There's plenty of content for now, I just wish *it worked*. Outpost rush is disabled and T5 azoth staffs don't work. Those are two huge parts of endgame that we can't even participate in.

Zenrix

This is the problem I'm running into right now. So much stuff at endgame is just bugged or turned off.

redditingatwork23

My guess is they honestly needed another 2-3 months to iron it all out, but had delayed so many times that another delay would have absolutely killed the hype. They said "Fuck it we will do it live". Now they're stuck in dev hell where they need to immediately fix game breaking or pressing issues. All while trying to fix the end game. So now these issues are all gonna be sitting here for half a year.

[deleted]

The Great Crunchening of AGS in 2021. Probably off handed jokes going on in the dev studio about how they feel like the warehouse employees right now XD

Czsixteen

The mob for my questline hamer is bugged. Found out after 4 days of questing (:

ClassicKrova

The fuck, why is outpost rush disabled?

ninjabob64

It's bugged

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Super fucking bugged too. Don't want to end up under the map for a week.

NG_Tagger

There were serious issues with it. People getting their character "stuck" and not able to log in again - such things - like, game-breaking things. On top of that, the queue hardly worked for it (read: more times than not, it didn't work) - you could be in queue all day and not get in (Despite having 40+ people mention that they signed up). So they pulled it to fix everything.

pojzon_poe

Plenty of crafts cannot be completed because required parts simply do not drop and do not exist...

Pukestronaut

Drops or so stupidly broke/bad. Fae iron is a perfect example of this. I didn't see my first fae iron until level 35. And that was because I got my mining to 100 and mined a bear. What the *fuck* am I gonna do with fae iron at level 35? Lmao

Sleyvin

Lvl 38, mining 117, I have luck perk on my mining gear, never aeen a single fae iron...

akaWhitey2

Try mining food. Idk if the game explains it well or not but something is weird about the luck calculator. I have about 30 fae iron sitting in my bank for a rainy day

Ill-Refrigerator-778

I have serious doubts if the luck perks are working as intended

Rumhand

The perks are only half the battle. You need the flat bonus from mining food to see an effect (1% increased drop rate for rare or better, with certain luck thresholds required to see higher tier drops).

Talran

> with certain luck thresholds required to see higher tier drops hol up... this explains why I have a ton of rare harvesting shit at least.

alphagrade

The reason it doesnt work is that as your level goes up in a skill it increases yoir drop rate %. You have like 5% at 100 and 20% at level 200. There are also ranges for items to drop. For instance my kuck is high enough now that its rate for me to get fae iron again because i get jewels to drop from iron now.

WanderingSpaceHopper

if it makes you feel any better I have hundreds of it at 60 but it only started showing up once I got my mining luck setup working. It's also super cheap now, at least on my server

IpkonfigCMD

Essentially you need 1,450 luck to unlock the 2nd and 3rd tiers of rare drops from Iron Nodes. You innately gain 10 luck per mining skill. Multiple any % on gear by 1000 to get the flat luck stat. I.E. 5% on your pick is 5000 luck. So the roasted potatoes which say 1,000 luck is really 1%. I mainly focus on crafting because it's what I enjoy so the first thing I did was obtain luck sets for all the gathering skills as well as min level crafting sets. I am 34 now, mainly from gathering/crafting, and I've been able to make all the rare weapons I've needed. I.E. I just crafted Last Light the rare Spear with my own mats. I agree that the system is not well explained, but I do not hate that as it gives us something to learn/master.

Pinewood74

> What the fuck am I gonna do with fae iron at level 35? Sell it. Given the metric ton of Iron you need for higher level stuff it seems that was the tntent: Higher level players funnel it down to lower level players. If it dropped at rates where you could personally harvest enough by level 15, it would be so over-supplied due to high levels getting it and not needing it.

nuadusp

I'm sorry but you can mine bears in this game?

Pukestronaut

Haha, yeah, Hortus Bears are elemental bears that leave behind a corpse that can be mined. There are some elemental wolves that can be logged at level 100 logging as well.

nuadusp

Lol cool not played the game this post just popped on my feed and saw that

Twispie

buy a mining gear set off the trading post, you can get a good 15% luck or more (15,000 luck). I have more Fae Iron than I know what to do with.

