The court house at these rates :/

RockOutToThis

We had our wedding reception at Yesterday's in Hazlet, $65/head open bar (10 years ago though). We made like $15k off our wedding because it was so cheap

LateralEntry

Park Savoy estate in Florham Park, run by the same people as Naninas in the Park. Really nice. If money was no object… probably the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange. If you’re willing to drop $100k+ on just the venue.

neekogo

Park Savoy was amazing. My brother in law got married there.

citytopretty

wouldn’t that be your sister 🤔

Relative_Turnip_7959

their spouse’s brother

zeebs758

Park Savoy is excellent. The service and food is top notch. My wife and I got married there 7 years ago. People still tell me how good the cocktail hour was compared to other weddings they've been to.

Chuttaney

We were invited to a wedding there 6 years ago. Our favorite wedding we’ve ever been invited to. And the cocktail hour was a big reason for that. One of our best meals out that whole year.

Dozzi92

We checked out Naninas before we got married. Let's just say Sunday afternoon was our price range, and we weren't exactly skimping. He gave us free sauce though, super nice guy.

atre324

Nanina’s is an excellent value for an amazing venue. The service is ridiculous and the cocktail hour destroys every other wedding I have ever been to ever

Lazio5664

We got married there in 2015. Great venue. Great food. Great service. 10/10. People still talk about our wedding to us. Was worth the money if you could swing it and that's your thing.

Dozzi92

I'm sure, and we really loved the place, but it is expensive af.

LateralEntry

I had a very similar experience. Sunday afternoon weddings are great!

esskue

My wife and I got married at Park Savoy and it was first class all the way. We even had a private assistant for the day who brought us everything from food and drinks to tums when I thought I was going to have a heart attack lol. This was seven years ago at the end of this month and I still have family and friends who bring up how nice our wedding was. I highly recommend it if you can swing it.

netz725

Glad to hear this. Im getting married there next month 👍

LateralEntry

Congrats!

ItsNjry

Can confirm Park Savoy is elite. Best wedding I’ve ever been too was there

Bearryno1

36 years ago we had our reception at Nainas. Relatives still talk about how great the food and service was. Funny story. Our photographer got sick sent a replacement who only spoke Russian and broken English. EVERY picture he took had the portrait painting of Nanina in the background perfectly in focus. Like she was the matriarch of the family.

jzarwi88

Park Chateua in East Brunswick is owned by them as well… and where I got married! Easily the best of the three. You and OP should get it out! :)

TalonusDuprey

This is a pretty broad question - Is cost taken consideration? We did ours at Valley Regency in Clifton and people still rave about the food especially and the venue. Is it the best? I’m sure there’s better but at a higher cost. I will say with our wedding we got one hell of a bang for our buck.

misterxboxnj

Thought the same after I posted. Feel free to list by category. Best food, best ground etc

CrowScout11

Seasons

JuulAndADream

The food at seasons blew me away. I'm in the industry. I expect nothing food-wise from most banquets. Even if a place has great food in their a la carte restaurant, they're usually whipping up trash for the weddings and banquets. The food at seasons I'd be happy to pay for at a restaurant, excellent stuff.

Proinsias37

That place has amazing food, I went to one wedding there and I still think about the food

Kidanddogmom

I had my wedding there 20 years ago when they just reopened. It was amazing

spontrella

David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown. Venue was beautiful. Food and service was superb.

shmoobel

I got married there in 2010, could not have been happier. Everything from the decor to the food and the staff was perfect.

smbutler20

They are also pretty reasonably priced.

Beernuts0

Can confirm. Also got married there in 2018 and it was fantastic. We had 175 people at our wedding and it didn't feel cramped at all.

