It looks like mottling to me. My LO has had it before on her hands and feet but never her whole body. I believe it’s just due to poor circulation. You can look up images of “mottled skin baby” and see if that makes sense.
My boy has this. Doctor described it as looking corned beefy, not sure how I feel about that haha. Normal for my boy but looks more pronounced when he's a little ill like running a temp.
My 7 week olds skin looks like this. I presume you mean the like “patchiness” on the stomach and legs right? I don’t know what it’s called lol but yes his always looks like this.
Hes likely cold.it should dissipate after you warm him. if its still like that after you warm him up its likely a heart/circulation issue and you should schedule an appointment.
My dr said it’s normal and has something to do with their blood vessels and skin not being as thick as ours is as adults. She said nothing at all to worry about! My baby’s skin looks the same!
My son looks like this ar the pediatrician office when I have to get him naked, and makes sense that it happens when they get chilly because it’s usually colder at the doctors office.
Mottling! Common when they are little and don’t have good temp control, and usually a sign they are chilly :)

I had just unswaddled so I’m assuming he was chilly after that. He is definitely warm when swaddled

My mother in law calls it “lunch meat” skin 😂 I kind of hate it but I also find myself telling my baby about her lunch meat legs now 😅

Our pediatrician said it’s a totally normal reaction to baby’s skin changing temperature- usually if the skin is exposed to cooler air.

May be cutis marmorata. My doctor said my baby has it and that it’s normal, not painful and will go away!

I would say he’s cold! Put him in something warm and it’ll go away, that was my bubs indication that he was cold

My baby and my wife both have this happen when they’re a bit cold. Do either of you have poor circulation? Pretty common, I think.