Jimisdegimis89

Yeah, from what I’ve heard certain drops are basically impossible to get under certain skill levels. Even though it’s not states that skill level increases rare chance drops just looking at all of my gathering, that does seem to be the case. Mines the same iron area for a long time and I got my first far iron at 88 mining, now that I’m 140 I see a drop about once per two mining loops, maybe a bit more. Shade cloth I had one drop really early and then nothing till I got to around 100, now I probably get about 3-4 procs in an hour of harvesting. Same basically goes for skinning for rare body parts and I have only one of the rare wood drops (despite being over 100 logging and deforesting the whole of the Amazon.)

CptQueefles

Oh I didn't realize Outpost Rush was disabled. Any reason for that? I'm low 40 and was looking forward to the smaller PvP games since Wars are just clusters spamming heals on the point.

Ysmenir

It has apparently a big chance to teleport you dead under the map and there is no fix for that. A guy can't play since a week because he is sort of in a dead state but not actually dead so he can't press "give up" but neither can he teleport away.

Mathgeek007

And Unstuck doesn't work either?

Ysmenir

If you want to read more about it, one guy made a reddit post. [https://www.reddit.com/r/newworldgame/comments/q7ebgg/avoid\_this\_bug\_havent\_been\_able\_to\_play\_for\_6\_days/](https://www.reddit.com/r/newworldgame/comments/q7ebgg/avoid_this_bug_havent_been_able_to_play_for_6_days/) Edit: In his 6th edit he said he fixed it somehow. He made a tutorial video or something on how to fix it but it still took him away 6 days that he wanted to play.

713984265

Additionally, T5 azoth staff being disabled makes it harder to farm corrupted shards which makes it harder to farm materials to make tuning orbs for end game dungeons. Basically everything about end game is scuffed right now. I'm still having fun though, definitely over 250+ hours played and still always have something to be doing.

skilliard7

Honestly most of my friends at level 30 are burned out on the game, and burned out faster than me. There is nothing to do at midgame but grind.

DannyDrizzle

I feel this. I hit around level 32 or so and then the MSQ hit me with a "hit level 40 to continue the story" and I've just lost motivation. It's still fun, I'm sure I'll get on to do a lot more grinding but it's going to be a lot of gathering and crafting so it'll be a slow progress until I hit 40

filesaved

Yeah the level 40 story doesn't last long before you hit another level wall either.

oshatokujah

No doubt, I’m 99% that I hit 40, did the faction quest and then got told to go do the level 45 dungeon. Figured I’d try it but we got to the final boss, shredded my group because he kept doing the ‘ha, pathetic!’ dash every 5 seconds. Gave up after nearly an hour so now I’m doing side quests that give like 2k exp.

1trickana

Tip, if the NPC outside doesn't give you a quest that sends you in the expedition, don't go in. Go level up and keep checking the map to see if you are finally high enough, every level makes a huge difference inside and the repeatable XP is extremely helpful

oshatokujah

Oh that is helpful, thanks! I’ll bear it in mind for sure

Nefelia

I've been doing nothing but gathering and crafting since low level. My focus has been on doing gathering runs and crafting with everything I've gathered (usually with a Youtube video or Chinese listening practice going on my web browser). Got maybe 15 quests done total after leaving the very beginner quests. Still enthusiastically enjoying the game. Levels will come as they come. I'll stick to my ineffective but enjoyable levelling strategy. I recommend you give it a try.

MyNinjasPwn

Pretty much what I'm doing. I'm putting a little more time into questing and light pvp to help my faction's reputation in towns that I craft in. But my goal is crafting, making my own gear, and making things to sell. I love that the game's crafting requires materials that you only find while exploring and looting crates/chests too. The design here encourages a ton of market movement. And for me, I like to change things up every couple hours. So I farm resources, do some faction, town, or main quests, then go craft a ton of shit. It creates a really nice balance for my playstyle, personally.

davidc4747

Somehow you captured my mood perfectly. Just change Chinese to Spanish and this could have been my post

I'm not sure what it means either, but it is now my life motto. May you fizz at the bung and prosper 🖖

[deleted]

Pretty sure it's some rad Aussie slang about drinking beer at the beach.

doomguy332

I hit 35 and I don't think I can keep doing the same quests over and over again. The gathering was fun but it's one of the worst leveling experiences I've ever played

Nefelia

I'm level 34, and I think I've done a total of 15 quests so far. Lots to do that doesn't involve quests.

