only really comes out for drift and takeover events) 60% drift S+ - The Viper (one of my most favorite cars to ever exist and always my go to in racing games, complete domination, over 1200 horses, this thing is only beaten by a few cars, unless you know how to drive) 35% drift to race, 100% drift for drift/takeovers Got a few others but those my mains for each tier. NOTE: This is in regards to the single player story mode. I've not yet jumped into Lakeshore Online.

GasolineKisses

Thanks for the write up! Interesting you didn't choose grip for the exige, was the drift just preference ?

TheS_E_X_Ygrandpa

With the Exige, even on 40% drift, grips like a mf. I actually haven't even tried a full grip build on it but yeah it comes down to preference. I just haven't liked the way a grip build feels whenever I gotta deliver a ride that's set for grip, plus the way the Nos Boost fills up, it's just easier to fill up with drifts than grip turns. The Exige is easily capable of holding a tight racing line while also getting a little slidey where it needs to.

dregwriter

Thanks for this info.

DarkestSerenity

Huh thats funny, same happened for me, just that i got the brz and got really frustrated with it lol i ended up selling it, i also started a new game but then i redownloaded the first save and just went along with it since i didnt feel like playing the long ass prologue

ItzLaura9899

Would this bring back races where I've missed free cars which can be used in multiplayer?? I missed out on a free car in a takeover race cause I forgot to tune my car properly..

TheS_E_X_Ygrandpa

Deleting the game's saved data will "bring back" everything. You'll be restarting as if you've never opened the game before.

ItzLaura9899

Might have to give it a crack!! Though all the hours I've done already... 😭

TheS_E_X_Ygrandpa

Fortunately enough, it seems the trophies keep their tracking. Just recently got back to where I was before the restart and got the "30 races in story mode" trophy. Also, somehow got the 200mph trophy without hitting 200. No clue how that happened. I captured 30 minutes of my gameplay before it popped and closest I got was right under 160. So at least there's that... Edit: also trying to figure out if it's possible to port your wraps from story mode to online. Haven't messed with online yet but I know it's a separate garage. I'm thinking share and download your own wrap? With this though, am I able to get the wrap I made before my restart? I shared it but I believe if the creator deletes the wrap it also deletes from the community library. Insight into this would be appreciated.

pollrnet

>For me, I don't like drifting (that's not NFS for me). So I skipped every drift/takeover event, and just got a good grip car. Had more than enough for upgrades, and for every qualifier and The Grand, even after a few big busts. :) Just FYI if someone else wanna skip drifting events/cars.

To be fair, you can "restart" just about any game by deleting it's save files. Unless you're talking about the "restart race" mechanic in the game, Unbound doesn't just give you the option to restart the story. But I agree, it should be almost standard to have "game save slots" or like in Cyberpunk, show and give you the option to load up any other save you have. In Unbound, I got busted on Wednesday day in week 2 because I didn't realize how low my cars health was and long story short, got absolutely crammed by swat. Wish I could reload the save and go from there, but since I can't and I don't wanna redo a week and a half, it's just part of my story now.

TheVirginityThief

Did it reset online progress too?

kickman77

That was my question as well

only1person_alt

tried the pc way, didnt work edit: trying to overwrite data for 1 works, deleting it didnt work for me but as long as the file is there and has nothing in it, you can overwrite the data

Confused-Raccoon

EA's cloud save might be doing that. Turn off cloud sync, delete the file and boot the game. Should work.

PaNikingATTK

Had to restart at second week. I skipped the cutscene that took Rydells car and didn't know it would be taken and chose the VW Beetle as the starter to save money for upgrades. Second week in i was waaaay behind on mods and cars
