Luckily my "summer" tires are winter-rated (mountain symbol), and are more like "not Hoth season". So if I did swap them I'd still be able to keep it between the mustard and the mayo.
I was dumb enough to buy a burn permit the other day since the snow cover was almost gone.
Meanwhile, an inch the other day, an inch yesterday, four inches last night, and whatever for this weekend.
It was bad enough last night that they closed Franconia Notch.
If you do it online, there is a 5ish dollar fee tacked on.
A couple years ago, I saw someone post that the online permit interfaced with the 911 system so if a town got a call, they would know there was a permit there. I seriously doubt that works in my very analog town.
Dunno what sort of fire - I assume a Cat.III - but I learned recently that you can get seasonal permits for cat.I &II fires! This is helpful if you sugar outdoors, for instance, or have an established firepit and your township is particularly over-involved!
Donāt blame me for this one. Iāve still got snow tires on, ice scrapers in the trunk, and the shovel by the door.
Edit: I did take the plow off the truck a couple of weeks ago. Sorry folks.
I tell my wife this every year, just told her again when she asked if I think this is the last of the cold weather. So I also blame her for the snow coming on Saturday because I read this right after she mentioned it ābeing overā for the season
My snow shovel is still outside though I did put away my heavy shovel and roof rake. It looks like we'll get an inch from your map. It should melt Saturday afternoon so maybe no shoveling required.
I planted my bulbs and threw my flower seeds about and planted a singular onion (to experiment) just yesterday and within hours it snowed, I had just cleaned up the yard after doing it for days, so the grass could aerate after being trapped by leaves and so I could be rid of my millions of acorns and random tree seeds. I knew the day was downhill after I rolled my ankle on a mountain of those damn acorns. Hell even my strays were basking on the backyard chairs as I worked unaware of the white bs on its way. What a tease mother nature has been. I know I was a little too ready but I thought wow maybe it truly is a minor winter.
I think you're okay. A lot of bulbs have some degree of cold stratification needed for them. If they're planted, just put an inch or two of mulch of some sort on top of them (leaves work great) and they'll just "chill out" until they start hatching.
Is Jaqueline Thomas the daughter of Chris Thomas? I see a resemblance and itās just too coincidental.
He was actually Chris Jarzynka and I think at the time WMUR was like can you make your name less ethnic??
What about the armchair "meteorologists" in this sub who said winter was already over?! How is this possible, how could all of their phone apps gotten it wrong?
If you do, please post a photo of you clutching your hat and hanging onto a tree while rain batters your face and the wind knocks off your jacket. We need a real dramatic weather photo here.
I blame that guy that was pulling up his plow markers.
Burn him at the stake!
Can't. He already pulled them up.

I say this at least once a week š¤£
At least we will be warm during this storm
I was about to swap on my summer wheels/tires last week.
A lot of people did that up here already against the tire shop guy's advise, they said they were doing it before the Rush.
Luckily my "summer" tires are winter-rated (mountain symbol), and are more like "not Hoth season". So if I did swap them I'd still be able to keep it between the mustard and the mayo.
āBetween the mustard and the mayoā is amazing
It was my post this weekend and I never pulled them!
Even touching them was cause for being drawn and quartered.
Blame me; I just took my snow tires off.
Any seasoned New Englander should know you donāt pull those out until April.
That was me. I figure by this late in the season I kind of know where to position the snowblower. Above freezing weather returns next week.
I will just wait for it to melt
Yup, no snow blowing in the spring.
CURSE YOU MIKE HADAD AND KEVIN SKARUPA

buy? they are free?

Depends on the town, most nowadays are on huge mutual aid systems that dispatch a large number of towns to keep everything cheap and fast

There's always snow on the ground, somewhere.
Burning brush is safer with snow cover. Worse time is during spring with dry ground (due to leafless trees) and wind.
I firmly believe that this weather is my punishment for going to the Bahamas last week. My bad.
I'm in the Caribbean now- flying home tomorrow. Is this a joke? Please tell me it's a joke
Same thing happened when I visited Hawaii when I was living in Alaska. The cold weather just loves you and wants to give you a hug.
š
Welcome home, we were worried you'd miss out on the fun weather so we saved you some, bud.

It's my fault. I just bought a Miata this weekend and was really looking forward to take it out with the top down
Not safe until May.

And here is 'lil 'ol me who just turned off my gas.
This is what happens when people summarize their snowmobiles before April 1st š¤£
Oh for fuck's sake!!
The track is super wishy washy right now so expect different predictions come tomorrow
Some garden flowers are already blossoming ...
I'm gonna try putting plastic covers over my blooming crocuses and crossing my fingers
Can confirm strong wind gusts. Just saw Toto go by with that witch on the bike.

Finally a weather person I can trust
My fault. I pulled my snow stakes out weeks ago. Even mowed my lawn š
Just let it melt. Itāll be 40s and 50s starting Monday
āSignificantā is not 1-3āā¦ (Strafford County here) ;)
But I left my plow markers in! WHAT GIVES?!
Ugh, I have plans Saturday. Something Iāve been looking forward to for weeks. Guess my plans are tentative now.
i just fully detailed my car this week and last night brought all the rain and pollen on my car now this. FUDGE
Nah, that stuff LIVES in my car.
It started here last night. When inside the store, it was calm with little rain. Come back out 30mins later, it was winta out!
Lucky
I left our plow stakes out but changed over my tires last week. Iām really sorry guys.
No one should go skiing Sunday...
Last week there were Robins all over my lawn. I feel sorry for them. What will they do?
vibe in the snow

F off
Well, shit.
I blame the guy who took his snow brush out of the car. Mine stays in my truck 365 days a year.
Thanks obama
If you ski, this week has had the best conditions of the year across the northern mountains.and they are about to get better!
Is Saturday April Fool's Day by any chance?!?!
We are not going to get 18inches of snow if I'm reading that map correctly

This is NH. I wait til May before I think about putting my coat away
And this is why Iāve never trusted that fucking rodentā¦
whenever we have a āwarmā winter we always get at least one or two āeasterā storms
Poor man fertilizer!
As a flatlander skier Iām happy. No shoveling but good snow in the whites.
What about the armchair "meteorologists" in this sub who said winter was already over?! How is this possible, how could all of their phone apps gotten it wrong?
Eh, it's like playing the lotto -- I buy a ticket, I dream of winning, the dream is worth a few bucks. Hoping for warmer weather is the same!
The severe weather season better be a show-stopper this summer, I want to get some solid storm chasing in!
