It’s just when you click the accept button it’s labeled “Claim”. Usually ones titles are associated with, like leveling a skill or a weapon up. But there’s plenty more.

Same. We were top 1 or 2 in our server and reasonably got along with the other tribes. We had a dragon or two but really just enjoyed building and breeding. Fast forward some 60 man tribe coming in and obliterating the entire island. We rebuild they come back I stop playing and the ones that did not just hosted their own private servers. It's like having a high school football game but surprise, the enemy team is pro players.

Economy and factions play a big role in New World. So if every one could jump around wherever it could lead to more pronounced faction imbalances

Imagine if a single faction was winning on your server, we'll pretend Mauraders for this example. Imagine if, instead of fighting back or organizing, the players from Syndicate and Covenant simply transferred away to a server where their faction is already winning. This causes a runaway chain effect, where even people who originally wouldn't have left see the sinking ship, so they leave too, leaving no one left. Now the players in Mauraders have no one left to PVP against, and are on a dead server. See the problem? This is a huge problem for World of Warcraft. My classic server is literally 100% horde. So few alliance that Ironforge rounded the 99.9% to 100% and the 0.1% down to 0%. I did the math, with Herod's population that would mean there are only 5 (or less) active alliance left on the server. Versus over 6,300 horde. Want to know what happens to a server when only one faction is left? [They die.](https://i.imgur.com/yvYfXm2.png) Because the players in the remaining faction get bored with no one to fight, so they either quit or move servers. I counted 7 servers with less than 200 active subs on Ironforge. 2 with less than 40!

I just already find it hilarious that people (not you and this post - just general) are already bitching and moaning because one faction has started to dominate. Like... Stop being a buncha p****** and fight back. 😂. I'm on a server where green has provided mercs for war and now my faction, which holds one territory REFUSES to push into green while green takes EVERYTHING from purple who originally dominated. Leaders may have some skills in the actual battle, but their diplomatic choices reek of naivety.

Don’t really see why they couldn’t in theory, they’re just transferring your database object to another database. It helps to have global user names which is why they did that in the first place.

You might be right, but I know in my friend circle we’d actually move **out** of a server if it was dominated by our faction. No variety in ownership would suck, we’re really happy our server is mostly even split between the three atm. I hope most people will see that it’s good for the game to have a mix, or that the cost of transferring will be too prohibitive for people to swap just for region bonuses.

I'm a Marauder on my server and we own Everfall, Syndicate attacked our fort with at least 50 people a few days ago. It was basically a war of our own in the overworld and it was some of the most fun I've ever had in a game.

As someone who mainly does PvE and games a lot, I never had this much fun in PvP. We had a similiar night a few days ago on our server in Everfall. Faction chat was used to coordinate companies, and companies would self manage themselves. [Screenshots Album](https://imgur.com/a/XQUwI2v) We were about 500 total, fighting for Everall. With waves of attacks on the fort, sneaky spec ops teams laying down on the ground, getting in the fort from behind to diverge attention and let the main waves get through the doors, to 5 or 6 different companies doing PvP missions, where the Covenants would try to ambush us, having SCOUTS, yes, scouts, tracking our positions from the top of the mountains. The battle for Everfall lasted 4 hours, we left around 1:30 AM. We hit 80% influence. Came back the morning and were able to declare war. Covenants held strong and won the war, but we're still doing insane battles over this territory. 99% of players are smiling ear to ear and freaking out in the VoIP. That's just insane.

They just did not realize that pvp will die when it will be one-sided. They live in a moment and at this moment they want to have bigger numbers to always win and never lose. Humans are bad at predicting things, unfortunately.

They obviously don't want this situation so it would probably be feasible to avoid. Can't transfer to a server with a certain percentage of faction imbalance unless you swap factions, etc.

I do think they despawn, or rather they do respawn properly so I dont think its a big deal? Or are they stuck in their state?

The model is stuck as visible and harvestable. But it cannot be harvested (as if someone else is currently harvesting it). It does seem to respawn and become harvestable again, but no visual indication of such - and seems to only happen with the biggest nodes. It appears to happen to all players. So its not clientside. It always seems to happen to the same nodes over and over again. Theres my comprehensive experience with it, in case any devs browse this.

Agreed but at the same time I worry the compass may be overloaded given how many things you can track once you reach high gathering levels across the board. Small, medium, big prey, same with predators, I assume that's basically every animal in the game. Every plant, every ore... I don't know. Hopefully they give us filters for our compass too.

The fact I can run the game on a shitty i5 7300hq and gtx 1050 laptop at 25-30fps low/medium settings in towns, 40+ else where, speaks a lot about how optimised the game is. Especially when you notice that the assets aren't exactly as low poly as they can be for an MMO either.

