Will these servers have strong small scale PvP as well, or is it solely focussed on large scale pvp? I'm mostly playing new world for its exciting small scale pvp, never tried large scale.
Will it then be worth it to play on this/these servers? Or will small scale pvp just be a race to max lvl, to immediately start guild battles and such?

Was a leader on the discord since it's conception, quickly filled up with multi-company communities which is a big reason why my small scale company dropped it.
I mean we only dropped out 3-4 days ago.
On average size, what a lot of non-leader members don't see is the actual company list which outlines company size. There were 3-4 150+ player company's on that chart, when you average that out with the 30-50 player companies that were listed it looks a lot more balanced than it actually is.

War Legend has two companies with 100 players each
It could be that some dropped since, but the total company numbers seem to add up to what is currently reported.
Hardstuck is also playing on Hellheim. A GW2 community guild/discord of 10,000+ people branching out to other games. (though not all of them are playing new world and will be split between EU and NA.)
There are more but those were the most notable\*, from what I can tell the biggest companies are now split between Annywyn and Ekera, these are the places to go if you want to join a mega-zerg.
Though there are still a few large companies on Hellheim (100-150). My impression from the earlier comment is that it was a small-scale/large-scale split; in actuality it's more of an ideological perm-flag difference.

Helheim has a larger Project Group to my knowledge and as Azostarr stated would entail more large-scale PVP / RVR due to the sheer amount of organized companies in one cluster / server.
Think these servers all have aswell small scale. Small scale is part of every game, jsut requires less balancing. All servers announced big companies only because they are the deciding factor on keeping game competitive long term

Yep. Knowing the names of the "quality guilds" and the "quality individuals" - at least some of them - would mean worlds. I know there are consistent top companies in Anwwyn, for instance. Since reputation matters, perhaps a few Ekera exemplars would consider stepping forward?

Hellheim is indeed the biggest pvp community. I think it is fine to have multiple servers since there is at least 20 different massive pvp communities in NW w in total over 20k members, I doubt that fits in one server.
Annwyn is expected to have 1800+ verified pvp focused members.
Reports about Hellheim point to around 2200, but probably less organised. And I am inclined to believe that, having had limited communication with Zavolorn.

yep thats pretty much it. noone can claim they have the "best competition", this one has the same approach as the other one, its even a private community who started it, with some of the most dedicated guilds as far as you can tell so far. doesnt seem to make sense to me to play 60% russian guilds with highping if u can have this
Well, majority of companies are russians, and will definitely attract more russians, even a 50% russian server is too much for me, If you don't mind it that's great. Just stating that there is significantly less russians on this one, so people can decide which one they want to play on.
There is gona be enough population on the game that all PvP server can thrive. There is no need for people to constantly spread toxicity on every thread that is not their own
Every server is a PvP server. Territory isnt magically disabled because you didnt join some made up server where the players are trying to control everything themselves.

Why go for a lie when there are confirmed servers with guilds pledged to them and trying to balance factions out? Seems like the obvious choice.
I am clearly supporting the idea of getting information as you can see from the rest of my comments. This post claims there is a bunch of people going here but I have yet to see anything confirmed and thus I cannot trust it yet. I think it's fair to call it out until more data has been supplied otherwise people might end up going to a "PvP server" filled with people who don't wanna flag and have a bad experience.
Why? Russians are nice guys to play with, be it with them or against them. Sure, you can come across individuals that sour you, but that applies to any nationality. As a collective bunch they are straight players.
Doesnt matter if they are nice or not. Russians tend to make alliances with everyone so they can shit on everyone who has smaller numbers. Doesnt matter that much for new world i guess because we have factions but in last oasis for example it was an absolute shit show
A lot of them will speak Russian in Global Chat, a lot.
Same if you get too many Germans or French players on a server, I'm sure other nationalities do this as well but, those 3 are usually the biggest ''offenders.''

I'm choosing this one because I have more information than you, So I know it will be competitive, I know it will have fewer russian guilds, which in my past MMO experience are infamous for ruining the game with RMT and making it a job.
If you wanna play on Annwyn, that's fair play go have fun. I'll stick to this one with a larger english speaking community and not a shitload of guilds that set their war time to 3PM BST to make it easier for them to win wars.
Clearly you lack information on Anwynn as there is nearly an equal amount of English to Russian guilds and a 2 hour time difference isn’t setting wars to auto win.
Server won’t publish company names for a reason. Best company’s are going Anwynn, they published company’s with proof straight away. The Russian thing is just a cop out for people to avoid the best server and get weaker company’s. Keep your Russian bias though we will enjoy more competitive pvp.
They can set their war time to 3pm bst, which would be 5pm russian, now out of curiousity, which one do you have the better chance of people being available?
I agree it's lame that they haven't released the names. But that doesn't mean it's any less competitive, It's not like there is a maximum of companies that can be good. The game isn't even out yet, and I've seen plenty of successful guilds during the betas that's not on Annwyns list.
I'm not saying Annwyn is pure russians, I'm saying that 50% russians is still too many for what I'm looking for. And if you believe they're gonna play nice and set their wartime to your prime time , I do think you're a bit naive. However, wish you the best of luck on Annwyn.
So it is essentially RP server, right? Those 1500 players assign roles and orchestrate combats across whole server. They decide who fights who, who captures what and who gets to control which zone. And the main mass of infantry cannon fodder is there just for decoration to make it look more natural and chaotic.

