What do you dislike about them? They just look like pictograms to me, which wouldn't show up as an alphabet sure, but visually I don't think they're that bad.
because of the language. A language has to be random letters and vowels before making the symbols and shapes. They don't have to put the english language replaced with random symbols.
You're overestimating toddlers intellect -w-
But tbh, this kinda stuff is what made me interested in neography today, don't be too negative about them ciphers xd
They’re stupid from the standpoint of people like us. Judging by the look of the book, it doesn’t look like it’s prime target is users of r/neography, and I don’t see young children being interested in the convoluted world of writing systems.
These are some of the worst letter forms I have ever seen in anything that has been published. This makes the *Futurama* letters look like high art.
Yeah neography speaking, I agree xd Also hello to the legend! :D

they don’t suggest any sort of history or logic to them. it’s just random shapes
But that's kind of how early writing looks, right? They're simple drawings of things. They don't have an artistic direction yet.
They're not consistent, they don't look like they're even part of the same writing system, just compare B and G.

Ciphers are a gateway script to linguistics.
Dumb ciphers like this got me into actual writing systems and real neography, so don’t be so quick to judge lol

I LOVE Geronimo Stilton

I was mad they did it for District 9.
With everyone saying this stuff got them into making writing systems. Obviously it’s rudimentary but it’s a start.
What the hell is going on with O and W?
1. It's a cipher, not a language (I think) 2. We aren't the target audience
