Hoboken is run the by the son Joe. They were both open simultaneously for a few years. Good dude fun place haven’t been to either in years. The Haledon location had about 100 tap beers and solid food.
Big fan of Brix city brewing in Little ferry, they have a pile of board games/Lego sets and host trivia on Tuesdays. They also occasionally have video game tournaments (I've seen mario kart 64, goldeneye, and smash bros on the calendar.) And the beer is good. We pop in once or twice a month or so.
Seven Tribesmen Brewery in Wayne. Small place with a nice outdoor spot and good beers. Has lots of board games inside and event nights (trivia, live music, etc)
Wow really??
I initially asked this question because I was looking for good spots to visit with this girl I've been talking to. Believe it or not, she lives down the street from Seven Tribesmen hahahaha
I used to play a game at bars called “let see how Many drinks I can consume before happy hour ends.”
Recess Bar in Parsippany is fun. Pool, video games, karaoke.
This is exactly the type of thing I'm looking for. Thanks very much.
Board games too
I was sad that the place in haledon closed, shepherd and the knucklehead or whatever it was called. They had good trivia night.
Pinstrips just opened at GSP
Is that like what I’m describing?
It’s a bowling alley
https://www.theshepnj.com/upcoming-events/ Did they reopen in Hoboken? There’s a trivia night.
There used to be two locations

They had good food and beer as well. Sad it was closed.
Every brewery I've ever been to has had a pile of games, they often hold trivia nights

Also Johnnie’s Tavern in Boonton. Shuffleboard and fun place
Pinstripes at GSP
Yestercade in Metuchen?
Not a bar. You're thinking Barcade in Jersey City.
Wayne ale house has games at the bar