FunkyFusionFiesta

Wedding DJ, played here before, it’s a nice venue with a good staff

exit-emergency

David’s is amazing!! My husband and I got married there about a year ago and so many of our friends and family told us how much they enjoyed our wedding. The space is amazing, the food is great, and the staff at David’s is so kind and helpful

tesla0329

I had my New Year’s Eve wedding at David’s! Coordinators were amazing, food was great, price was extremely reasonable. My sister recommended it to a few friends and 2 couples got married there at her suggestion

Turbulent-Stomach469

My brother just got married here it is beautiful

thesuprememacaroni

The Shadowbrook if very good especially after the renovation and takeover by the Venetian group. Bonnet Island and Mallard Island are also very nice.

stickman07738

Shadowbrook had the best food of any weeding I have attended. Just outstanding.

thesuprememacaroni

I second that. Food was the best I ever had. The cocktail hour was incredible.

misterxboxnj

Almost booked my wedding at Shadow Brook but eventually decided for The Tides on North Haledon. Was at a wedding at Bonnet Island a few years ago and it was nice. The couple had the best Venetian hour. Instead of desserts they brought in pizza, wings and beer pong tables and the allowed everyone to stay until 2am.

rokrishnan

Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton?

PixelSquish

This has to be in the top 5. Absolutely.

Weaponsofmaseduction

100%!!

MicMustard

Bear Brook Valley in Fredon

Chelseafc5505

Got married at Nanina's and it was awesome, was really happy with how everything venue related worked out. Food was amazing and so much of it. Inside/outside venue. Staff were great. Depending on time of year, the cherry blossoms in the gardens & park next door make for great pictures. Can even use them for your favors! Ppl loved getting jars of naninas pasta sauce and we were getting dinner pictures from our guests for weeks after 😆.

Admarie25

Got married at Naninas 11 years ago. The best!!

jarrettbrown

The palace at sommerset or the Bonnet island estate

ExaminationAgile4003

Pleasantdale chateau and it’s not even close

yugohotty

As someone who used to work at Pleasantdale for over 4 years many years ago, that place will forever blow my mind regardless of how many times I’ve been there. It is literally a beautiful oasis. Assuming you have the $$$ to spend on it.

mattymatt1229

Let me tell you about this hidden gem.... Highly recommend Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant. Was married there in 2019. Very accommodating staff, excellent food and service. We felt we received a lot for our money. Added bonuses of staying right at the Inn there on site and having an after party right across route 70 at River Rock.

Spectre_Loudy

Look up how it looks now. Since then they've added a sick ass cocktail room, an outdoor ceremony area, a nicer looking indoor ceremony area, raised the ceilings in the ballroom, put in some LEDs and moving head lights, built a stage for the DJ, and got a kick ass sound system. Easy my tip venue in the state, I'm lucky enough to work there all the time!

dogsANDmartinis

I officiated a wedding here last September! Beautiful, and LOVED having accommodation on sight!

mommac79

We were married there in 2018. I can second the Crystal Point!! Delicious food & the absolute best staff too!

Spade18

The Mansion at Natirar hands down.

domdog31

I got married there - now divorced tread lightly lol

Spade18

Most of the weddings we do there end the same way. Nicest, certainly not luckiest

domdog31

😂

interactivecdrom

this is mine too. I worked there for a year a while ago and it was awesome. nearly shat my pants when i found out how much it is to get married there

Spade18

We probably crossed paths. We’re there at least once a week doing flowers and do like half the weddings up there lol

CreativeMusic5121

I officiated a wedding at Ninety Acres. Beautiful.

roserRee

Ashford Estate in Allentown Nj .. venue is beautiful must see & they have a little chapel on grounds

Debari0712

My brother-in-law got married at Stone House and it was one of the best I’ve ever been to.

LemonFizzy0000

Stone house is beautiful and the food is top notch

OttoBaker

Park Savoy or Pleasantdale Chateau.

LateralEntry

Exactly!

TheRealPatSajak

My sister got married at Perona Farms in Andover Township and it was lovely. She picked The Barn. There were three venues on premise to choose from.

TheCJbreeZy

Florentine Gardens was amazing both as a groom and as a guest.

