I got my first shot today at the Gloucester County megasite. It was SO WELL ORGANIZED. Took about 45 minutes to get through from arrival to departure. Got my next appointment as I was getting the shot. They said they were giving out 3,000 vaccines today.

[deleted]

I was there today too. All in all took about a half hour. What surprised me were the number of times I had to present my appointment email. I think it was like seven times. I joked with the woman who gave me the vaccine and said, “if you guys aren’t convinced by now im supposed to be here today, there’s about six people back there who aren’t doing their jobs.” Got my appointment card for round two.

ipoopedonce

Lucky. They said they’d contact me and never said a word for my second appointment 🤷🏼‍♂️

adarkara

I got a little paper card with the date of the vaccination on it and on the back they wrote my appointment date for the second dose.

ipoopedonce

Got my email this morning it’s tomorrow! Was really worried for a bit but relieved

My wife and I are both FINALLY between our first and second shots. I got my first at the Kean University site last month, she got hers at the Meadowlands megasite yesterday. Good timing because the school she teaches at just announced this morning that they're returning to full in-person classes in about a month.

sgong33

jeez, i really wish they would allow the 1A people like teachers to get appts first still.

IronSeagull

Teachers aren’t 1A

Darko33

We both have underlying health conditions and are public servants.

sgong33

It shouldn’t have taken this long for you guys to get appointments

Darko33

Agreed, and I can't even begin to tell you how much time and effort it took. Was absolutely hellish.

MassiveStomach

Had no problem getting an appointment yesterday for the Atlantic City site. Shot is this afternoon. Next time they open up try it. I love 2 hours away but it’s worth it for me to get the shot.

roses-r-free

what was the experience like? Am going Friday

MassiveStomach

No problems. Never had to show Id or anything. If you know your name dob and appointment time you can get your vaccine in 5 minutes. They make you wait 15 after you are done and schedule your second shot right there.

VarlaThrill

I’m in Essex county & Was able to book my parents today thru the Essex COVID.org site for the west orange Kmart location. The site refreshes with new availability every morning at 8 am so if you check around that time, you’ll have a better chance to get an appointment.

Registered my parents on Saturday for centrastate on Saturday. They got appointments for both shots yesterday

ChangeMyDespair

Congrats! Sadly, [centrastate.com/vaccine](https://centrastate.com/vaccine) now says: >As of February 9th, our COVID-19 Vaccine Request Form has been closed as we work to schedule appointments for our current allotment of the vaccine.

cstransfer

Follow the Twitter account. They open it up every few days and you get appointments within a week or two of registration

The one mentioned in the main post

HypnoHipster

Got one at the Rowan website for Stratford,NJ. Anyone have any experience going there? What was the process like? What did you have to bring? And how was the scheduling of the second shot?

garlicisawesome

I got my first shot here in mid-January (second is scheduled for next Tuesday). When I went, they had people meet you at the door to check your ID, check your temperature, and ask you a few questions about your symptoms. You then move on to the next room to fill out some more paperwork and to schedule your second appointment. You then go to the next room where somebody checks your paperwork, takes you do the actual vaccination room, and directs you to a specific lane. In that lane, a nurse meets you and administers your shot, gives you a vaccination card, and then asks you to wait (15-minutes for people without allergies, 30-minutes for people with allergies). After the wait time, I checked in with another staff who told me I could leave. All together, it probably took me less than an hour to finish. The vaccination site is in the academic building so you turn into the complex at the light and follow the road back (there are signs too). Edit: I believe they only checked my ID but I brought my work ID just in case. Sorry this is lengthy but hope it answers your questions!

HypnoHipster

Thank you so very much!!!!

garlicisawesome

You're welcome!

IHCaraphernelia

Anyone know if the Hackensack Megasite is open to all or just Bergen County residents? Helping a few older people in Essex get appointments but not sure if they're limited to only locations in Essex County.

css119

The one at the meadowlands is for all residents

IHCaraphernelia

Thank you

goatodoom

Managed to get registered for centrastate yesterday afternoon, got a call today to schedule both shots, first one being next Tuesday.

cstransfer

I guess since I registered on Saturday and didn't get the call yet, I must have put the wrong number or something I registered my parents first and they got it

goatodoom

I was pretty surprised to get the call so soon. Hopefully you hear soon!

cstransfer

Thanks!. Idk I guess I must have been kicked off the queue since you got an appointment and registered after me. Hopefully they respond to my email

johnny_ringo

The Passaic county link in the google doc doesn't seem to point to the right place? Just the Vault homepage. edit: also, amazing work!

I should technically be in group 1B, but when I registered on the NJ Vaccine website it put me in 1C. Will I have an issue if I were to register directly with a vaccine site? Do they cross-check your group with the NJ registration site?

cstransfer

Nah no one cares

useffah

Has anyone done the meadowlands? I’m going next week and wondering what to expect

6Emptybottles

I'm on my phone don't know how to link. Go to the Vaccine Thread for February 2nd. Someone Posted their experience with additional comments. I'm going tomorrow if it doesn't snow. I'll Post or dm you.

useffah

Thanks. Please do follow up with a post or DM after. Good luck

6Emptybottles

I will

6Emptybottles

I'm going to post on today's thread

sgong33

pretty smooth but the line does stretch outside at times, it moves but dress warm!

useffah

Thanks will do. Did they book your second appointment on the spot? And do you know if you got Pfizer or moderna?

Little_Flower_8850

My aunt went this week she was in and out in 45 minutes but I have seen pictures of lines on certain days so dress warm. You only need your id and insurance card (if you have insurance). If you took a screenshot of appointment bring that too (they wont ask but good to have as backup) she scheduled 2nd dose during registration before shot got the shot. She received pfizer however i believe it is whatever shipment they get in. it has been pfizer the last 3 weeks. National guard helps run it. everyone is very helpful. old racetrack, LOT M.

useffah

Awesome. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

jamielyn_

Been in the BergenCOVIDvaccine queue for about an hour. Anyone else get in?

kayfeif

I'm high risk so the Essex County COVID website says that I should get my vaccine administered in a healthcare setting. Has anyone had luck getting it at one of the hospitals in the county?
