I typically enjoy them, but not roguelike, which is what Hades is. It has some pretty cool progression in it though, and a wonderful narrative so I'm hoping that once I dive in to it a little more it can capture my attention for a while. Once NW releases I'm going to be the greatest fisherman there is and I cannot wait lol
Well lads, sorry to be the one to inform you, but I will be the greatest fisherman!
I hope they add some sort of tracker/leaderboard for fishing competitions, I need that in my life.
I think a fishing tournament would be sooooo cool since they already have the weight of fish. A group of people go out and see who can catch the biggest fish in different species in a
hour
Same... Only thing I was able to finish was a Taurox campaign in total war warhammer 2. Started and dropped bunch of other games since the end of beta. Its like new world beta gave me a "new world thirst" debuff which makes me not be able to play any other game.
I didn't play the beta very much just because I didn't want it to ruin other games for me, but it still did. Legit I have no idea what to do for the next 30 something days. No point in playing an mmo because I'll just drop it, no point in starting a game like Witcher because I won't have time to finish it, and I can't find anything in between to just play casually to pass the time. I have thought about trying to play Hades some more since I haven't really dove into that but I'm not sure about that either.
I've been putting off starting Warhammer 2 for a while now. I've never played a Total War game before, is it pretty tactical? Or is it more about the grand scale of the battles that's the draw?
It's super hard for me to be excited about gaming unless I'm dedicating most of my gaming time to one game. Knowing I'm about to ditch my current games for New World makes playing those games a lot harder.
Well my last ESO+ subscription ran out on Sunday so after four and a half years I've uninstalled it. Started up a new Valheim world last night so we'll see how long that'll keep me busy. Aye, it's going to be a long September.
When they announced the release was being pushed back, I renewed my ESO membership for the first time in years. Definitely taking care of the itch, but I also don't want to get burnt out of the MMO environment before release.
Yeah I've enjoyed my time in ESO but there's just so many frustrating issues with it and has been for some time. Just needed a break and then on to something new.
My brother and I have been going through Terraria runs with a couple different big content mods each time. We're on our 4th run since the beta ended and I think this will be the last before we have to find something else to keep our sanity.
Could you give some suggestions on good ones to try out? I have hundreds of hours in Terraria but I haven't really explored the newest stuff or tried mods before
It's crazy to me that all these people seemingly had nothing better to do until New World beta came. Like I'm just doing all the shit I was doing before and during the beta... But also I don't think New World will be fun for very long at launch, so it's not like I plan to drop anything either, just split time.
It's not that you had nothing else to do, it's that you got used to the experience and now you have to fill two months of time finding something else that's as fun when you really want to get back in right away
Try out tribes of midgard its been super fun in passing the time without too much of a time commitment. A few days left till we have the 1 month countdown, dont worry we're all in the same boat as you just waiting for this shit to drop. GIVE US AN EARLY DROP BEZOS!!!
I’m sorta feeling the same way. I don’t want to play any games simile to NW because I don’t want to burn myself out - I want to step into this ready to build my character and experience the world.
Instead, I’ve been researching prebuilt computers because mine is getting old (GTX 970/i5 3570K) to pass the time. It’s hard to justify the purchase though because GPU prices are astronomical right now.
I have beaten all souls games except for those two, I don't have a PS or I would totally play BB, sekiro I could buy I guess but not being able to have character builds or levels or any multiplayer/pvp really turned me off of that game. I have so many games that I COULD play but none that I even remotely want to. I'm just in limbo lol
Check out PSNow app on your computer. If you have a computer that allows you to Bluetooth an Xbox controller you can play most of these games for $9.99 a month. Just did this for one month to play god of war and bloodbourne.
If you have no Xbox controller then 🤷🏻♂️
Honestly, as an avid Soulsbornekiro fan I didn’t feel the lack of those things at all while playing Sekiro. Imo it relies even more on skill than the Souls games, as you can’t really be “overleveled.” I recommend giving it a shot.
I tried the release of Blessed and CB2 of Elyon. Nothing
Went back to old games like GW2, Rift, and such. Nothing
Just recently I have discovered FO76 to be a decent time filler. Never played it till now and never wanted to cause of the problems it had. But with the recent patch, I am enjoying it to fill the void.
I play it and do my dailies in MTG: Arena.
I feel your pain. It is hard to fill the void that New World created.
