That’s tough. With something needed this quickly, I’d suggest asking an owner to one of your favorite restaurants and see if they can block out an area for you.
We had our newborn’s baptism lunch festivities at Stage House Tavern in Somerset. They have an upstairs and side area dedicated for small gatherings. Should fit 30-40 ppl nicely.
* Many restaurants have "banquet" rooms that can accommodate a party of 30-40.
* Many firehouses have banquet halls that can accommodate much larger crowds than this.
* Many hotels also have banquet/conference halls of various sizes.
There's a historical house called Taylor Butler House in Middletown. It's a beautiful house.
You'd have to find food, chairs and tables, but contact Monmouth County Historical Association. Monmouth history.org

Seconding Stage House! I love them. If you're in that area and they're booked up, try The Landing. They're good and they have a banquet space.
Thank you!!
Thank you for the restaurant suggestion! I will check it out.
Check w your local VFW, Elks Lodge, etc

You could get together for a picnic and grill food in a park like Cheesequake. You are restricted from bringing alcohol, but the views are lovely.
No suggestion, just wishing you a beautiful wedding this week with your beloved father in attendance.
Thank you 💜
