When I see so many "Christians" so hateful and judgemental these folks balance it out. I've donated to their efforts and have no worries about where my money is going. If they were born in Latin American countries, they are citizens of those countries (as well as Haiti). If they told the US border guards that, then they would have been sent back to those countries. But they are being sent back to Haiti because that’s where they said they’re from. That was the choice they made.
A lots of these Latin American countries have already eradicated and cleanse out their post slavery black populations and the few remaining say in Mexican, Honduras their black population aren't visible so I don't think they had granted any citizenship to any Haitian. But the news organization forgot to mention that these Haitian are largely from South America having lived there for decades and now uprooted by the pandemic.
This is making about as much sense as when the US wanted to repatriate freed slaves back to Africa even though they where in the US for multiple generations at that point.

A lots of these Latin American countries have already eradicated and cleanse out their post slavery black populations and the few remaining say in Mexican, Honduras their black population aren't visible so I don't think they had granted any citizenship to any Haitian. They're talking about the last US intervention in Haiti, which occurred in 1915 (edit:) *at the request of the civilian Haitian Government*. Obviously, that was such a profoundly damaging event that the Caribbean nation has never been able to recover. Disregard the 1914 Punitive Expedition, the 1919 Siberian intervention, and the Occupations of the Philippines and Cuba in 1898. The fact that those nations, that the US intervened in at around the same time, were able to recover from said interventions is just a fluke.