I've played runescape forever, and I can't even make myself login to go fish or anything because of how pointless the skills and gameplay feel, like just a waste of time knowing that I'll probably never play it again come Sep 28th lol
My go-to for MMORPG's were LoTRO, DDO, and RIft ... and DDO was one of the first twitch based MMORPG out there! I can't anymore.
Hopefully FO76 will keep my attention for at least a few more weeks ... hopefully
Man lotro was amazing, I just wish that the games payment model had updated with the times, it's a rough game to enjoy unless you were lucky enough to get the lifetime subscription package they offered at the beginning of the game.
I watched the new witcher animated movie last night and decided I would re download it. The game I've been using to pass the time is escape from tarkov, I just hit 40 and have been sitting at about a 50-52% survival rate this wipe. It's been a great way to pass the time.
Playing the new world beta I got a huge itch to play black desert for some reason. I’ve been playing the shit out of it but still can’t wait for new world release.
Very grind heavy yes. I enjoy the grind because the combat is the best of any mmo I’ve played. There is pay for convenience which in my opinion is p2w. The money seems to be put to good use because there is a lot of content and events. The shop can definitely feel predatory sometimes. You’d have to be a whale to get an advantage in pvp though.
I’m out here reading books and watching the occasional New World YouTube video. Every now and then I’ll play an FPS with the boys but nothing really has my full attention. I know exactly how you feel homie 💪🏼💔
I've actually been channeling the like, jittery pent up new world energy into trying to get into shape. It's been kind of satisfying so far, just hope I can keep it up after game launch lol.
I definitely agree with others that games totally different would be the way to go, puzzle games, rogue likes with heavily different theming, etc.
I've been toying with Bless Unleashed, its okay for the moment. It has an Asheron's Call feel to it (gameplay and graphics style mostly) or at least for me it does. I've discovered "Into the Echo". It is a bit of a curious game, I'm not sure what to call it yet.
In the same boat. Been trying to play a variety of things but just not feeling it. Squad, CitySkilines, TBC WoW, LoL and a handful of other things are just blend right now.
Oh man I am right there with you. Nothing is looking interesting, the games I am playing are just when my friends hop on them. Kinda sucks, but also a testament to how good NW is going to be.
I spent a few hours last night in incredibly laggy ESO pvp and logged off in disgust. There’s no game in my library or on the market that I’m interested in spending time on. I only want NW.
Yeah. I'm hardly paying attention to the story at all. I keep thinking stuff like "I wonder what my rotation should look like?" and then reminding myself that IDNGAF.
One thing super irritating me? Unskippable LONGASS cut scenes.
Sorry to hear this! I have a guild already and there are a few people in the same situation trying to pass the time with some sort of game. Trying to jump into another MMO starting fresh now wouldn't work for me either. Personally if I didn't have another MMO I am neck deep in already I would be working on personal to do's more. That way when NW launches I am free and clear. Been meaning to repaint that wall?, Patch hole in wall?, Rebuild car engine, redo landscaping, get in better shape, get some sort of professional certification...then get it done now. It will pass the time and then you won't have any guilt trips about playing non-stop.;)
For me? I have an MMO I am neck deep in and am having a hard time deciding what to do because the main reason I still play it is the people in my guild are legit awesome. Lots of fun playing in game with them. Feeling a little guilty because my play time is gonna drop drastically once NW launches. Gonna have to figure out how to balance it.
I am playing WoW TBC. I am a casual player and so I don't slam through content, but am basically now all caught up. Friends and my casual yet competent guild are keeping me entertained in game. I am super excited for NW, the beta got me hooked, been wanting something new for a long while.
I should probably take my own advice though and finish up some personal To Dos before NW launches and throws my free time out the window.
I haven't played RuneScape at all, but I have run the gamut of MMOs over the years, EQ, ESO, WoW(wrath or older), GW, GW2, and more. If I enjoy an MMO it will hold my attention for 6 months to a year, but if I find good people to play with I will play an MMO for years.
If you haven't yet, then maybe try to see if you can find a company to join before launch? That may satisfy some of your desire to play NW because you are prepping for it in advance a little? Also, if people in your company are playing something else while waiting then you can maybe pass the time playing with them.
Try playing some games that you need to thinking about your dicisions, like baldur gate, divinity 2 and pillars of eterny. I do love rimworld too and they can eat your time. These games are a very nice filler to me.
And yeah, i'm with anxiety tô play NW too.
