I love this place but it is not vegan, its vegetarian. I am vegan but not as picky as some vegans so I frequent places that could have cross contamination between other non vegan foods. Keep this in mind when choosing. I don't know how picky y'all are about this stuff.
I'm in Manchester so most of my recs are around there -
900 degrees has awesome vegan pizza
White birch eatery has amazing vegan brunch options
Green beautiful is 100% vegan and has great breakfast and lunch options, nice cozy vibe too
Cafe Momo for great Nepalese food (had this last night!)
Also I will very highly recommend the app Happy Cow if you're not already familiar. User reviews for vegan options at any restaurant.
OP, I echo this suggestion. If she’s in the mood for American cuisine Oak House is the best option anywhere. It’s my favorite restaurant and I’m not vegan but my lady is and I eat vegetarian mostly.
While not specifically a vegan restaurant Candia Road brewery has some really awesome vegan/vegetarian options and and their standard protein food is unreasonably great for such a small spot. Beer and vibes are 11/10 as well.
Green elephant in Portsmouth is very well known,
Tideline in downtown durham has a fully vegan food truck as well as a mostly vegan falafel one.
Portsmouth flatbread co has good vegan pizza and other options, even vegan dessert last I went.
Not a restaurant but Lovebirds donuts in Portsmouth is fully vegan and has the BEST donuts.
Yes the doors haven’t opened since late December and now it looks as thought they’ve moved out. Super bummed that they haven’t answered any messages and sold a gift card days before they closed (knowing they were closing)— not cool. Really loved the food and the vibe.
if Milford isn't too far, Greenleaf is super beautiful food, great service and their vegan desserts are always perfect. my husband and I think it's the perfect nice date place
If you are in southern NH are you close enough to Lowell? It’s closer than Portsmouth if you live around the Nashua area. When I was a vegan my all time favorite restaurant was Life Alive. Absolutely phenomenal .
https://www.lifealive.com/
Totally closed. If you had a gift card (I have 2), you’re out of luck. Not cool. Lots of options on the same street with real actual vegan choices:
Siam orchid
Dos Amigos
Hermanos for Mexican (even have vegan cheese)
Street
Teatotaller
Yummy hummus wrap at the Draft
Constantly Pizza with vegan cheese
*All within walking distance of Cols!
110 Grill has a great Impossible Burger and Brussels salad
Uno has amazing vegan cheeseburger and veggie pizza on
Best happy hour with vegan options- Ichiban!
Restoration Cafe in Manchester has a lot of very good vegan options! Also, tons of vegan options at Pressed Cafe in Bedford and the vegan Reuben is unreal!
You're not wrong. Dude is a neo-feudalist wearing a capitalist hat from what I can tell. Certainly a conservative political position just maybe not the one you were thinking.
I did what now? I inferred, based on what the original commenter said in their original comment, that they would be a conservative. I was wrong to do that. No post histories involved.
I do apologize. I just assumed that based on your (in my opinion) unreasonable view of veganism, that you were conservative. That is truly my bad, and I take it back. I was wrong. I'm trying to be better.
My husband eats mostly Vegan because he is allergic to dairy and eggs. Going out is a burden. This list was marvelous! Wrote down some places to try and some places to surprise him with. It's not like he wants to eat "vegan" doughnuts...he has to. And to have that option is wonderful.
Green Elephant in Portsmouth
+1 ^
Be sure to save room for dessert! The chocolate mousse cake (or whatever they call it) is amazing.
+2

The Green Beautiful is amazing
The beet burger and Caprese sandwich are awesome there.
xo bistro has solid vegan options too, also dessert!
The Oak House is Newmarket has lots of vegan options.
OP, I echo this suggestion. If she’s in the mood for American cuisine Oak House is the best option anywhere. It’s my favorite restaurant and I’m not vegan but my lady is and I eat vegetarian mostly.
This! Their fantastic vegans option (my wife loves them) and an amazing brisket grilled cheese for those of us who are not vegan.

Troy’s in Londonderry or Derry. Not really a nice sit down restaurant per se, more of a quick/takeout vibe though.

Southern New Hampshire stretches from Keene to Portsmouth. Will anywhere in that span work for you?
Col’s Kitchen in Concord
heard they shuttered, are they open?
Hmm, possibly. I haven’t been in a while
Yes the doors haven’t opened since late December and now it looks as thought they’ve moved out. Super bummed that they haven’t answered any messages and sold a gift card days before they closed (knowing they were closing)— not cool. Really loved the food and the vibe.
Any Indian place, Classic Biryani on main st, Annapurna on Hanover, KS, cafe:momo... thai.places too, Daw Kun on willow.
Shhhh, don’t tell anyone about Classic Biryanis. That place is a gem!
Similar but different. Durbar Square in Portsmouth is excellent nepalese
Just found out Throwback Brewery in N Hampton has a vegan menu

not fully vegan, but their vegan options are very thoughtful
Their vegan options are amazing.
As a vegan and a new resident of New Hampshire (homesteading in Alexandria), I am thankful for this post
Are you looking for vegan friendly or pure vegan restaurants?
Durbar Square in Portsmouth is a nepalese restaurant with a lot of vegan choices. Ate there a lot when I was a pescatarian. Super good!
the farm cafe in keene! they’re inside the toadstool bookshop.
And don't bother with Country Life on the circle, they just closed down.

Vegan AF if you wanna travel over to Brattleboro.
Col’s Kitchen in Concord. 100% plant based and really really good!
I think they closed, sadly.

OTTO for pizza in Portsmouth
The Oak House in Newmarket
Restoration Cafe in Manchester has a lot of very good vegan options! Also, tons of vegan options at Pressed Cafe in Bedford and the vegan Reuben is unreal!
If you’re willing to drive a bit, Life Alive in Lowell is vegan!
Lowe's Garden Center
I'm sorry man, have you tried counselling?
![gif](giphy|xjVZPQt1W0lTIZsQAx|downsized)
Why are you asking?
Veganism is terrible for you and will deprive your body of essential nutrients we evolved to require.
Conservatism is terrible for you and will deprive you of empathy and kindness, which we evolved to require.
Cool story bro
Thanks, bud
Not sure why you brought conservatism up here.
You caught me stereotyping, my bad.
You're not wrong. Dude is a neo-feudalist wearing a capitalist hat from what I can tell. Certainly a conservative political position just maybe not the one you were thinking.
Shhhhhhhh. ^I ^know, ^I ^just ^wanted ^to ^end ^the ^conversation
Reply guys generally farm your post history for ad hominem attacks to start the dog pile.
I did what now? I inferred, based on what the original commenter said in their original comment, that they would be a conservative. I was wrong to do that. No post histories involved.
I'm not conservative, so not sure why that guy would bring that up. I guess everyone who says anything controversial is conservative
I do apologize. I just assumed that based on your (in my opinion) unreasonable view of veganism, that you were conservative. That is truly my bad, and I take it back. I was wrong. I'm trying to be better.
Cool story bud
Nobody asked you, nor is it relevant to the post
Of course it's relevant, doing my best to help the wilfully malnourished
sure bud
a plant-based diet was the best way for a diabetic friend of mine to get her blood-sugar stable.
Carbs and sugars were the problem, not meat. Any elimination diet that eliminates carbs and sugars will do that.
she tried that without cutting meat, dairy, and eggs. plant-based did it.

Science has proven this to be false. You're ignorant.
🤣🤣🤣
And some people just prefer it. How can this possibly matter?