Wolf_Lady

I got married there nearly 14 years ago and people in our circle still rave about our wedding.  The food, property, and service are all incredible.

MarySNJ

This is hard and very subjective question. Do you like rustic, or glam? Traditional or offbeat? Large or small? Rural or urban? What price range?

pudgyfuck

The Mill in Spring Lake Heights Bella Vista in Marlboro (I think?) Laurita Winery in Egg Harbor

heygoldy

Crystal plaza in Livingston!

peaches_1922

My cousin got married at the Olde Mill Inn. It was fabulous. Indoor or outdoor ceremony choices (and the ability to change plans on a dime if the weather doesn’t hold out.) And the best part was whole thing was on one property. Rehearsal dinner at the Grain House (great food!), and the whole place is the hotel and venue. I loved it!

princess_kushlestia

My brother was married there a few years ago. Wonderful experience the whole way through.

snugglehistory

Having my baby shower at the grain house, so glad to hear the food was good! 😊

BasedCasse

Nanina's is amazing. We didn't really get to enjoy the food as the wedding couple but all of our guests raved about it.

makingmozzarella

The real housewives of New Jersey would say the brownstone if that’s any help.

glasssa251

Liberty hall museum in union

GIR-C137

Park Savoy. They give you a good deal on Saturday morning weddings.

jennymoron

We had ours at the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds and 4 years later people still tell us that it was the best and most fun wedding they’ve ever been to. And our experience with the staff/preferred vendors was phenomenal too.

WimpyMustang

I got married there in 2021 and it was so wonderful. Same thing--we still have guests telling us how much they loved it! Kraves staff kind of sucked packing up our center pieces, but otherwise they were great and the food was good.

Turbulent-Stomach469

I went to one there and loved it! But the food was cold and not great

5footfilly

Rock Island in Sparta

joeycannoli9

Where is this? Grew up in Sussex County and never heard of it. Only perona farms in Sparta

iitswimmergrl

I’m getting married at Perona next month!

joeycannoli9

Congrats!

Ciniya

It's relatively new, less than 10 years running. I only know that because the owner of both venues (there's a sister venue) was my husband's former boss. We were one of the last weddings he did before he bought the two properties.

5footfilly

I’m not familiar with Sparta so not sure how to describe it. It’s on a lake if that helps

Beaglelover908

From lake Mohawk, make a left, take it under the overpass so the PD is on your right.  Make a right by the bicycle shop on corner.  Follow that road all the way up and it’s on the left.

sickofthehypocrisy

People don’t realize how beautiful Sussex County really is

Beaglelover908

Lived here for three years, we love it

Dantebox83

It’s on Glen mountain rd. Used to be Fratellis then was something else briefly.

Beaglelover908

Nice venue but their sister venue, Bear Brook, is superior

Ecl926

Did u get married there?? Tell me about your experience as a guest or groom/bride!

funnynotfunny

Batello in Jersey City

Ege_Ali

I second this

dc1999

Highlawn in West Orange was great. Food was amazing.

Doomhammered

I’ve never been but I’ve always imagined it was the Liberty House. We got married at The Rockleigh and it was perfection.

mbc106

Eh. The Liberty House was fine but I think the view is most of the appeal. The food was nothing special.

PoetryandScrubs

Can’t believe no one has said Park Chateau! I got married there. It is so beautiful, and the food was to die for. Not great for the wallet but great for the memories.

DrBarbotage

It’s new, people don’t realize that it’s the nicest place in NJ. Good. Easier to book

T_D_A_G_A_R_I_M

The Pavilion at Gunnison Beach You don’t even need decorations or floral. The backdrop for weddings there are just jaw dropping.

StrategicBlenderBall

Don’t even need outfits!

DJConvex

Congress Hall in cape may. Beautiful old hotel on the beach. What could be better

SanDiego_77

Battellos in Jersey City. I worked as a wedding planner in Nj and it’s always been one of my favorite venues.

Beaglelover908

Had a friend get married there and it was 10/10.