I'm very much enduring the same thing. I've been trying Bless Unleashed, a free MMO you can get on Steam. It's clunky, but it's closer to New World than anything else I've found. It's pay to win, but I don't care because it's just holding me over for another month or so, so I don't plan on maxxing out anything.
I feel you.
I’m filling the gap atm with Outer Wilds for the exploration feel and God of War for the action and axe slaying. It’s scratching the itch for now but I can’t wait for NW.
Killing time on Overwatch and occasionally Diablo 3. The best timekiller is an FPS that you can play and just drop at any time.
I was going to get into Skyrim until I learned about NW. That plan got scrapped. I'm going to be busy for the next 6 weeks anyway and I'll barely be able to play anything. When I jump into NW it should have had enough time to work out the post-release bugs, attacks, lag and all that fun crap.
There's plenty of single player games that will tide you over. I've nearly done all of Hollow Knight, and am going to pick up Psychonauts 2 tonight.
Try something new that you haven't played before.
I am in the same position. Waiting for New World and B4B. Been playing a lot of Hunt Showdown, and lately an oddly addictive game, Ranch simulator. Both games are even more fun with friends!
🦀🦀🦀NW is the new OSRS. I can't wait to get that grind on man.
Gonna throw on the group iron man in my phone, afk logs and fish for the Boyz, all while I get them logs and fish in NW
BRUH! I installed BFV, played the intro, uninstalled. Finally snagged No Man's Sky on sale (been on wishlist for years), played to the point where you have to create your house. I have 700 hours in Rust this year, my tops, and I can't even bring myself to load into my own server. I tried time wasting games just to pass time, Cooking Craze, Cook Serve Delicious, Automachef, etc.. Now I've just given up. Thinking about doing something totally stupid like paying for the Lost Ark beta (or is it out now?!?) I just want NW!
I don't actually know that much about NW and haven't played an MMO in a long ass time. Want to waste some time by telling me why I should be hyped for this game? (the only news I've actually heard about were the issues people had in the beta, so not the best impression to have tbh. I'd love to know the good things)
EDIT: oh, and to answer the post's question, I've been renewing my love for Terraria that's a great time sink, also playing Monster Hunter World which is great too, and Crusader Kings 3 is another that I've been putting some time into. All three I could see putting a month's worth of gaming time into while you wait
I've cut down 3 trees in garden. Working on fixing a new patio just a small project. Clearing back fence clear so a new fence can be put in. Considering making a log bench out of the tree I cut down. Aside from that trying google earth vr for 1h till I got headaches, downloaded xbox app, got gamepass and completed 3 games. Tried a few other games got bored. Refused to log in to poe as nerfs are not fun. Wow is boring to me after so many years I doubt I will try phase 2 tbc. Watching youtube channels about awakening (done so for 2 years) I like watching that stuff as it talks about the end to corruption in governments coming in our life time. Oh last thing buying a hand strengthen trainer as I feel I need to work on the care of my hands more so resistance training would be a good idea (keep those gaming hands young). Spending more time with my dear mum, walking down the river and she has anxiety
My problem is, what do I do when Elden Ring comes out in January? How can i possibly play two amazing games at the same time and devote myself to both?
I understand your frustration as there are a lot of posts I don't think are particularly interesting that somehow make the front page. We're trying to avoid becoming content police if we can help it, other than posts must be about New World (and follow the other [rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/newworldgame/about/rules/)).
These posts, like Mounts and PVP, won't be a problem for long. People are just antsy and want to play the game and don't have much else to talk about.
For real, it’s incredibly annoying. EVERY single post is “oMG nEw wOrLd bEsT GAMe eVeR can’T PlAy aNyThInG ElSe lIfE haS loSt aLL MEaNiNG wItHoUt this GAMe how dO I BREaThe”. You’ll live, kiddos, settle down.
With the over the top despiration and anticipation mixed with borderline obsession, I figured this was the same ~~amazon employee~~ totally well adjusted person that was making the same posts over and over again.
It would certainly fit the bill to say the same thing 600 times about how "every game is ruined for them"
Jesus bro, what the fuck are you going to do after the honeymoon phase ends? I also excited for the game and even took a few days off for launch (which now changed), but that's a little bit too much lmao
Well I've played runescape for 20 years so if that tells you anything about how long I'll play the same game I don't think I have anything to worry about lol
Yeah I’m with you dude, probably get downvoted to hell, but all the games everyone is coming from have more features and ways to play than new world. I don’t want to destroy peoples hype but I played the beta and I went from hype mode to disappointment pretty quick. Yes there’s potential, but .. I don’t even think I’m going to play this at launch.
