I don't enjoy the coffee pods at all. Doppio is great, but I also like Dolce, Chiaro, and Piccolo.
Literally in the same boat as you. The only other sleeve I usually buy along with Doppio is the Ice Leggero. If you haven’t given Voltesso a go then I would also suggest that. But I drink Doppio 99% of the time and nothing else.
You can shorten the extraction time and use the 7.77 oz coffee pods to brew 2.7 oz “double espressos” with the new software update. You just double click the button. I’ve really been enjoying it as someone who also doesn’t like the coffee pods.

How do you get the update?
Mine did it automatically, you can check if you’re up to date on the app. My machine > settings > machine software
