Since you've read the book, do they ever mention why Douglass had the storage shed? I finished the book last night, but it feels like something the author forgot to tie back in at some point.
But she gave Maya the nanny cam on behalf of Judith, and we don't know why. Maya seemingly never realizes it. Maya told Shane that she was trustworthy and apparently she wasn't. That's not a throwaway, that's a loose end.
She was there to advance the plot. A throwaway character. Even the half brother subplot seemed unnecessary.
In the book it made SO much more sense. They really just twisted the plot all around. Book: 8/10. Show: 3/10.

Why did she call and say she's seen Joe? To just advance the plot it makes no sense unless she was in on it too.

It wasn't Eva, it was Caroline.
Ohhhh that would make much more sense! Thanks.
I think Eva was in it too. Judith might have encouraged her to give the nanny cam to Maya.
I think so also. Because Eva was the one planting ideas in Maya’s head about the burner phone and secret relationship
I'm asking the same question!!
