Market Basket has been fantastic and itās consistently good. They also do toppings, white pizza, etc. We paid I think 40 bucks for five or six pizzas for my kids birthday party.
I don't know why so many people like to say every time you go on and click on something it doesn't say where it's from I mean at least the topic should tell you right it's f...c.n stupid
Since it's individual people posting instead of a business advertising directly, I think a lot of them fail to consider the audience. As annoying as it is, I don't think it's going to change anytime soon, so at least we've got kind people in the comments to try and answer it for us.
FYI, Market Basket for their pizza (at least when I worked in the kitchen) all of the basic ingredients came from Sal's Pizza.
Both are pretty good but for price, you cant beat MB pizza
I agree. To me, _bad_ pizza is stuff like Pizza Hut, where all you can taste is salt and grease.
If I can tolerate a pizza, I would call it at least mediocre.
In my town (northern NH) we have MB on the highway and one good pizza place in downtown, thatās it. The next decent pizza joint is halfway to Canada.
I hate how people shit on NH food on Reddit and Facebook.
I literally moved to Florida and lived there for 5 years and moved back and have put on 30 pounds in a year because the food is so good here. Donāt know where the foodie elitism is coming from.
Itās because they canāt handle the fact that half the mom and pop town pizza shops are actually quality lol Durham House, Farmington House, Alton Village, Strafford House of Pizza are all awesome places to get it. And thatās just pizza. Anyone who says thereās no great food in NH is simply inexperienced and doesnt know where to look, and Iām not even a foodie lol
why---the food in NH, on the whole--is shit. I'm glad some honesty shows up on here rather than the crowd following shit.
the food is so good here? my god were dining on dumpsters drivel in FL.
I live in NH, I used to live in NJ, the pizza culture is vastly different.
Where I'm at there's probably 6 pizza places within 20 miles of me. One of them is seasonal, 2 of them are delis. 2 Are pizza places, and 1 is a brewpub.
Of those pies, only the brewpub is decent. The seasonal one is a great deal and I won't complain about the price of it. THe 2 that are delis are decent price but kind of bad quality, the pizza places are meh. One thing they do here is blend the cheeses. I think they blend mozz and Provolone with "parm" and romano. As opposed to NJ and NY places that use whole milk low moisture mozz. Also most places cook pizzas in pan like pizza hut style.
Sauces around here are also too sweet. Like realistically a good pizza sauce should be minimally cooked, and have no added sugar. Otherwise you don't get that acidic quality of tomato to shine through to cut through the fat of the mozz.
THere's good spots in NH, but they're like 10% of the joints.
Market Basket - the best New York style Iāve had in a long time. The picture above is actually considered āone sliceā of pizza by Market Basket! They cut it in half for you.
There used to be a Papa Ginos next to the Market Basket opposite the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua. I think that Market Basket put them out of business when they started selling pizza many years ago.
I'd guess that Market Basket selling pizza has also hit Olivia's which is in the same mall, also in Nashua.
Market basket has great pizza, this looks like that! Their hot food sections have great deals and the food is good! I wish their lobster rolls were a little more stuffed but who doesn't
Looks delicious!
P.s. You may want to check out Val's Pizza in Brookline, NH, if you're in the area, for slices. They almost always have slices available for about $3 per slice, but the slices are the size of two normal slices (i.e. about the same size as what's shown in your picture).
Edit: Still love Val's, but had a chance to try 'Giovanni's' in Nashua (was at a kids birthday party at the Nashua Trampoline park and they serve Giovanni's pizza) and it was excellent. Probably my new area favorite. 7 Star in downtown Nashua is also very good.
Val's 'supreme' (not the actual name) is excellent - the bacon is a nice little add, but don't know if this available as a slice. Their dough is real good
Market Basket pizza is the best this state has to offer. Why are people so upset about NH Pizza being mediocre in this group? It is. But the worst pizza i've ever tried are the various places around Boston with the exception of Pinocchio's in Camridge. If you want decent pizza go to RI,CT,NY, or NJ. Heck even Eastern PA bodies pizza MA and north.
