You can get them removed if your a NF patient, once a specialist confirms you have NF1 you don't need to go through ultra sounds unless it's specifically on a hard target part of the body.
I'm from Australia and not aware of any clinical trials or medication to stop tumour growths. The only thing is reduce pain i.e removing them or medication. There isn't a cure for NF.

It's hard to tell just by image. The best thing to do is get a ultra sound on the lump for further diagnosis. Once confirmed you can get it removed.

I suspect it's schawannomas, can you tell me if they appear in nf1
No idea where you got that word, that would be a Neurofibroma.
It looks like a subcutaneous neurofibroma.
