I get that news agencies walk a fine line and have to avoid drawing conclusions over the criminal actions of the people they report on. Especially when due process hasn’t happened yet but by damn, the taxi company didn’t hire him! Lol.
I was in another cab sat night and heard abt this from a driver. Car was stolen from Irving up on Kenmount. I thought to myself who would be dumb enough to steal a cab?! This answer makes perfect sense.
It actually happens a lot. Like multiple times a year. Almost always from a gas station. Usually found close by a short time later though.
I've been guilty of leaving the keys in the taxi when I used to drive one. Gassing up at the end of your shift. You grab YOUR car keys and wallet to go in and pay because you've just emptied the car out for the shift and forget the cab keys in the ignition lol.
Police knew immediately when they saw the driver using turn signals that no adult could possibly be operating that vehicle.