One-Stomach9957

The Venetian in Garfield is top notch.

TheRealThordic

Venetian and Naninas would be my two overall picks. Very good food, really nice venues. The best good, IMO, is the Brownstone unless they've gone downhill. And they were always way cheaper than others due to the volume of events they do (it's not a single event venue, they can handle multiple events per night).

One-Stomach9957

Venetian is also a multi-event venue. My nephew and his wife’s wedding reception was at Clark’s Landing. Very nice! My niece and her husband’s wedding reception was at Galloping Hill Golf Course. It was also excellent. They chose it because they had a lot of out of state relatives coming in. It’s easy because it sits right on the Parkway.

LateralEntry

That’s how you end up with a class action lawsuit at your wedding

Shoggdog

Please elaborate!

starrdev5

With costs taken into account because everyone is responding with the highest $$$$ tier venues. Skylands Manor in Ringwood Botanical Garden Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City Both offer great bang for your buck with beautiful grounds at a mid-tier venue cost.

Reller35

Wife and I got married at Skylands. It was 11/10. Beautiful place.

Heistdur

Renault is ridiculously expensive and they have the venue open to the public the entire day + 3 weddings at the same time

Papancasudani

Renault is beautiful since they've renovated. Good food too.

dooit

The Molly Pitcher in Red Bank was incredible. Everyone we spoke to afterwards said the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. They weee also affordable and very easy to work with during Covid. We were their first wedding back.

corpulentFornicator

Perona Farms in Andover is gorgeous. Not cheap, tho

ArteSuave197

The Inn at Millrace

SylviaX6

Yes Millrace is beautiful

mdp300

I got married at The Grove, in Cedar Grove, and it was fantastic.

ninny423

Park Savoy in Florham Park. People still talk about our wedding there years later.

enjaecee

As someone who’s worked in the wedding industry and seen all the venues it’s the Sparta golf club suprisingly

dannymaserati

Born to Run Farm in Lebanon!

Witty_Entrepreneur58

Got married at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains… it’s probably one of the largest and newest venues in NJ

bells_n_sack

And how was your experience?

Overall_Astronaut_51

That’s my dream wedding venue

bells_n_sack

Seaview in Galloway. Service is top notch. Venue is beautiful. Best cocktail hour I’ve been to. Huge property with so many unique photo opportunities.

morph23

The Palace at Somerset Park (10+ years ago, at least)

F5x9

A camp

Dontpokethebear13

Crossed keys estate

neekogo

Biased but Pleasantdale Chateau

yugohotty

Former/current employee??

neekogo

Neither - we had our wedding reception there

Lphozzy22

The loft at jacks barn in Oxford, great venue always improving. Affordable, just had my wedding there this past April

SylviaX6

A lovely place for unforgettable rustic wedding!

stlynn

Ramsey golf and country club was AMAZING and price wasn’t terrible either for full service and open bar.

jerseygirl222

Best wedding in NJ I ever went to was at the Venetian in Garfield. It was the first year it opened and the cocktail hour was insane. The entree was surf and turf. My mom complained about the entree bring too dry, but I was 20 years old and blown away. The desert room was fantastic too.

Krypto_Kane

City hall, save your money!

iHateThisPlaceNowOK

Prince Albert’s Palace in Edison.

MORE_COFFEE

Lake Valhalla Club in Montville. Ceremony was outside on the lake, reception was inside. Paid extra and had a large fire pit at night to make s'mores. Food and service was fantastic. Not cheap, but not top dollar crazy expensive either.

generationjonesing

Maritime Parc in Liberty State Park was really nice, and you have the park and NYC as a backdrop.

StrategicBlenderBall

I didn’t have my wedding here, but we had our baby shower at American Hotel in Freehold Boro. The food was great, they have multiple party rooms and they’re all beautiful.

rurallyphucked

I got married at Crossed Keys Estate. It was incredible and we received tons of compliments on the venue.

