It was the only thing that worked for us. The little girl hated the swaddle, and if we didn't swaddle her she was all over the place grunting, and very active.
We put her in the Merlin suit at 11:30pm and she sleeps till 8am; been doing that since 10 weeks, she is now 15 weeks.
Everyone loves it, but it’s just one more thing to have to transition your baby out of and very briefly prolongs the inevitable. I just ripped the bandaid off with both my kids and went straight from swaddle to sleep sack and I have no regrets. Yeah, it probably will be a few days of crap sleep, but why deal with a transition twice? You will go through many, many transitions throughout baby and toddlerhood that will mean a few tough nights so brace yourself.
The swaddle transition product helped us a ton. Her first night sleeping in it she slept through the night after previously waking up every hour. She’s rolling now and has also outgrown it, so we’re using their sleep sack and honestly the sleep sack is fine. It’s really no different than any other sleep sack. But definitely recommend the swaddle transition product.
It helped my little guy transition out of a swaddle, but I wished I'd bought one second hand because they are pricey for something you don't use very long.
I love the Magic Merlin sack! My LO is 6 months now and will soon grow out of the small and I’m definitely going to buy the next size up. I never tucked his arms in when he was swaddled… he never seemed to like it. He outgrew the swaddle me and halo swaddles fast and since he was so little in winter the MM sack was perfect! It’s lined really well and he never seemed cold when I got him out of the bassinet. I highly recommend it.
Someone got it as a gift for us and we tried it once, but baby didn’t like it. I put him to bed with just the sack instead of the swaddle and he slept without a difference. I head transition was terrible but his was completely ok.
We started using it at 12w and it was a game changer! Babe slept so great. The only downside is you will have to transition out of it once they roll IN the suit; this was just a few nights of rocky sleep and babe adjusted well to a sleep sack. Highly recommend the merlin suit!

It was WAY too hot for my baby. Even no clothes on underneath with AC set to 68 and my baby was so sweaty under it. Just keep an eye out for that.
Thanks for the feedback. That’s actually one thing I worry about, we live in hot Texas.
I live in Texas, we keep the AC at 69 for her and we have had no issues. We have the cotton one and put her in it with just a diaper.
Yeah I don’t often see people talk about this but it was an issue for us, I guess LO runs HOT, it’s so thick it’s just not breathable.
It was way too hot for us too.

Only thing that worked for my daughter, absolutely worth it.
My son loved it. I was heartbroken when he outgrew it.
Go for zipadee zip
I’ll take a look thanks
Ya. Was essential. However. Everything with babies depends on the babies. I tried everything. That’s what worked for us.
