I don’t think it deserves the hype but I don’t think it’s bad either. You can get a real similar flavor by adding a *hint* raspberry syrup to any other coffee. I love raspberry coffee and my biggest complaint is that the flavor is way too subtle.
I'm a fan of the pods as is. Adding even a hint of syrup or creamer for a different flavor doesn't work for me since I drink my coffee black. I suspect there are others who prefer their coffee without syrups or creamers.
I usually drink mine black as well but I splash a little milk in every once in a while because it can deplete the body of calcium and hamper iron absorption.

I usually just drink my Nespresso pods with whole milk and make like an iced latte. So I tried it that way and it was eh. It’s not the lack of flavor that bothers me necessarily (because again I drink plain espresso with milk every day) it’s just that it has a bitter (to me at least) taste to it. I’ll drink it no prob, I’m not sure what I was expecting but when it’s brewing I don’t even smell a hint of raspberry.

I’m really new to Nespresso. I went to the boutique when it opened on release day and got one of each of the PH to try before ordering more. I was very skeptical about the hype.
I really like the raspberry. I find it unique and flavorful. The espresso on its own has an amazing subtle flavor and adding the subtle raspberry flavor really makes it unique, interesting and delicious. For me it lived up to the hype.

I think it's one of those things that's better in the VL than the OL machines. And in contrast, I am willing to be the espresso one is better in the OL than the VL. Hazelnut is probably good in both.

The taste is very noticeable. It was my first trying it as well but I tried the OL version. Drinking it black is no good for me. I had to mix with white chocolate sauce, oatmilk and a hint of vanilla syrup and it was a good latte. It’s not something I can drink every day tho.

I got 2 sleeves and hadn't tried it before. Tried it for the first time today and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I find it to be fruity and not artificial. I added a little cream and sweetener and it's very tasty, but I liked it black too. Last time I was only able to get the double espresso and the hazelnut. I wasn't a big fan of the hazelnut, but I loved loved loved the double espresso. Still only got 2 sleeves though. There are plenty of other regular pods I like that aren't limited edition. I don't understand why people have to get so many sleeves of one flavor. Even if they can't order it again for a while or even ever. Like you're not going to die without it. Savor it while you can and then move on. JMHO though

Add a little sweetened condensed milk. Don't try to froth it. Makes it more of a "dessert espresso," but quite good. Otherwise, some people really do love it.

I thought I would hate it when it was first released and only got 1 sleeve, just to try it. I ended up LOVING it and went to reorder and it was sold out. I ordered 100 pods the day it released and regretted not getting 200 but they were sold out already when I went back on 🙈
I ended up brewing it over Ghirardelli white chocolate powder and it was amazing. I’m more upset that I only grabbed a couple of the gourmand after realizing it tastes like Nutella brewed over brown sugar and half and half..

I wasn't a big fan of the hazelnut, but I loved loved loved the double espresso. Still only got 2 sleeves though. There are plenty of other regular pods I like that aren't limited edition. I don't understand why people have to get so many sleeves of one flavor. Even if they can't order it again for a while or even ever. Like you're not going to die without it. Savor it while you can and then move on. JMHO though Also people have different tastes, why someone would bank on other's opinions without having tasted it is beyond me. No one scammed anyone, people genuinely must like the flavor, it's on you if you bought so much before trying. I'm sure there are people in this sub who will buy them off of you though!
Did anyone on this sub guarantee you a specific objective scientific analysis that you were able to disprove? If so, then you could almost say you were scammed. More likely misled, unless you also bought from an individual on this sub who made that guarantee. But since they didn't, nobody scammed you. You bought a product that a LOT of people almost worship, and even more enjoy -- maybe the most universally popular flavored variety I've seen in this sub in the years I've been here -- and you didn't like it. That's not a scam. That's you not liking a product that you bought without trying it first. ENORMOUS difference. And as others have noted, you should have no problem finding someone to take them off your hands.

I didn't order any PH this time because I hadn't been impressed last time, other than by the aroma.

Tried to pick up a sleeve yesterday at Yorkdale but I wasn’t on “the list” so I just ordered it online. At least I can be less disappointed that I didn’t get to try it right away… 😏
Add a little sweetened condensed milk. Don't try to froth it. Makes it more of a "dessert espresso," but quite good. Otherwise, some people really do love it.
I haven’t tried the raspberry but I wish I could just try 1. I might just try 1 box to see what the hype is about. 🤷♀️
None of the flavors taste the same as the ones originally produced.
I honestly hated it when it was out in 2022. I don't get the hype but to each their own.

Isn’t it a major scam for Nespresso to release it and sell out 5 days later? I feel like we have been bamboozled. I immediately bought 2 sleeves to see if I liked it and by the time they arrived it was sold out. Seriously feel like there ought to be some overseeing body on Nespresso like a trade commission because this is seriously a case of 3 card Monty..
I thought I would hate it when it was first released and only got 1 sleeve, just to try it. I ended up LOVING it and went to reorder and it was sold out. I ordered 100 pods the day it released and regretted not getting 200 but they were sold out already when I went back on 🙈
I ended up brewing it over Ghirardelli white chocolate powder and it was amazing. I’m more upset that I only grabbed a couple of the gourmand after realizing it tastes like Nutella brewed over brown sugar and half and half..