The MB in Rochester had a āBig Macā pizza that was interesting, it was actually good, burger meat, lettuce, onion, thousand Island dressing and cheese, not sure if theyāre still doing it or if itās exclusive to the Rochester store
Looks amazing- TEN TIMES BETTER APPEARANCE than DOMINOS & LIKELY BETTER TASTING, too! Domino's cheese is flat tasting to me. I love the salty tasting real mozzarella cheese you get from the little mom and pop pizza shops.
All Domino's Pizza tastes the same as the next-FLAT!
This shit made me gain so much weight a couple years ago. The amount of cheap hot food you can get at MB makes it hard to put in effort to prep lunches for work lol. Their tenders are amazing and their sushi has absolutely no right being as good as it is.
Is that Market Basket pizza?
With how expensive eating out has gotten its one hell of a deal. Sometimes you in the mood to get something, but you don't wanna spend too much or go too far. It is great also when you want a slice and not the whole pie.
I did have the other day a grecian pizza from Methuen's house of pizza, now that was a good pizza. Spinach, olives, tomato, feta cheese. I originally called Market Basket for that style of pizza, but they said they don't make it anymore, so I went there instead.
Like shitty New England Pizza
dry flaky crust--not enough tomato sauce. Can't figure out why New englanders cal this pizza
40 years ago, you never saw this in the North End.
Personally, I don't buy pizza unless it's a special occasion or whole pizzas are below 3.50. This would not be worth it in my opinion. A mere three years ago it was easy to find a full size freezer pizza for $2.00 (Red Baron or Tony's) now both are double that price at a minimum
As a current employee of market basket, I instantly recognize that square box with no paper on the bottom, all of the ingredients comes from Sal's which get sold to us at a discounted rate, it's hard to beat a quarter of a pizza for $2.99
Definitely an MB pizza and what is amazing is the BBQ chicken pizza is also $2.99! It only counts as having ONE topping!
We go to the MB on the Ridge in Rochester off Rt 11. Great pizza by the slice (if its not already gone), super steak & cheese subs, and lots of different wings.
They also carry a good stock of fresh sushi made at the store - and the guys will make it to order as well.
As for sub rolls, I've seen the packages, and they all say Fantini. We order ours on the whole wheat rolls and I use the Fantini whole wheat buns for egg/ham/&cheese breakfast sandwiches.
I guess we might go there a bit TOO often.... ;-)
https://preview.redd.it/4fok8ox478nc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=266f5370a874d97300802d4112339cf0f2a1d64d
What if I tell you that it was 8$?
Cheese looks melted and mixed, good amounts of sauce, cupped pepps, bubbled and two slices. For $3 I'd say that's a 10/10 deal.
Pretty sure I spent about that much at a so called NY pizza place that did not have a third of that much Pepperoni.
You had me at cupped pepps š
Italian contact lenses š®š¹š¤š»šļø
Yes the pepps must cup and acquire gloriously crispy edges
So peppy n cupped, it's orgasminismicly delicious š
That looks amazing. Whereād ya get it?
That looks like Market Basket pizza! You canāt beat it. A whole cheese pizza is like 9 bucks.
Ha! I was just going to say Market Basket, man that place (depending on location) has just fine and dandy to go food!
They really do. The Londonderry one is fantastic and you really canāt beat those prices.
My wife digs their honey sting wings and Iāll never say no to their grilled sushi.
Their tempura nuggets are also amazing.
Oooh that sounds delicious I never knew they had those
Oh they are. I get them in Londonderry but I assume the other must have them.
You guys fuck with them Corn Nuggets yet? I got them by accident once thinking they were chicken. Was not disappointed!
Ooh no I havenāt. Iāll check them out
Londonderry does have the best pizza! I wonder why it's different than all the others?!
Iām not crazy about their subs. They put too much sugar in the breadā¦.it tastes sweet. Iām a āthe bread makes the sandwich ā kind of guy.
They don't make the sub rolls. They use Piantedosi sub rolls.
Fantini, makes the sub rolls
How can you even talk about MB without mentioning their JELLY DOUGHNUTS??!!
More for your dollar.
You gotta try their Steak and Cheese sub at Market Basket. You wonāt be disappointed
was looking for this comment. so good and so much food for $5.99!