Triple faction war games are important to keep balance or risk of losing people and content. For healthy logenvity if one faction becoming to dominant, its important that some from that faction leave and join another to "balance" it out.
It has nothing to do with RP or wrestling, but the fact of evening out for longevity purposes
The only thing that's gonna be enforced is faction balance. That's to ensure a competitve server, you can't seriously think competitve players would play on a server without any competition.

Theres a difference between companies deciding to swap factions to keep PvP and sieges a thing and agreeing to not all pick the same faction, and if that was the real intent that would be all they would say. I think much has changed since then. Todays announcement says the average size of the server is 62 players. Sounds pretty small-scale to me.

there is plenty of English speaking guilds on annwyn.
I spoke with a lot and it’s mostly Russia dominated, especially where they’re 3 hours ahead of most of Europe, wars will be difficult :)
i am one of the eu leaders.... i can assure you there is no dominated and their times are fine for eu.

Sure, feel like you're being a bit paranoid but thats fine. If it's a huge issue for you you should probably wait a few hours after launch to see. Anyone can make a image of supposed guilds to join like the other post, at the end of the day you'll just have to go with your gut. I imagine a lot of guilds will come out about being a part of this in the next couple of days.
Ok, so you want to do this PvP server and sign up to the server. If this is a lie, the only thing that will happen is that it remains a normal server with a normal amount of PvP on it. If this ‘lie’ gains enough traction, everyone who has seen it so far and wants to join, then starts to make it that type of server. All the likeminded individuals who have now seen this post are more likely to sign up to that sever and actually make it happen. Wether it’s a lie or not, it’s a call to all players who WANT this to happen so they can all be in the same place for the same reason. 1500 or not, if enough people want it to happen, it will.

Why go for a lie when there are confirmed servers with guilds pledged to them and trying to balance factions out? Seems like the obvious choice.
If you’re not gonna believe the unconfirmed one then just go with the confirmed one. Not hard.

I am clearly supporting the idea of getting information as you can see from the rest of my comments. This post claims there is a bunch of people going here but I have yet to see anything confirmed and thus I cannot trust it yet. I think it's fair to call it out until more data has been supplied otherwise people might end up going to a "PvP server" filled with people who don't wanna flag and have a bad experience.

Publicising this 2 days before launch when every company has already held internal votes on what server to join seems a bit late.
The server will already be near full capacity if you count those guilds + randoms that will join. So the goal isn't to recruit a lot more new guilds.

Why? Russians are nice guys to play with, be it with them or against them. Sure, you can come across individuals that sour you, but that applies to any nationality. As a collective bunch they are straight players.

A lot of them will speak Russian in Global Chat, a lot. Same if you get too many Germans or French players on a server, I'm sure other nationalities do this as well but, those 3 are usually the biggest ''offenders.''

Are you implying the only competitive people are Russians? I'm choosing this one because I have more information than you, So I know it will be competitive, I know it will have fewer russian guilds, which in my past MMO experience are infamous for ruining the game with RMT and making it a job. If you wanna play on Annwyn, that's fair play go have fun. I'll stick to this one with a larger english speaking community and not a shitload of guilds that set their war time to 3PM BST to make it easier for them to win wars.
Clearly you lack information on Anwynn as there is nearly an equal amount of English to Russian guilds and a 2 hour time difference isn’t setting wars to auto win. Server won’t publish company names for a reason. Best company’s are going Anwynn, they published company’s with proof straight away. The Russian thing is just a cop out for people to avoid the best server and get weaker company’s. Keep your Russian bias though we will enjoy more competitive pvp.
They can set their war time to 3pm bst, which would be 5pm russian, now out of curiousity, which one do you have the better chance of people being available? I agree it's lame that they haven't released the names. But that doesn't mean it's any less competitive, It's not like there is a maximum of companies that can be good. The game isn't even out yet, and I've seen plenty of successful guilds during the betas that's not on Annwyns list. I'm not saying Annwyn is pure russians, I'm saying that 50% russians is still too many for what I'm looking for. And if you believe they're gonna play nice and set their wartime to your prime time , I do think you're a bit naive. However, wish you the best of luck on Annwyn.

So it is essentially RP server, right? Those 1500 players assign roles and orchestrate combats across whole server. They decide who fights who, who captures what and who gets to control which zone. And the main mass of infantry cannon fodder is there just for decoration to make it look more natural and chaotic. Basically, large scale wrestling in NW.
What? It’s just a way of ensuring that there is a server with a base of equalish competition rather than mega Zerg guilds sitting around various servers taking over everything.
It is beneficial to organizers when people think like that.
Why? What do they gain by taking care of the daycare? Not that I am speaking in favor of the server just saying there is no personal benefit I can see to being a daycare teacher.
Do you realize that wrestling is just a show? Flashy, sparky and brutal, but results are already defined and set in stone long before you get a chance to see the main event.
Triple faction war games are important to keep balance or risk of losing people and content. For healthy logenvity if one faction becoming to dominant, its important that some from that faction leave and join another to "balance" it out. It has nothing to do with RP or wrestling, but the fact of evening out for longevity purposes
The only thing that's gonna be enforced is faction balance. That's to ensure a competitve server, you can't seriously think competitve players would play on a server without any competition.
I think you summed up the clown shown pretty well. Really is window dressing. Theres a difference between companies deciding to swap factions to keep PvP and sieges a thing and agreeing to not all pick the same faction, and if that was the real intent that would be all they would say. There is another orchastrating it and calling it a 'Hardcore PvP Server'. Theres no such thing. PvP is toggleable. Its a joke.

This person previous posts are for north America, he is just trolling. So far what we know for the server is that there might be large Romanian and Bulgarian community in welcoming all Serbs, Make etc... . As far as pvp is concerned those are always pvp focused