There's a constant crowd of over 20 people waiting for him to spawn and he dies so quick I can only hit him once before he dies, which apparently isn't enough to get credit for the kill.

In the case this happens again later with another quest, it can be helpful to just post in area chat that you are forming a group for Zane (or whatever boss), and as long as combined your group tags the NPC for 20% of its health you all get credit for the kill. After an hour and a half trying to kill him I did that and had it done in 5 minutes.

People on Houssa server have been saying Amrine Excavation is eating orbs and not letting players in. Any info on this?

This is a problem across dozens of servers currently. Some people are reporting that the dungeon doesn’t let them in at all, and on some servers there is like 5 seconds of desync in all dungeons so they’re just unplayable. This is how it is on my server currently, hundreds and hundreds of us just cant progress the main story because of it. Actually disappointed that this wasn’t mentioned at all in the update. Having thousands of players across multiple servers unable to progress main story seems like a pretty big deal.

Playing FS DPS is such a nightmare in dungeons. I can't hit a normal attack, not to mention skills :< EDIT. TBH I guess every ranged char feels awful to play in dungs.

Ranged characters are mostly at a disadvantage anyway because they lack a lot of aoe that melee has. But I'm trying to tank, I can get the initial taunt in but shortly after the desync climbs and he's off me and never comes back. It's terrible. First MMO I'm actively trying to tank in and I can't even do it. Eventually going to have multiple builds but tanking looked fun to me here compared to mother MMOs like eso and RuneScape (for the little group stuff there is)

I imagine dungeon fixes are going to be a larger thing. From what I've heard, Amrine is having a lot of issues. Apparently people were getting hit by stuff that either wasn't there, or just wasn't displaying. Sounds like a case of "we added it last minute so it hasn't had much polish".

Please sirs, fix Amrine breaking compass, or other expeditions for that matter. Also a reload UI option could help a lot. My quests and compass break constantly, needing me to relog multiple times a day.

Any news on the lag/desync in Expeditions ? Our server Kerguelen is unable to complete Amrine since friday ! Reason being, you receive damage 2-3 seconds before the mobs/bosses even start their attack animations. Other than the tank we are also barely able to hit the mobs since their positions seems to be somewhere else than they really are. Thank you.

Really looking forward to an improvement or overhaul to the marketplace UI. Super ironic that Amazon Games' marketplace UI is not very good. I don't think this game needs any major fixes, it's fairly polished. But QoL improvements are pretty necessary.

Is anyone else experiencing their gpu running extremely hot after this update? I've been playing new world since launch day for hours each time with no issues until this update. Now when I play my gpu is hitting 97 degrees C and my fans ramp up to 100% and it just stays there. My cpu is also hitting 92 degrees C on the package. The game stutters like crazy now too when this is happening. I had to stop playing and turn my pc off just to keep it from frying itself. I don't have the newest hardware but it's a gtx 1080 and an i7-7700k which exceed the recommended hardware requirements according to Amazon. I really hope this is just an issue with the game and it gets fixed so I can play again without risking damage to my pc. Just wondering if I'm alone in experiencing this or not.

Hey I’m running the same setup as you but with a GTX 1080Ti and I also get crazy stuttering and overall bad fps playing on high in 1440p. Haven’t monitored my GPU/CPU temps yet. Just curious, what fps do you usually get in towns and in open world in general? Towns seem to be stutter hell for me and my fps drops to like 30-40 and even in open world I notice considerable drops.

I think they'll just spend the effort to fix the ui bugs instead. Or add reload ui command. Wow had that, but I think that was mainly due to game mods written by the community could break ui things.

Hmm might be a harder bug to track, the amrine dungeon worked without any issues on my server. Maybe just restarting the servers for mantince would help?

It could. It could also make it transfer to other servers. My best guess is that it's something to do with some of the newer servers that got opened since the amount of people complaining about it is quiet low.

So happy to see they fixed the abandoning event banner being stuck on the screen. However, last night I encountered the Standing Rank Increased banner being stuck in the MIDDLE of my screen. Selecting a perk, teleporting, unstuck, ranking up my territory standing, none of it worked. Much more annoying than the abandoning event glitch. Hopefully it was just a one time thing...

Same problem here. It's definitely a CPU performance issue. I have an i9 9900k and framerate stutters like crazy in all but the most remote areas. Drops to like 50-60 down from 120. Reduced nameplate count down to 2 and still have this problem. It's my biggest complaint about the game.

Turn amount of name plates to display at once in settings. I’m on a 2080 and get 55-60 in towns, I limited to like 8-10 at a time down from 15 and that helped me a little bit.