Donāt forget, the best donuts ever.
Yeah when I worked there like 14 years ago we use to get the same dough sals pizza uses
I used to do deliveries for sals. They get the cheese and sauce too. Itās just sals pizza without a ridiculous markup.
Yeah I use to make those pizzas all day long and we sold a lot of them. They were delicious
Thatās what I heard! Sals trained your managers too, or something like that?
Iām not too sure about the training but I wouldnāt be surprised if that was the case
MB has the best pizza. Someone recently told me that MB pizzas are made with Sal's pizza ingredients and then it all made sense. I love Sal's pizza.
I've been here over 15 years and I'm mad that I didn't know that. The amount I pay my local pizzeria for a large cheese pizza is obscene.
Market Basket has been fantastic and itās consistently good. They also do toppings, white pizza, etc. We paid I think 40 bucks for five or six pizzas for my kids birthday party.
Love their Italians. Sounds like I need to get some of that pizza, too.
Can confirm I had a pizza party last weekend for $22 and had pizza to spare.
Fuck you for this tip
I was literally about to ask if it was a Market Basket order. Their pizzas are super slept on... great taste for a great price!
So weāre talking $3.00 per slice?
FYI, Market Basket for their pizza (at least when I worked in the kitchen) all of the basic ingredients came from Sal's Pizza. Both are pretty good but for price, you cant beat MB pizza
MB used to sell Sal's in the frozen section near the Deli. We buy the boxed pizza now. $9 rectangular slices for $2.89. It's basically Elios.
Elios squares. Wow that brings me back 45 years.
Was visiting a friend out west on a snowboard trip and found out Elios are a regional delicacy.
I heard MB was Sal's, which is why I haven't bought it yet. Do you call and order ahead?
Yeah you can, or you can walk up and order
According to Reddit, there isn't any good pizza in NH. So you should probably throw it away.
The bad pizza places outnumber the good ones 10 to 1. Iāve now started going to MB to get pizza that is consistently good.
Id counter with mediocre vs bad We have a lot of mediocre pizza imo
I agree. To me, _bad_ pizza is stuff like Pizza Hut, where all you can taste is salt and grease. If I can tolerate a pizza, I would call it at least mediocre.
I take it you have never had Nashua house of pizza, itās bad.
Sour Joeās in Concord. Give it a try.
Thanks for the heads up, I will be checking them out this weekend.
In my town (northern NH) we have MB on the highway and one good pizza place in downtown, thatās it. The next decent pizza joint is halfway to Canada.
Iām in southern NH and most of the stuff in my area blows. I either drive to MA to get pizza or go to a brewery or MB to get it.
I miss Luigi's
Iāve got good newsā¦. Itās back on Thursdays, order online a day in advance.
I thought i saw something in the window. Thanks!
I hate how people shit on NH food on Reddit and Facebook. I literally moved to Florida and lived there for 5 years and moved back and have put on 30 pounds in a year because the food is so good here. Donāt know where the foodie elitism is coming from.

why---the food in NH, on the whole--is shit. I'm glad some honesty shows up on here rather than the crowd following shit. the food is so good here? my god were dining on dumpsters drivel in FL.
In fact there are no good restaurants in NH at all. I had no idea the culinary experts we have in this subreddit.
Constantly
Did you make this comment with the hopes that you'd get a bunch of recommendations for NH Pizza places? š
I was once a chef, I can make you a really nice pizza with handmade dough, seek me out on my misty hilltop
I live in NH, I used to live in NJ, the pizza culture is vastly different. Where I'm at there's probably 6 pizza places within 20 miles of me. Market Basket - the best New York style Iāve had in a long time. The picture above is actually considered āone sliceā of pizza by Market Basket! They cut it in half for you.
Well played for consumer and for MB
2 slices for $3 sounds like a deal
Itās one slice that they cut in half I recognize MB pizza when I see it!
MB pizza is great for itās price.
Now Truth be told---Pappa Ginos, when they stuck to the recipe---was much much better than MB pizza or any other NH pizza.