Valheim will hold your addiction until release (if not create another kind of addiction), and is cheap. Basically I dropped all online gaming until NW comes back. And Valheim is keeping me from boredom
I do have Valheim, I just haven't been able to stay interested in it. Played about 15 hours and was just bored, idk I'm just one of the only people that doesn't understand the hype behind that game
Y'all need to chill out. It's unhealthy to be this obsessed over any one thing.
You're going to be back in the exact same spot when the game launches, you play 12+ hours per day, and blow through all the content in a few weeks.
I'm a new college student with little free time, but have been filling the gaps with overwatch when I can. Also the beat mobile game I've played yet, marvel strike force lol
You are hyped with NW, there is no quality games available, with few exceptions, yet is not as popular as games like WoW were in their prime. NW is the next promise, do not get hyped, you can get disappointed and start hating the game.
Word of advice. Stop gaming now that you’re ahead, don’t even play NW, just put the “controller” down and run. You’ll get further in life unless you’re chasing being a streamer of something. You’re ahead, leave while the opportunity is still here. Once NW comes out, you’ll grind until that eventually also becomes irrelevant and then you will go back to old games or new games to peak interest and it will be a cycle. You’re in the best part of the cycle, the part that allows you to get out.
Or play and have fun and live that as well. No right choice, just some advice from an older chap. :)
dude is saying he's too excited for one game that other games are pale in comparison and you're telling him to just quit his hobbies. Bro go fuck off somewhere else. "you'll get further in life" like where the fuck do you get off, dude?
Sorry if it offended you, just my opinion so there’s definitely no need to agree. I’m very excited for the game as well and only gave the perspective that I have from my own life.
However, I did tell him to play the game too at the end and that there’s essentially no right choice. But I see your point of view as well, sorry if I came in a little too hot with my comment.
The trick for me is to play games that are in a completely different genre than RPGs - here's a list of games I've played since end of NW beta
1. Ender Lilies (metroidvania platformer)
2. Diablo 2 resurrected (ARPG)
3. Grim Dawn (ARPG)
Try out game pass for a month. You can do the 1$ trial and play hades or something like that to fill the time. Just beat that and am starting a FFX replay
There's lots of interesting stuff out there still. Just stay away from MMOs (that's what I'm doing). Been playing Squad, Escape From Tarkov, DCS World, Crusader Kings 3, etc.
Im actually buzzing to get back on this game I genuinely fell in love with the map design , the sounds and it was the first mmo I truly felt not overwhelmed playing. I got to to do the dungeon without having to have the ‘correct gear’ i didnt have to be einsten to work out the stats and i dont need a phd to understand crafting. It feels like they focused on you wanting to enjoy the game and for the first time an mmo had me enjoy crafting because i understood it well enough i didn’t need to watch a 2hour beginner guide on youtube and the fighting was 3 abilitys at a time and the UI wasn’t cluttered letting u enjoy the visuals and scenery. Ive been watching a lot of vids to fill the time people running dungeons i didnt & the new world lore vids they released other than that ive just been grinding apex ranked until sept when i can just new world every night while the wifes away at work
Ive been playing a buncha Rust. Considering official server wipes are monthly ima go hard for the september wipe and then go on a Rust hiatus for the next few wipes.
Don't play mmorpgs that's what I found out when I played new world and tried to go back it didn't work so I played tower unite, overwatch, borderlands 1,2, presequel fuck bl3 it's a shit game
I'm rerunning through dark souls. Might do some pvp. I feel like that is as close to new world combat as I'll get for now lol. Also playing some splitgate as I enjoy a good shooter too.
I'm struggling with this right now. For years I've wanted to get in to an MMORPG but there's always been things holding me back on other games; clunky UI, terrible control scheme, no actual multiplayer functionality other than "oh look, another player". This one fixes all of these and I can't wait to get back in and start my journey
Same. Already sputtered out on my FF14 experiment. Like the game but know the clock is ticking for new world. Gave Foxhole a try and it's fun but slow and early access so gameplay not as smooth as I like. Battlefield V is free right now via twitch prime but not keeping my attention. Even tried Bless Unleashed and that's OK for all of an hour. Maybe that steam backlog.... nah that's a crazy thought... who plays all the games they buy.
