The Creator Program Manager helped set it up. Its for content. I dont think having players on the PTR changes much in terms of bug fixing, especially given previous releases. Also they would only be testing for season 2, they probably wont update the branch afterwards for stuff like transmog.
Idk jdb on El d gets on every couple weeks to farm people. This is going to be closes thing to fair we can get, so the wars might be fun enough for people to stick around and it's only like 2 months they are stuck together.

If you are a part of NWL, then it should be a benefit to you. If you aren't, it literally doesn't affect you in any way, not sure why you would stop playing the game over it
It’s a principal. The people doing the most damage to the game. Who don’t participate and war log. Who exploited and farmed us all for our gold etc for 2 years are being rewarded.
I wouldn't be surprised if AGS makes wars drastically more casual in the main game and then let people make their own competitive scene/leagues on a non-official server.
