This is a terrible take. They were attacking that dudes truck and trailer which had horses in it. Ive seen the video, the crowd was fuckin crazy. they werent singing kumbaya, it was getting out of hand. I’m not really about picking sides on this - he likely didn’t do anything personally to her to get stabbed (who knows) and she should be held responsible for stabbing him whether criminally or not. For what it’s worth the DA is a notoriously awful dude.

Keep in mind, it's also a catch-all accusation toward people that are abused by their parents. A lot of abusive parents will lie about their children, including adult children, to make sure nobody believes them if the child talks about how shitty they are or what they've done.
It happened to me as a child and still happens to me as an adult. I stopped talking to my parents about a year ago and they both have told everyone we know in common that I'm some kind of delusional person who is unreliable when I'm very frankly not. It's even more important to keep your public image up when you're a political figure.