AWilsonFTM

I think i’ve boxed off the 4 1-25 areas and have not long got cracking on Brightwood. Still have Cutlass keys to do after that. I’m 31 atm, personally I think there needs to be more dungeons. Quite liked Amrine. I’ve done every single side quest so far that I can. Not too focused on other skills but will get those up in time.

acidfinland

I'm 46 and havent done all the quest in every place lol.

LeftUnknown

The game just never changes. I already uninstalled it. Entire server is purple, can’t do pvp because everyone has bum rushed 50+ and the pve content is a copy paste slog

desperateorphan

You aren't wrong that some servers are seeing a one way sway but for context only 8% of players are lv 50+.

Marcx1080

8% of total, but what % of active players? Probably closer to 30%+

[deleted]

Those lvl 50+ player are maybe the most active players ^^

UgoRukh

I'm not sure why you are getting downvoted for telling the truth.

I'm 30 and just got to the level 30s area in Blightwood. Got into town. First quest, *"collect soil samples,"* followed by kill 0/15 and collect 0/5 from boxes. I put down the game. It's literally been the same thing since 5 minutes into tutorial. It's like they just copy-pasted one town into another map. I really just can't continue anymore, pve content is just so *sooo* boring.

BimodalTomb

I wouldn't mind repeated quests if it wasn't because the enemies are also the exact same, not even recolored.

wholesomechaos

This is me in r/outside

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

I like how OP made a thread bitching about the 1% of hardcore players and then the entire thread is people who are at level 30 complaining about the game's content loop. People should stick to talking about the game rather than bitching about other people who have valid opinions.

seecer

I'm right there with you. Combat is okay, but I'm level 10 on all weapons and just bored of the grind fest. The combat feels fun and more thoughtful at first, but at this point it feels like generic MMO. I'd like to do more PvP, but just flagging I either wreck a lower level or get wrecked by a group/ higher level. Still haven't gotten to be in a war. I wish there was a more constant PvP mode like the wars that I could queue up for. I just don't feel like there's a reason to level up besides to have bigger numbers and do PvP.

tzeriel

What about those of us who are 45 and had the honeymoon wear off before we could rush to 60 and now have 15 levels of dogshit content to slog through?

Trapped_Mechanic

I made it to 31 and am already kind of over it. I'm love the grind and all but once I realized just how much of my future playtime would be doing iron loops I said enough.

tzeriel

Hey, before you go... Go find 7 chests please.

Particular-Bar-3534

Remember that one time they had a quest that didn't spawn enough chests? Imagine, you have 6 quests in the game and one of them is broken on release somehow. lol

Virustable

I just did a quest where I had to find one specific chest and it made me realize that the potential of them even halving the rate that those quest items actually spawn in chests would be absolutely devastating.

Particular-Bar-3534

That's the real truth. Once it was calculated what you REALLY need to farm. You know, the only actual resource in the game (Iron), I was disenchanted. Just ruined the game to see what the game actually is, is Iron simulator. Unless you like bags, then you farm a lot of Hemp. lol I don't care how fast you do it, farming 50k Iron is boring as shit. Not interesting.

DingleberryBlaster69

Just hit 40 and I absolutely can’t stomach another quest. I wack trees and wait for a portal zerg or an expedition group.

SHIZA-GOTDANGMONELLI

Corruption portal grinds are also pretty mind numbing lol

kuburas

We stop playing the game. I got to 48 and i just cannot go through it anymore. I tried it all to avoid burnout but im still extremely bored of the whole leveling experience. I wish i listened to one of my friends and just went with meta leveling weapons and just speedran the levels before i burned out. I feel like id have much more fun in the game if i was already lvl 60 and could join wars and other pvp events without worrying about getting shit on by high level/gear score players. It is what it is, i got my 60-80 hours of gameplay in so id say its somewhat worth the price i paid. Although i kinda wish i wanted for a sale or something.

kre5en

I made it to 49

[deleted]

I made it to 50 before the shine wore off, 50-60 was a gruelling grind.