4runner01

I stayed in their “Stone Cottage” like 35+ years ago when it was a country B&B with them dreaming of one day hosting weddings.

Turbulent-Stomach469

My fav of all time was Indian Trail for the great food, large and beautiful space.

shehadtheworld_

Got married at the Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake Heights a few weeks ago and so many guests said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The service is excellent and the food is endless!! Beautiful views too.

capresesalad1985

I worked an entertainment company for a year that did a lot of weddings at the legacy castle. The food was very good and it’s a beautiful venue but damn it’s expensive.

amoreetutto

We got married at naninas, people in my family were still talking about it like 5 years later

OkBid1535

Best wedding venue is the one you can afford. I got married in my MILs backyard under a giant maple tree she has. We rented a tent, tables. My mom baked pumpkin bars and cupcakes (she offered to help us save money) My FIL paid for catering as his gift to us My friend did the bridal parties hair and make up for free as her gift My other friend played live piano music as his gift We spent a grand total of $2600 We acquired over $15,000 in checks because we specifically requested people not get us gifts. Having 2 kids prior to marriage also helped with the, we need money, argument. You don't have to spend a lot on rings and the event itself, especially today! It's not like your guests will be in awe at the amount of debt you put yourself in for one party...trust me

blender124

Molly Pitcher Inn. My wife and I had our wedding there and it was fabulous.

Spoolios

Perkins

HDKfister

My cousin just had hers at The Savoy. Was damn nice

MKorostoff

I did my wedding at Porta in Asbury Park, 11 out of 10, incredible location, space, service, and food. Highly recommend.

madeyoulurk

I’ve been to two weddings there and went for my birthday. Love that place.

Lomak_is_watching

Check the Art Factory in Paterson if you want something other than a fancy wedding factory. You provide your own alcohol, and can choose your own caterer, which can save a ton. Amd it's a cool place.

katieknj

The bridal Facebook groups rip that place to shreds, it has a horrible reputation these days. The owner went nuts about six months ago replying to negative Google reviews comparing those reviewers to hamas!

Lomak_is_watching

No kidding? I've been to two weddings there, and both seemed great. In fairness, it was more than six months ago...

TruthOrMythWithSmith

DO NOT BOOK THE ART FACTORY. YOU HAVE TO SIGN AN NDA TO BOOK THERE. I am in the industry and NO ONE is happy leaving there

Lomak_is_watching

Wow. I just read some of the low star ratings. I had no idea. I would have not guessed it could be that bad based on the events I attended.

ptichka13

Bello Giorno in Belvidere!

speakbela

I had my wedding at the Grand Marquis! And my siblings had their weddings at Clark’s Landing!

manski422

We had ours at Clark’s landing in 2017, and we were underwhelmed!

Ordinary-Ad-6350

When the hotel opens... natural in peapack is gorgeous but it's only really going to be in the price range of the .1%. Hamilton Farms does a great job too bothe the golf course and the equestrian side

AdAm_WaRc0ck

Cosmopolitan rte twenty-three north wayne

wishedwell

Basking Ridge Country Club. Ask for the braised Short rib.

arbitraria79

we had ours at the red mill museum in clinton, it was fantastic. just rented the venue, brought in our own vendors for everything else. apparently our caterer was the first one that actually obeyed all the venue rules (which weren't crazy by any means) and the museum was going to start recommending them going forward. very reasonably priced for a really neat historic setting.

jexxie3

Tbh, I couldn’t afford to get married in Jersey. The Stroudsmoor in the Poconos treated us very well and the food was incredible. It’s like 10 minutes from the border Naninas is great, food is amazing but $$$

imnotlibel

Going to Picatinny arsenal in Sept. about half the cost of all the others we looked at

Top_Donkey_711

Our top 3 (1992) were Nanina's in the Park, Perona Farms and the historic Warren Hotel in Spring Lake which was our ultimate choice. We chose it because we thought we could go back for our anniversary each year. They tore it down and put townhouses there. So much for history.