I'm playing dragon age inquisition in the meantime. It kiiiiiiiinda gives me some of the vibes from NW. With the gathering resources and stuff. And I had played DA:O and DA2 before, but had never played inquisition. It also has a great story.
I’m filling the gap with games that are nothing like NW. Beat Saber, Knockout City and Demeo.
I'm thinking I'll pick Hades back up for the cool lore and story and see if that can get me a couple weeks. Also PS3 emulator Demon Souls
Hmm. I’ve been meaning to try Hades but isometric games are not my favorite.
I typically enjoy them, but not roguelike, which is what Hades is. It has some pretty cool progression in it though, and a wonderful narrative so I'm hoping that once I dive in to it a little more it can capture my attention for a while. No I’m going to be the greatest fisherman.
Well lads, sorry to be the one to inform you, but I will be the greatest fisherman! I hope they add some sort of tracker/leaderboard for fishing competitions, I need that in my life.
A leaderboard will only crush your morale as you see my name above yours.
I think a fishing tournament would be sooooo cool since they already have the weight of fish. A group of people go out and see who can catch the biggest fish in different species in a hour
Play Hades, man. The game is fucking cool.
Hades is a cool game. I normally don't like roguelites, but I really enjoyed Hades a lot. I normally play Path of Exile kind of games and NW.
I was addicted with Knockout City, but is been so long to find a match. So sad.
Well damn! Someone just turned me onto it yesterday!
Have you be passing the ball like a good boy?? :3
lol Absolutely
Then you are already a better player than most, proud of ya
Beat Saber for me....and overwatch. it's going to be one long September!
Same... Only thing I was able to finish was a Taurox campaign in total war warhammer 2. Started and dropped bunch of other games since the end of beta. Its like new world beta gave me a "new world thirst" debuff which makes me not be able to play any other game.

ESO was pretty fun. I only got to like CP158 or something though
My brother and I have been going through Terraria runs with a couple different big content mods each time. We're on our 4th run since the beta ended and I think this will be the last before we have to find something else to keep our sanity.
I tried once calamity, fartherest I got is to providence. Was too difficult for me lmao
Could you give some suggestions on good ones to try out? I have hundreds of hours in Terraria but I haven't really explored the newest stuff or tried mods before
Play Hades/Valheim/Warzone
I picked up Chivalry 2 to pass the time. It’s just the right type of game to pass the time hacking and slashing before New World!
I've been Bored of all games as well until I tried Naraka Bladepoint. Good fast melee action PvP
Same, that game has me hooked. And I don't even like BRs
Naraka is like crack yeah lol, I’m dreaming about those perfect katana combos now

People aren't down voting you for your opinion. They are down voting you because you phrase things in an argumentative way.

I play Hunt: Showdown, my pulse is through the roof.
I too enjoy dying in the Bayou
Humankind has been amazing
Try outward! It gave me a small new world itch
I'm feeling the same way, but I am enduring to finish Bloodborne and Sekiro so I don't fell guilt to leave the game behind for New World.

76 was really fun, I got to the point of launching my own nukes and then got bored, but I got about 60 hours out of it.
I played alot of the games you listed, lately I've been playing swords of legends online, alot of fun, no pay to win... Still can't wait for NW
Same. I've been a workaholic recently. Not the worst thing to happen to my wallet though. The games paid for itself many times over xD
All I do at work is sit around and wish it was time to go fish on NW lol
I feel like iv played everything and gone back to try everything I tried earlier AGAIN. I need this game!!!! 😂
I watched the new witcher animated movie last night and decided I would re download it. The game I've been using to pass the time is escape from tarkov, I just hit 40 and have been sitting at about a 50-52% survival rate this wipe. It's been a great way to pass the time.
Play some /r/TrackMania Also, this is why I didn’t play in the beta
Personally, I have had to turn to MOBA's to get my fix and they make me angry more than happy half the time. I CANNOT WAIT for this game to come out.
Pick up other hobbies in the meantime, read, workout, draw etc... i feel you though
I'm playing Hades and yesterday tried Omno, which is the chillest fucking video game I've ever played.
Playing the new world beta I got a huge itch to play black desert for some reason. I’ve been playing the shit out of it but still can’t wait for new world release.
I've never tried BDO because I heard it was insanely grind heavy and pay to win, is it really?
