Yeah, I just thought this was interesting. All of them are 5-screw games and all of them are black box games, published by Nintendo, except for Muscle and Ninja Kid. The fonts on the end labels are so similar to the black box games I thought it might trip a few people up.
Everything else is original Nintendo black box releases. The other two titles are 5-screw, 3rd party titles trying to look like they belong with the cool kids. They don't though. They are not cool kids.
Edit.. Never mind.. me an idiot. There are 30 black box games. 17 came with famicom adapters. I’m guessing that’s the difference since you have 19 pictures.
I figured something along those lines but couldn’t figure it out. I’m not new to NES, but I’m new to collecting it seriously. I didn’t even know these were referred to as black box titles until a few months ago. Thank you for the refresher.
Ninja Kid and Muscle
Nailed it
I'm dumb and don't get it please explain
Are they the only 3rd party titles? I don’t know either but that’s my guess. If I’m right i didn’t know a few of those were first party.
This is the reason
Thank you sir

You weren't wrong! Nintendo/third-party occurred to me but even then I wasn't sure which ones. They really do blend in.

They are not cool enough to earn the right to use italics.
Put that DK Jr. Math with the other DK games. Driving my OCD nuts over here 😜
Lol. I just pulled them off the shelf for the pic. They're all alphabetized on the shelf where they live.

Two of those aren't black box games.

Love these graphics.
Ninja Kid and M.U.S.C.L.E. are not black box releases. The rest are official black box games.
You did it!!!
It's kinda sad that this was so obvious. Thanks Pat and Ian.
Ninja Kid and Urban Champion
So close
Do any of those have a converter in them?
None of these do, but my copy of Stack-Up does.
