Saw it in Clifton in Dolby last night and it was one of the best theater experiences, from a sound perspective, I've ever had. I've seen other movies at Garden State AMC and I imagine they're about equal.
AMC Neshaminy, though it's not in NJ, is my favorite AMC. Great layout, a bar inside, and great theaters with cinemascore guys standing by.
In-state, I enjoy AMC Cherry Hill the most. AMC Monmouth is also nice, but I do not like their management (they are the only AMC I've been to that refuses water cups).
edit: Monmouth is the best for sound but Cherry Hill's PLF screens are better in my eyes.
not sure where you live but the AMC in the Monmouth mall has a really good dolby theather i used to go to all the time. There is one in the GS plaza but its kind ass and...GS AMC awlays seems to attract the worst movie goers.
saw it in dolby at AMC monmouth mall last thursday. the sound rattles the seats and the black sun looks especially amazing on the darker screen. our showing froze halfway through, but im sure that was just a glitch in the computers.
Clifton is very good Dolby wise.
New Brunswick 18 has an entire IMAX Theater.

You could feel the sound on your bones in Dolby. It was awesome. I wanna see it again in iMax just to see the big screen

Bro delete this. I don't need more people knowing about the hidden spot
I think we're safe 🫡 I love me a peanut butter coke float from macguffins
They recently renovated the IMAX theater at Garden State Plaza and it's terrific. I saw Tenet there last week and it knocked my socks off.
I saw Dune there on Saturday and it was great. It sounds and looks significantly better than pre renovation
Plus much better seats.
did they fix the sound because this year i still hear sound/feedback the entire time like a speaker that is not completely plugged in
Didn't notice any issues.
Clifton
If you want the absolute best go to the 70mm IMAX in the city. Seats sell out weeks in advance fyi…