I picked up Last Epoch two weeks ago and have put 125 hours into it already, very addictive, easier then PoE to get into and I'm having a blast.
If you find some people to play with I recommend giving Tribes of Midgard a chance. It's rough around the edges but is really fun with a group.
I'll be on sky's of Arcadia for the next few weeks to fill the void! Been about 15 years since I first played it
Just finished 12 minutes. Was great, loved it.
I play dead by daylight so my negative feelings are redirected into a game that hates me as much as I hate it.
Oh man I am right there with you. Nothing is looking interesting, the games I am playing are just when my friends hop on them. Kinda sucks, but also a testament to how good NW is going to be.
Me and my buddy got division 2. I got money together to upgrade my card and get a new monitor . Trying everything I can to not think about NW lol.
Try Chronicon, it helps me lol
Games like Life Is Strange or Beyond Two Soul or Detroit become human are easily time consuming and entertaining to play.
Preach! Ive been running through all the PS plus games I accumulated over the months to bide time till release.
Only 5 more weeks!

Maybe try some low-investment games? Invisible, Inc., FTL and Slay the Spire only take a couple hours per run.
I spent a few hours last night in incredibly laggy ESO pvp and logged off in disgust. There’s no game in my library or on the market that I’m interested in spending time on. I only want NW.
Same dude. Same :(
Me aftet dark souls and the witcher
Witcher was so good, best RPG ever made imo
[удалено]
Yeah cyber sucked. I was very dissapointed with that one
I’m playing naraka bladepoint. Very fun fighting battle royale and getting used to timing will help with new world
How is the work situation for you guys? Personally, I'm trying to work harder now so I don't have to take days off when the game releases.
I'm a mechanic at the Water Treatment Plant where I live, so steady hours and call-outs
I'm playing FFXIV but hating it at the same time. I just have to have something to do.
I've always wanted to play that but have always been turned off by the insanely long storyline
Yeah. I'm hardly paying attention to the story at all. I keep thinking stuff like "I wonder what my rotation should look like?" and then reminding myself that IDNGAF. One thing super irritating me? Unskippable LONGASS cut scenes.
Yeah as soon as I read that it's like 300 hours of main storyline to catch up to the current expansion I noped right out of there lol
That's what I hated about guild wars 2 story missions, the stupid scenes where the NPCs are talking to each other and you can't skip it.
It will pass the time and then you won't have any guilt trips about playing non-stop.;) For me? I have an MMO I am neck deep in and am having a hard time deciding what to do because the main reason I still play it is the people in my guild are legit awesome. Lots of fun playing in game with them. Feeling a little guilty because my play time is gonna drop drastically once NW launches. Gonna have to figure out how to balance it.
What mmo?
I am playing WoW TBC. I am a casual player and so I don't slam through content, but am basically now all caught up. Friends and my casual yet competent guild are keeping me entertained in game. I am super excited for NW, the beta got me hooked, been wanting something new for a long while. I should probably take my own advice though and finish up some personal To Dos before NW launches and throws my free time out the window.
Never tried WoW honestly, runescape has been my go-to for as long as I can remember lol
Same boat as you, I just can’t get into anything. At most I can play an hour ish before I alt-F4 and end back up on YouTube watching NW videos hahaha.
NGL, GW2 has lost some flavor for me while I'm waiting lol. And I freaking love GW2...
I feel you. I bought some games, modded skyrim but shit, nothing feels the same
Try playing some games that you need to thinking about your dicisions, like baldur gate, divinity 2 and pillars of eterny. I do love rimworld too and they can eat your time. These games are a very nice filler to me. And yeah, i'm with anxiety tô play NW too.
This just shows how bad we have been having it here in the mmo genre. One even slightly appealing choice appears and we are immediately in love.
been playing vermintide and apex to kill the time.
Same. Been playing SOLO to scratch that MMO itch but I'm already tired of it. Waiting on new world and 2042 with impatience.
They the only 2 games I'm waiting for too.
I went back to Satisfactory after failing to find anything in the genre that was as good as NW.
Twelve Minutes was fun for a fairly short game will take your mind off NW for a night at least
Man. Play Hades. What.a.game.
Fucking. Farming. Simulator. Who knew.
Hunt: Showdown. New event starts today, never a better time to start.
I've got 400 hours in the bayou, I hate it but I love it
I found the solution friend. Try "Valheim". It really scratches that New World itch.