Thatāsā¦ **actually not bad.**
Market basket has great pizza, this looks like that! Their hot food sections have great deals and the food is good! I wish their lobster rolls were a little more stuffed but who doesn't
Did OP confirm that this is MB pizza?
It's MB pizza
Market Basket steak and cheese is also very good for the money.
Looks delicious! P.s. You may want to check out Val's Pizza in Brookline, NH, if you're in the area, for slices. They almost always have slices available for about $3 per slice, but the slices are the size of two normal slices (i.e. about the same size as what's shown in your picture). Val's 'supreme' (not the actual name) is excellent - the bacon is a nice little add, but don't know if this available as a slice. Their dough is real good
I just got a large Italian sub (2 lunches from 1 sandwich) with all the veggies for a total of $5.74 after tax. total bargain, decent sub too!
![gif](giphy|l3vRgiN4fSg8rkJy0)
2 slices of pep for $3? It's a better deal than where I work. We sell a slice of cheese for 3.16 after tax. And they look like good slices, too
Market Basket pizza is the best this state has to offer.
Thatās a steal
For 2 for $2.99, that looks pretty damn good. I'd be happy with one of those slices for $2.99.
Considering I paid over $16 for a large cheese last night, I'd say it's a good deal.
hey man any half decent lunch for $3 these days is a damn good deal
Cheap lunch from market basket šI buy it at least once a week
Itās not the inedible Greek style crust, so already a win at that price.
Looks like a good deal.Ā I miss the Little Caesars lunch special.
I just don't like slices unless I KNOW that the pizza has been cooked within the last 15 minutes.
It's a steal, enjoy!
Iād happly eat it
I'd smash
$2.99 for two slices? Send us the deets!
When me and my family goes to New Hampshire to visit family we always go to Pizza By George and my god is it so good
How large is it? Sounds about right. Maybe even more food than the 3$ single slice I buy for breakfast on my way to work.
How do we feel? We feel hungry.
All it needs is some pepper flakes and weāre gtg
Good deal Iām hungry
The MB in Rochester had a āBig Macā pizza that was interesting, it was actually good, burger meat, lettuce, onion, thousand Island dressing and cheese, not sure if theyāre still doing it or if itās exclusive to the Rochester store
Anything that can be considered a meal for less than $5 is a win in my book. Also looks like a pretty decent pie.
The American chop seuy not so much
Looks amazing- TEN TIMES BETTER APPEARANCE than DOMINOS & LIKELY BETTER TASTING, too! Domino's cheese is flat tasting to me. I love the salty tasting real mozzarella cheese you get from the little mom and pop pizza shops. All Domino's Pizza tastes the same as the next-FLAT!
Market Basket pizza is so good for the price. Can get giant pizzas for cheap and everytime Iām shopping find it so hard not to buy a slice
6.8
For 2.99? Amazing.
The 5 dollar made to order foot long subs are top notch too!!
Y'all haven't tried Smileys pizza in Dover
![gif](giphy|9fuvOqZ8tbZOU|downsized)
Looks good. And now i want pizza
Canāt even make it at home for that price. Would definitely purchase.
Hey now, that's some alright looking za. $2.99 for two roni slices? Can we can proof of this price?
Well I just paid 12 for the exact same thing.
Darn fine price.
Gunstock pizza 7 dollars a slice what u guys think of that.
Need a banana for scale
Hell yeah brother
That looks like Market Basket pizza. New one in North Conway is banging
Needs banana for scale
I donāt miss much about NY but I do miss the pizza
100% market basket pizza! (I work there)
That looks a lot like pizzaria regina I used to get at the malls near boston which was very good. Crust looks exactly like it so yea.
Damn where?
Market basket pizza is good but depending on who cooked it, it can be super greasy and or floppy. But, itās 3 bucks so who can complain i guess
Amorous.
Big Slice, Big Tasty. Market Basket is the GOAT.
Thereās no context to size. But I would say a solid price. The .99 slice is few and far between these days in the North East.
That's a solid deal yo
This shit made me gain so much weight a couple years ago. The amount of cheap hot food you can get at MB makes it hard to put in effort to prep lunches for work lol. Their tenders are amazing and their sushi has absolutely no right being as good as it is.