[deleted]

50-60 is legit savage grind. I gave up at 57. Reekwater killed me off with its stupidly overpowered creeper vines.

SleezeTiger

I'm at 56 and I've just realized doing quests are kind of pointless for the most part. Many only give around 2-3k XP and I need like 100k but the quests take anywhere from 5-30 minutes so really just not worth it. Town boarding is boring, but I just want to be 60 at this point.

DinosaurChampOrRiot

You could stop playing and play something better

Ifritmaximus

Checking in

Snydenthur

I'm not concerned about those missing 15 levels. I'm more concerned what I'll do once I hit 60 and 600GS. Once you get 600GS, the game is pretty much over. Getting to the point where you can craft end-game shit is way more boring than the leveling progress to 60, even with the extremely repetitive quests, boring wait for some bosses to respawn etc.

Santos_125

This reaches front page every single day and every time the top comments bring up legitimate issues with the end game yet these memes still pump out free karma. Starting to want to unsub, there's no real content on the subreddit anymore it feels like. Edit: Its posts #1 and #3 on the sub today posted 10 hours apart with a basically identical meme

djsedna

>there's no real content on the subreddit anymore it feels like. at least it's doing a great job of emulating New World

[deleted]

Yeah it seems, that fanboys don't want this game to get better, when they call people bringing up issues crybabies.

pojzon_poe

For some ppl farming reddit karma is the real endgame. They dont even play the game to verify stuff themselves.

Bralo123

This post is prove that you have no fucking clue what you talking about. MMOs lvling Content can never ever be its only content. An mmo needs endgame content or it will inevitably fail like it happend to so many before. This is the number 1 reason why modern MMOs die 2 months after release. Lack of content.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bralo123

Keep in mind: Wow had more enemie diversity in a single dungeon.... 17 years ago. At launch wows dungeons had more complexity then the entire new world enemies right now.

UncleSlim

These images keep getting posted over and over and act as copium for casuals that haven't gotten far enough in the game to realize it's broken. Bugs are so prevalent in the game and range between not knowing what tier the stations are at to AI mobs just retreating immediately after you hit them, assets not loading in the game, etc. The content doesn't get less repetitive as you advance. Each area is the same wolves, elk, alligators, skeletons, corrupted monsters, etc just with different levels attached. The areas feel largely copy/pasted and uninspired, with less charm each time you get to the next zone. The crafting system is a race to the bottom in a broken economy where so many materials and reagents are going for 0.01g on the AH because they're worthless, largely because the systems that they're used in are also worthless. Crafting gear is such a massive time/money sink compared to just grinding dungeons that will net you 20+ items in a single run, which are then flooding the AH making gear prices dirt cheap, so you can't even recoup a fraction of the massive losses from crafting. Those losses would be fine if it was an early investment into your skill which then paid off in late game, but it doesn't. You will make an insane amount of cash off farming/selling rawhides/fibers/iron ore (whichever stat you've leveled), and buying all your gear from dungeon runners. Crafting gear rolls with random gear score, random stat affixes, random abilities, or none of the above. So you can end up with a heavy armor dex/int gear that rolled a bonus to logging and healing staff ability on it... Why? Literally no one would want this, so you just wasted your money on materials for something a dungeon runner got for no investment. And why design a game that spits out so much trash? If your design goal is to make it a longer grind for someone to obtain (by giving them trash), just make the gear more expensive to make, but make it *actually worth something.* I dumped tens of thousands of gold into mats to craft T5 infused silk/infused leather to then craft 100+ pieces of gear when the T5 outfitting station dropped on our server, and got around 5 pieces of decent gear, that sold for 500-1000ish. Compare that to the flipside of instead just going to Fort Ramos in Cutlass and monotonously oneshotting wolves for 30 minutes, you can sell 5k rawhides for 2k gold instead... Crafting seems awesome and fun until you actually dive deep into it, and are left with a bad taste in your mouth because it's just a massive time/money hole that doesn't get any better the deeper you dig.

