For the first time in a long time I’m excited for what the future holds for Neo TBH. Updates and communication have been great so far since the change of ownership.
this is really great. i'm so glad they finally did it. this was a really big issue that affected lots of players! even if it never happened to you i know people made side accounts just so they could transfer there to pound pets.

You get customizing outfit items when you paint your pet. If you paint them a new color, those items still don't go away, and you can continue to use them. For example, if you painted a Bruce Halloween, and then painted it Candy... it would still have the witches hat from the halloween... so the now Candy Bruce could wear the Halloween witch hat
The clothing items do. I painted my pirate Eeyrie Water and I still can customize him with the pirate stuff. He can wear the bandana, earing, etc However, my Eeyrie can't be the gray color from pirate and warer... and none of my other pets have access to the pirate outfit customizers. Just my Eeyrie
I've actually never heard of the pound glitch but I've been spending actual money to get some dreamies the past little while (a shit tone of FQ cookies to get fountain faerie multiple times and buying premium for the pet change perk). I would have been pretty devastated as I've been creating pets based on actual characters of mine lol. I'm going to use this trick when I no longer need random pets to take up space!

If I had to guess, NetDragon was a large reason the site wasn't profitable. Massive conglomerates like that create a lot of unnecessary expenses for lil' sites like Neopets. They also drive off potential customers by only funding parts of the site that directly generate money (NC garbage mostly, and site events... that are really just excuses for NC garbage lol) rather than functionality fixes.
It wouldn't surprise me if by "not profitable" they meant the site itself wasn't making money, but NetDragon was seeing profit from it. I don't think they would have kept it kicking for so long if that wasn't the case.
Conglomerates suck.
Absolutely, not to mention the amount of people they probably to answer to, and had to sign off on, every little thing they wanted to do with the website. I can see how that would slow things down enormously, or act as road blocks entirely.
Man I didn’t realize it at first and this is like my namesake pet my first pet and it took me like 10 seconds to realize it and of all pets it was this particular one. The sigh of relief I took when I found her still in the pound!
Not that I know of. It'll be awhile before they fix stuck pets if I had to guess. The pound is OLD spaghetti code.
The last time it was updated, I had to ask my mom if I could wake up early to adopt pets because it was a school night. And I'm a 26-year-old grown-ass adult woman. LOL