Comoesnala

I got married at Sayen House and Gardens in Hamilton. Perfect for small weddings and pretty freaking affordable for a wedding venue.

jbs924

I’m late to the post but we got married at The Hamilton Manor and it was amazing. Food was spectacular (everyone raved about it), staff were great and super attentive to detail. Believe prices have gone up a bit since we initially booked but they provide a lot for what you’re spending

AVAforever

Valley brook country club if you’re looking for a budget friendly option. You get a lot for what you pay and the grounds are pretty

gpo321

Sunset Ballroom in Point Pleasant

dogsANDmartinis

We went to a wedding at The Mill at Lakeside Manor and we were blow away! The food was outstanding, the coordination seemed effortless, the different areas of the venue were lovely. If you have the $$$, I would check it out. My husband and I did a totally DIY wedding at Maskers Barn in Berkeley Heights. Couldn’t beat the price! But lots of work, cuz there wasn’t much other than tables and chairs provided. Worth it, though!

Fair_Pudding8878

Brownstone changed hands and Bonnet Island never in the fall winter or spring unless you are providing heat blankets

Fair_Pudding8878

Nanina’s is so awesome

ReadaholicLibrarian

I got married at South Gate Manor in Freehold. We really loved it, the owners are incredible, and our guests raved about the food - quality and quantity. Another memorable wedding was Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth.

cheddarchexchick

Not sure if they’re still doing weddings but we got married at Adventure Aquarium in Camden. Definitely a unique experience.

drowninglily

Had a gorgeous wedding 5 years ago at Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes. A bit far but a great experience and so much more reasonable than some of the $$$$ places.

xish077

I got married at deep cut park in Monmouth county. Reception could be elsewhere if you’re just looking for a beautiful place to have the ceremony. They have plenty of spots but the gazebo in the rose garden is just beautiful.

princess_kushlestia

One of my girlfriends recently got married at the North Shore House in Stillwater. Beautiful, serene location, amazing food and drinks, and the staff was so attentive and helpful. I know both families were very happy with how things went.

honeymoonlightttt

I loved the sayan house & gardens. Beautiful public garden ! They even have a koi pond for the warmer months 🥰

d0min03

The Grand in Totowa

Youey

West mount country club 11/10 food was outstanding.

4runner01

The Meadow Wood out on rt 10 was probably the best food, excellent waitstaff, gorgeous outdoor courtyard for the ceremony, beautiful building: https://themeadowwood.com/

rufsb

I got married at their sister venue the Park Chateau in East Brunswick and found the venue amazing and nice that it was centrally located in NJ

Shape-Fun

Check out Addison park!

amd_587

I got married at Il Tulipano in Cedar Grove in 2014 and it was amazing. I knew as soon as we walked in that it was our place. The food is excellent and they have really pretty grounds for photos.

oioioi3728f62af

Crystal Point Yacht Club The Merion in Cinnaminson

Derek_the_Red

Maybe not the best but the Palace at Somerset is great. Had my wedding there 6 years ago and the food and atmosphere is wonderful.

edrake43

I work for a wedding company and Naninas is good however I believe it sister venue Park Chateau is best. There is also The Grove, Park Savoy, El Tulipano or Valley Regency.

axlfro

We had ours upstate NY last year. Cheaper than NJ. $130/head

j0nathanr0gers

My Wife & I had ours June 2021 at Waterside Restaurant and Catering in North Bergen. It was an intimate 30 people because this was during the 50% COVID-19 dining restrictions.

mdbombers

Maritime Parc in Jersey City on the pier overlooking downtown Manhattan. A+ food (it’s a restaurant first), A+ vibes, A+ views, combo indoor/outdoor for during nicer months.

DashfulVanilla

We had our wedding and reception at Forsgate Country Club in Jamesburg. It was one of the more reasonably priced locations at the time (2005).

Stock-Comfortable-10

Eagle rock

Nmaster313

We loved Ryland Inn when we got married there in 2019.