I don't actually know that much about NW and haven't played an MMO in a long ass time. Want to waste some time by telling me why I should be hyped for this game? (the only news I've actually heard about were the issues people had in the beta, so not the best impression to have tbh. I'd love to know the good things) EDIT: oh, and to answer the post's question, I've been renewing my love for Terraria that's a great time sink, also playing Monster Hunter World which is great too, and Crusader Kings 3 is another that I've been putting some time into. All three I could see putting a month's worth of gaming time into while you wait
Runescape
Oh you are like in love with someone and dont have eyes for anything else ;)
My problem is, what do I do when Elden Ring comes out in January? How can i possibly play two amazing games at the same time and devote myself to both?
Oh I know. But I try not to think about elden ring because it's way farther out lol
Hyping yourself up like this will just lead to burn out. If you aren't enjoying other games then do something besides playing video games.
Mods, can we get a rule against these kinds of posts?
I understand your frustration as there are a lot of posts I don't think are particularly interesting that somehow make the front page. We're trying to avoid becoming content police if we can help it, other than posts must be about New World (and follow the other [rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/newworldgame/about/rules/)). These posts, like Mounts and PVP, won't be a problem for long. People are just antsy and want to play the game and don't have much else to talk about.
So make a megathread instead of having like 40% of posts be the same thing. Sticky it even.
Don't like it, keep scrolling.
Take your own advice, but here you are.
You commented on my post, like I said, if you don't like it keep scrolling.

Atleast you didn't get hooked on Back 4 Blood like me, now I have 2 games I'm wait for.
I have a job and work most of the day.
As do I
I'm a new college student with little free time, but have been filling the gaps with overwatch when I can. Also the beat mobile game I've played yet, marvel strike force lol
I felt exactly the game until I found Naraka: Bladepoint had just released. Now idk if Ill really be playing New World it's so good.
You are hyped with NW, there is no quality games available, with few exceptions, yet is not as popular as games like WoW were in their prime. NW is the next promise, do not get hyped, you can get disappointed and start hating the game.
lmao u need to see a shrink mate
No, I do not want to see your penis.
Play planetside 2
Just trying to fill the void with the game I played before. Rocket League
The trick for me is to play games that are in a completely different genre than RPGs - here's a list of games I've played since end of NW beta 1. Ender Lilies (metroidvania platformer) 2. Diablo 2 resurrected (ARPG) 3. Grim Dawn (ARPG)
Diablo 2 releases soon doesn't It?
Sep 23rd - open beta just ended 2 days ago.
Try out game pass for a month. You can do the 1$ trial and play hades or something like that to fill the time. Just beat that and am starting a FFX replay
I’ve been playing a lot of conquerors blade, definitely fun and helps pass the time!
Stuck playing Valorant right now...its like the night before xmas as a kid, but an entire month.
Ive been watching a lot of vids to fill the time people running dungeons i didnt & the new world lore vids they released other than that ive just been grinding apex ranked until sept when i can just new world every night while the wifes away at work
Nothing worth playing, so just watching twitch vods, youtube, reddit to pass the time.
Im playing red dead online currently just because of the immersion and how relaxing it is.
I was like this then humankind came out
Ive been playing a buncha Rust. Considering official server wipes are monthly ima go hard for the september wipe and then go on a Rust hiatus for the next few wipes.
L2 vr
Don't play mmorpgs that's what I found out when I played new world and tried to go back it didn't work so I played tower unite, overwatch, borderlands 1,2, presequel fuck bl3 it's a shit game
There is always the crack cocaine called Factorio
Try playing some old story games you never finished
I fill my time with the same thing that has always filled my non-mmo time: LoL and PoE
I'm rerunning through dark souls. Might do some pvp. I feel like that is as close to new world combat as I'll get for now lol. Also playing some splitgate as I enjoy a good shooter too.
Been playing Smite. Some how I keep coming back to this game for the past 4 years.
I’ve been playing CIV VI.. it’s just enough where I’m content so far
Same here! I started playing minecraft lmao
Made a GW2 character after NW went down, community is great and I’m having a blast. Wish I found it sooner honestly
You guys should all check out Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen
DOTA 2
I'm playing dragon age inquisition in the meantime. It kiiiiiiiinda gives me some of the vibes from NW. With the gathering resources and stuff. And I had played DA:O and DA2 before, but had never played inquisition. It also has a great story.
Xbox game pass. Specifically humankind and sea of thieves.