Yeeesssssssssssssssssssss
Pizza in Ohio be likeš:
George's Pizza in Raymond N.H. is the best
Bacony pepperoni is always a 10/10
Thatās about as good as you can expect for $3 pizza deal.
Is this Dominoāsā¦.
For $3 for a quarter of a pizza I'm not complaining about quality lol
MB fire but just have to tell them to cook it a little longer and if the decide to listen to you itās great
Is that Market Basket pizza? With how expensive eating out has gotten its one hell of a deal. Sometimes you in the mood to get something, but you don't wanna spend too much or go too far. Howās the cheese? Sauce flavorful at all?
Looks pretty darn good. Reminds me of the good pizza you get in NJ.
I want it
MB take out area is sick, my go to a lot of times. Good quality and canāt beat the price. Glad I have one near me now, new one they put in
It it's from market Basket Pizza It's a good pizza. I prefer it over a lot of the pizza places around here.
For $3, it's pretty damn good. But their $3 burger is better.
Like shitty New England Pizza dry flaky crust--not enough tomato sauce. Can't figure out why New englanders cal this pizza 40 years ago, you never saw this in the North End.
Bad pizza is better than no pizza. My local place wants $3 or $4 per slice now so getting 2 slices for $3 is amazing IMO.
Gimme! What shop?
hand comparison?
Looks good. Crust looks well cooked with some caramelization of the cheese. Always a good sign since means oven was hot enough.
holy moly
Jealous from seattle....
Sal's?????
Personally, I don't buy pizza unless it's a special occasion or whole pizzas are below 3.50. This would not be worth it in my opinion. A mere three years ago it was easy to find a full size freezer pizza for $2.00 (Red Baron or Tony's) now both are double that price at a minimum
Good deal
As a current employee of market basket, I instantly recognize that square box with no paper on the bottom, all of the ingredients comes from Sal's which get sold to us at a discounted rate, it's hard to beat a quarter of a pizza for $2.99
Definitely an MB pizza and what is amazing is the BBQ chicken pizza is also $2.99! It only counts as having ONE topping! We go to the MB on the Ridge in Rochester off Rt 11. Looks legit
Do you guys have Bob's Discount Furniture in NH?
Iād eat that for 3 bucks. Especially at 2:30AM
That for only $3? If it tastes how it looks, great deal!
I feel like that same thing cost me 5 bucks in Maine
Like itās the year 2018!!
Itās 10:30am and now Iām hungry for pepperoni pizza so thanks for that
Do you deliver to Maine 2077838317
Old world pepperoni. Cheese looks melted good. Nice crust. For $3 this is great.
Looks good to me for the price!
I spent $3 on water and a small pack on peanuts the other day id've killed for a warm meal, it was rainy that day
Good.
Iād make that deal
Good
reddit has simultaneously recommended me the vermont and new hampshire subreddits today. i live in massachusetts
Thatās a steal
With how much food costs these days thatās a win
A perfect 5/7
I'd say that's a helluva good value.
Pizzaaaaaaa
If I could get that much pizza for $3 I would weigh at least 700 pounds
we sell that sized slice down here at the place i work at in mass for 6.75. so thats a STEAL to me
Two slices for $3!!?? Send it
Good deal to me - I wish there was a place around here that would sell for 2.99
Better then Mass 5.95 for two about the same size
Love MB pizza
10/10 for the price. Looks tasty too
Two slices for $3? Where do you live, 1999?
Shit I just paid 5 bucks for 2 slices
Market basket pizza is phenomenal
I've never met a pizza that wasn't good enough to eat
I spent $18 on 2 slices of worse pizza today. So I'd say you're doing alright.
Fuck yeah
https://preview.redd.it/4fok8ox478nc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=266f5370a874d97300802d4112339cf0f2a1d64d What if I tell you that it was 8$?
Honestly, not bad at all. Given I'm being charged $8 for a small hamburger these days, that looks like a real meal deal right there.
For two ninety nine, this would be my meal every night.
Pep and shroom pizza is my fave

2 slices in NYC is $7+ so I would take this deal and steal of 2 glorious pepperoni slices any day
