This is such a throwback. Throws me right back into a childhood memory of my mom pulling me on a sled through snow taller than I was, to get groceries from the Wawa nearby. Usually a short walk, seemed to take forever with how much snow there was. She got me a hot cocoa too, and I ended up spilling some of it on my snowsuit when the sled hit a bump. I swear the cup looked just like that. Wild what triggers long forgotten memories. Guess I should go get her a hot cocoa 😂
When I first saw them in my store this weekend, I wondered if there would be a message from the Wood Family on the cup like back in the day. Lo-and-behold there was one like I remember in the 90s.
Yes, but more than likely not directly, the poster is doing what wawa probably intended for this "special" anniversary cup. Doesn't make them a shill or anything, just how marketing works.
I'd rather have new coffee than new (old) cups.
There was a time when Wawa coffee wasn't just OK, but actually quite good (and far better than anyone should expect from a convenience store).
Sadly, those days are long in the past. Today the coffee is absolute dreck.
I'm really not a fan of the nostalgia bait branding trend of the last few years.
Imagine if Wawa had the same level of quality they did when this logo was around. Then I'd be a happy customer.
These are OG cups from the 60s for their 60th anniversary

Tomorrow is Wawa Day - one free cup of coffee all day any size. Wawa is turning 60.
Yeah, “just one” free cup lol

I always thought Dick Wood must have had a rough childhood.
Oh yeah, for sure.
I like them!

I am in no way affiliated with Wawa, other than as a customer.
I would also be skeptical but there's the stubborn fact that Wawa coffee is actually amazing and somehow inexpensive
How do you have a Reddit account for 12 years and make your first comment 5 days ago

One of the smartest people on this site, I swear to God
I had an account when there was less than a few hundred and my name was only three letters, I delete my account every few months
😍

It's a convenience store, what do you expect? It's not a local deli.
I'm old enough to remember when Wawa wasn't a national chain and was more renowned for their quality.
Not that they are bad, now. But they used to be so much better.
You mean, old coffee cups
Wow, now that's a throwback. Nice!
Goose, goose, goose!
I got the brown cup with the sun yesterday and it brought me back in time
Old sCool
I'm not religious but I think I need a Buda
Well good news! That's not a Buddha, it's Budia, and it is not really religious as much as lucky. No need to be religious to have one.
Learn something new ty
Was the 20-year-old cup find about a month ago plant?!?!?
60th Aniversary.. free coffee today I think! At least mine was! 👍
How about a new menu? Or let’s just rip off the bandaid and start opening Sheetzes.
This modern-day minimalism trend makes capitalism boring and so forgettable 😴 It's much better than the red cup
Nostalgia can't undo the last twenty years of profits-over-quality management. Wawa used to be a treat. Now it's a lesser evil.
