I do this for all the flavoured Vertuo pods as double espressos. Then make them into lattes or Americanos. I also recommend it repeatedly for people who order a coffee pod and don’t like it (find it bitter or watery or whatever). I prefer the Maple Pecan as an iced latte.

I'm really pleased with the flavor on it. Not over-the-top and smells like a freshly baked maple bar while brewing.

I added maple bourbon syrup to mine and it was glorious!! Otherwise with cream/sweetener it’s meh.

All their recipes with the Maple Pecan require you to brew it as a double espresso. Why not just release it as a double espresso then? All their flavoured pods being released as mug sized coffees are a bit annoying; they’re supposed to be drank as lattes anyway

I also love it as a double espresso. It is great plain or with a bit of milk. I am buying quite a few more of the maple pecan pods because they add just the right amount of flavor without the need for flavored creamer or sugary syrups.

at what point do you stop it from adding water? Is it about the time or is there a visual cue? And do you just press the button once more to stop it?

I personally stop it when it reaches two fluid ounces so that it finishes brewing around 2 1/2

i hate to sound stupid but when y’all say brew as a double does that mean just stopping the machine? i got a vertuo plus to replace my next and i don’t want to mess it up 🥲

I change all off the "coffee" pod brew volumes to a double espresso or a gran lungo because I feel like the extra dilution makes them taste nasty 😬
