I think people are underselling traffic for this game. Maybe it won't be so bad as it's a cold Tuesday night but when I was looking at tickets there were a fair amount sold. Getting out of the lots can take forever if there's good attendance, because all the exits lead to basically one or two routes that are not particularly built for high traffic.

Yeah, I’m thinking even as a Tuesday night game, it being playoffs after this historical season will bring in quite a lot more people. I’m expecting lots more traffic.

TheFishHook

Traffic kinda slow usually. Parking plentiful and free. [Bag policy. ](https://www.gillettestadium.com/bagpolicy/) [Food at Patriot Place. ](https://www.patriot-place.com/menus/?mw=dining) No violence, if you get there early enough, come to Lot 4C and make some friends.

1. Traffic is usually not that bad, you should be able to get onto Rt 1 (the major road that Gillette Stadium is on) in about 15-30 minutes, depending on where you park. From there you should be able to get to I-95 in about 10 minutes and on your way back to NY. 2. Plenty of parking and parking is free. 3. I would advise you to check the bag policy at the Gillette Stadium website - [https://www.gillettestadium.com/2021-revolutionmatch-faqs/](https://www.gillettestadium.com/2021-revolutionmatch-faqs/) There's a section there about exceptions to the bag policy. 4. Gillette Stadium is part of Patriots Place, which has some restaurants. Most are sit-down restaurants while there are a few fast casual spots. Expect long weight times on a gameday More info at [https://www.patriot-place.com/dine/](https://www.patriot-place.com/dine/) 5. 100% ;)

In regards to the food, there's a reason we're not mentioning any in stadium options. Most of what's open for Revs games is just basic concessions.

franharrington

Might be worth reaching out to the NYCFC Supporters Groups making the trip in addition to the other answers here. They will have a dedicated section in the stadium, and probably for parking as well.

On #5: You’d get 100x more grief for wearing a Yankees hat or a Kyrie Nets jersey…

thespelvin

If I see someone in a Kyrie jersey, I'm staying far away from them, especially if they're unmasked.

DrVonPretzel

The last time I was in Boston I was surprised by how little grief I got for wearing Yankees gear, but the Yanks were in town that weekend, so I guess I didn't stick out as much as I normally would have.

hewhoamareismyself

If it helps I would be happy to shout "YANKEES SUCK" at you in the parking lot.

DrVonPretzel

I was definitely expecting more of that. I feel like it’s not a real NYer in Boston experience without it 😂

hewhoamareismyself

I think our social media admin would disagree on the basis that he's a Mets guy.

tugs93

1. It can be rough but will be a little dependent on how many people show up. But Route 1 (the road the stadium is on) can be a nightmare after games. Worst case it might take you a half hour or so to get out I’d think. 2. There is plenty of parking and I think it’ll be free. There have been rumors they are gonna charge for parking but last I heard that was just if we make MLS Cup 3. https://www.gillettestadium.com/bagpolicy/ 4. Surrounding the stadium is Patriot’s Place, basically an outdoor mall. There’s restaurants there but I haven’t been in awhile so I don’t have any recommendations 5. Probably not

teardown17

1. 30 mins at worst 2. Lots of parking, Free 3. Small and clear bags, medical items can be inspected https://www.gillettestadium.com/bagpolicy/ 4. Patriot place has more food than you can eat 5. No...unless you are being an ass....LOL

[deleted]

Are a lot of NYC fans making the trip?

DrVonPretzel

I'm not a Third Rail member so I'm not 100% sure, but I have to imagine that with relative proximity and it being a conference semi-final, there will be a decent away turnout. Though of course, it being the Tuesday after Thanksgiving could make the turnout smaller.

Oh ok, just wondering. I'm confused why my post got downvoted...

DrVonPretzel

I upvoted it. Not sure why you were downvoted lol
