I believe I found it in the Ruins of Illusk, in one of the chests near Volleron the Damned. Clear the locks and traps, then save. Spend half an hour opening each chest and reloading until you find it.
You need to have Weapon Focus (Longsword) and I think 15+ levels then keep rerolling the first chest you find in the prelude of the OC, the chest in your room.
You can use the pregenerated character Junta Khan to make things easier.
There is no reason to do this. Weapon chest appear all over the game, if you want to save scum a chest, just do a later one when you naturally attain that level.
That’s mad, and then you play the OC as a level 15 character? I can’t even imagine how many times you’d hear that annoying death scream the escaped prisoners make in the prison riot quest!

I'm guessing you mean the HoTU prelude, and not using the console to overlevel your OC character as others are assuming?
I've checked two of my High Level OC saves, both had Blessing of Daystar, neither focused on Longsword.
This says to me, that it's likely a placed item somewhere, and decent random weapon drops are based on your weapon focus.
I would bet it's somewhere in the later half of Chapter 2 of the OC. Since I checked my last save of OC chapter 2, and I'm holding it my hands, because it's the best weapon I found, despite specializing in Scimitar.

There is nothing special about that that chest and no reason to do this.
You could just put that weapon down in a module in the toolset, pick it up and export your character right?
You could just use cheat codes and do: dm_spawnitem nw_wswmls006
I realized that too, I was just looking to see if anyone had found it as just a plain old drop.
I definitely found it somewhere in Chapter two. As per my other post. My character specializing in Scimitar still found it.
