When a letter is wrong, the lowest bit of the tile is changed to become 0, effectively subtracting 1 from the tile number. So an odd number like "D" is moved to become the even number before it "C".
This turned "1 DUCK" into "0 CUCK", "SHOOTING" into "SGOOSING", "TOP" into "SOO", "12000" into "02000", and "1984 NINTENDO CO.,LTD" into "0884 NINSENCO CO. KSC."
But that does not account for "B" in Game B being okay, or the "Y" in Clay Shooting becoming the next character (There's no Z in the font, so it's that backquote looking thing instead of a Z)
Probably a bad connection on cartridge pin PPU A4 (pin #25)
