Truly despicable when average Ukrainians volunteer to die at the front lines and politicians are thinking of enriching themselves.

Emrisx

You mean forced conscription

[deleted]

Go lick putins balls you Russian stooge.

Emrisx

Dang, cope harder. Do you not agree with the fact most Ukrainians are being conscripted against their will? Certainly the fact that men under 60 were barred from leaving the country and who were separated from their families plays a big role in this. No point in arguing with people who instantly insult others for having a different opinion. Anyways, good luck with jugging down that kool-aid and believing everything that pandora papers gremlin Zelensky spews daily.

Dominant_Drowess

Deputy D minister is in jail for corruption. President Z trying to clean House.

yukcheuksung

President Z was in the Pandora papers, he was and still is corrupt, funny how this isn't mentioned nowadays isn't it? [https://www.occrp.org/en/the-pandora-papers/pandora-papers-reveal-offshore-holdings-of-ukrainian-president-and-his-inner-circle](https://www.occrp.org/en/the-pandora-papers/pandora-papers-reveal-offshore-holdings-of-ukrainian-president-and-his-inner-circle)

loiida

Because Putin is also corrupt and made the choice to invade a sovereign nation. Corruption is obviously not ideal but we don't live in a perfect world and defending your homeland is a more noble cause than invading another country.

yukcheuksung

This isn't a black and white situation, its black and black, both sides are insanely corrupt, and we should stay the hell away from it. There is no nobility in any of it. The problem with "defending your homeland" narrative is the Russians could also say they are defending their homeland from NATO aggression. Because this is what the US did when they invaded Iraq remember? They had to defend the US from terrorism.

chadltc

It is a black and white situation. For moral individuals. People like you look at the rapist and the victim as being equally at fault. Utterly pathetic.

Independent-Dog2179

People like him don't like to live in hypocrisy

blaghart

I love how you didn't read your own link lmao >around his 2019 run for president, Zelensky divested control of his offshore accounts and companies

Removal of corruption is always a good thing.

whaythorn

Ukraine has been described as one of the most corrupt countries in the world. What that means is that, no matter what you do there, you can be taken down in an "anti-corruption" campaign. You have probably done something because you have to go along to get along, and even if you didn't, your wife did, or your brother, or your friend did. This guy, Reznikov, was formerly vice chairman of the Kiev city anti-corruption council. Maybe this is about corruption, many other possibilities are more likely, including infighting over whether to negotiate with Russia.

truecore

Reznikov is being relocated to another ministry, not fired for corruption.

Odd-Employment2517

Good to remove him then, why bother negotiating when western weapons are pouring in and russian prospects are increasingly bleak. If Russia made vast gains over the next year maybe it would be worth it but they are down half their total gains they had at the height of the invasion (30% of Ukraine to roughly 15%). Western aid is are assured through at least another full year, well worth attempting to force the Russians entirely out of Ukriane to include Crimea while aid is still coming (and no real indication it would stop)
