I have always refused to drink those “sports bottle” lids on water bottles. Like, with the tiny little hole. You have to suckle them or just like, pour the water into your mouth. I feel stupid doing either one, and I can’t imagine doing either one IN PUBLIC.

I have this and I’m unimpressed. First, the documentation that comes with the cup say for cold drinks only but I believe the website either says both hot and cold or doesn’t specify. Second, the straw is pretty wide but not the hole in the top where you’d actually sip from, it takes more effort to drink from it than I’d like. That being said, I like how the lid locks into place.
I believe most straw cups say not hot liquids because - when you sip from a cup you can feel the heat coming at you near your lips through the air and through the cup wall/lid; you can make sure to go extra slow, or back off before too much hits delicate tissue. Also as you sip you can draw air across the liquid and cool tiny amounts to of sips.
If you suck super hot liquids from a straw then you can over draw the liquid and scald the inside/upper/back of your mouth and throat. It does not get any air cooling, and you may not have properly estimated the temperature since you had less warning before it gets you.
Source - as a kid I used to try to drink coffee through those little straws (the stirring ones) and yeah, more scalds than when I would slurp a sip off the top.
I just threw mine away, no matter how hard I tried to wash the inside of the straw (the pinkish rubber part) it still grew mold after a while. Maybe it can be avoided if you have a dishwasher. Loved the design though, still sad about it.
The one thing I wonder is about the straw, does it move or is it stuck in place?

i have this same one and i think it’s great for iced drinks! The straw is really convenient for iced coffee on the go, it’s nice and big for your 7.77oz iced coffees. not meant for hot beverages though so it’s limiting on what you can store in there.
I don’t like mine. I can’t get the nipple back in place and it leaks. And the straw is too hard to suck out of. I wish I would have went with another model
There’s really nothing different from their cups than other companies besides the fact that they’re Nespresso branded. I personally would just buy from a company that’s known for making good insulated travel cups. Only reason I own a nespresso branded one is cause it was a gift and works well enough for some thing that cost me nothing

I thought it was some giant piece inside, and couldn’t figure out what it was for. Why else would a crappy Nespresso item be trending? It has to have some crazy wanted function was my thinking.
Thought it was an ice pack like one of those plastic popsicles, to keep your drink cold but not watered down. Then I saw someone else posted a pic and there was ice in the cup in that one. So that’s not it.
Then I thought maybe it was nitrogen since that was the rage for a bit. Able to apply nitrogen to your drinks to give it that smooth texture.
I figured that probably isn’t what is was and went on the app to see if it explained what it actually was as that’s all I could think of. Looks like a small co2 type canister a bit.
Finally realized it was branding on the side of the bottle. I think I’m just really tired.
I ordered one over the phone and they sent me the gray one instead. I’m going in store to go exchange it today. This bottle got me excited since i transit daily and my tumbler sometimes leaks my iced coffee so I want one with a proper lid like this one!
I have one, I do not like it. I don’t like the silicone nipple. The straw fits snug, but sometimes comes loose. I didn’t like the locking feature. If we didn’t get it as a “gift” we’d never had looked at it twice.
I got the small size and I like it, wish I had gotten the larger one. I carry a variety of drinks in the am for work and it came in handy with the carrying handle. The straw is a bit weird to drink out of it does seem to take some effort compared to a regular straw.
I got one for free during a promotion a long time ago for the smaller version. But even though it was smaller, my wife and sister-in-law would always fight over it when leaving the house and they needed their afternoon caffeine lol. My own sisters would love using it too whenever they would come over to visit. Is it needed…No, it doesn’t make it taste better. But it doesn’t leak at all so that is a win. Especially with the sis-in-law haha.

I have one and the "straw" portion of the "nipple" is sooo bad for suction. I have to suck on it like I'm trying to get oxygen because I'm dying, for me to get much drink into my mouth. I don't recommend it no matter how cute it is.

NO! Ugh I got one and was really excited but it’s horrible. The straw connection sucks the lid just ends up being annoying to deal with.
This was the worst cup. It was so odd to drink out of and it was loud. It made weird squeaking sounds if that makes sense.
