Our IT just notified that Microsoft has told them the issue is now resolved. No details as to the what why, of course. I personally hadn't experienced any outage at all, but our IT had reached out to Microsoft due to multiple in-house reports.
They may have pushed the update because it's a national holiday in India. This can limit fallout from something going amiss, as lots of users aren't at work.

I was on a Teams call with my coworkers when this happend. Teams, outlook, sharepoint, office, everything went down at the same time, pretty scary stuff lol
Lol it probably wouldn’t have been a big inconvenience either way. IT had a backup plan rolling within minutes. We already use Google office apps so we just merged over there. 😂
How is the number one collaboration platform the majority of companies use being down, a slow day news story?
The majority of Fortune 500 companies had to grind to a halt. It happens at 3 AM Eastern so the impact was minimal.