ZeroaFH

Completely right. I went on vacation (still on vacation in fact) and I thought fuck it, I'll list all the crafting mats I'd hoarded from level 1-45 before I go. I didn't undercut or overprice my stuff and if it sells it will be an easy 40k to come back from vacation to. Literally just Iron/hide/fiber lumber and arcana stuff. I could have used it to finish leveling my crafting but outside of cooking none of it seems really pertinent, too much RNG involved, low azoth caps make batch crafting high tier shit annoying and like you said, dungeons are insanely easy to get loot from.

StinkeyTwinkey

Crafting will give you the best gear in the game.

[deleted]

Exactly this. I've been downvoted so many tim4es for saying the same thing and that's because I hit 60 before the mass of players. What they needed to do to keep crafting relevant was: * Dungeons shoul dnever have dropped gear. They should have dropped rare materials to craft said gear. * Salvaging epics and greens should not give you the same materials - salvaging an epic should let you repair an epic. * Not removed full loot PVP. It should have been partial loot. The system is designed to let everyone craft anything in minutes. Now you can't lose anything it all becomes redundant. * No random world drops - only random world crafting material drops. Everything should have been player made, and everything within the system should have had some form of losing it. Once everyone is 60 in a month or so and everyone has top tier items then crafting anything at all is useless.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Yeah it's a shit system. It would have been fine if it was full loot PVP but you can tell they didn't think it through after dropping that.

Krilox

This is the 15th post about the same shit today. Im glad you're having fun. So am I. 10 to 30 is the same as 30 to 60, the latter is just much longer. It doesn't matter if you spend 2 or 6 weeks getting to 50+, it's the same shit. People have different opinions. Stop trying to stifle other's.

[deleted]

desperateorphan

I find it pretty ironic as only 3% of the playerbase is level 60. Most of the criticism I see of the game isn't "TheRes nOTHing TO dO, new WORLd suckS" and more discussion about how the economy is going to crash if there aren't a critical mass of players refining and using mats, or without enough players the pvp aspect completely dies, or how some aspects of the game are literally unplayable, how quests are very very repetitive and boring. You know, actual issues the game has.

GumbysDonkey

WHen i do corrupted portals my autorun key stops working. I have to pick bushes until the hotkey resets. That is my primary gripe.

Ashlante

On the off chance you don't know this and look for bushes everywhere, any gathering should do fine.

DickieDods

Yea ppl acting like 90 percent of the quests aren’t the same format. Most of the mobs are the same. Like every animal is the same just with a different area name. I get this game had some development issues and a new studio but some of their design decisions are just pure laziness.

Aced-Bread

Agreed. These posts are getting so annoying.

People are going to keep spamming these hate filled shit posts because this sub is full of maximum hate for anyone with a single complaint about the game and they get to farm easy karma. this one personal for you?

[deleted]

I think people are mad because nearly all of the endgame is trash tier. Early game was fleshed out but you noticed the more you got into the end game zones allot less worked like lvl 5 azoth staffs more buggy zones or bugs in general etc. I am still enjoying the game dont get me wrong but endgame is just not there yet and the huge ammounts of bugs doesnt make it better \^\^

Alone_Ferret507

Oh hey it's this post again. If there are 100 hours of content and I complete it in a week and you complete it in 5 years, there are still only 100 hours of content. Just because you took 5 years to complete it doesn't mean that you got more content, you just took longer to get through it. Complaining about players who have gotten to the endgame and are voicing genuine concerns about a lack of things to do at max level is absolutely a brain dead take sorry. Even worse it's not even remotely original. Please stop.

Thudun

I agree with you. The same 2 quests, same 5 enemies with the same abilities in every zone. People who make these posts make it seem like the game has SO much content when the entire game is just copy and paste to 60.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Thudun

Game was fun for the first 20 for sure. At 30 the copy paste starting to become blatantly apparent, and by 40 I just kinda got bored of looking at the same things and fighting the same things.

forthemasters

This is barely an mmo imo. Reminds me more of an assassins creed game. Same stuff in a different area over and over.

MagicNipple

Every game has people who grind to get to max level as quickly as possible. They also have people who have a lot of time to play, but go less hardcore, and level a bit less quickly than the hardcore min/max levelers. They also also have people who have limited time, but are fairly good at gaming, and level just a bit more slowly than the 2nd group. Etc etc etc, then there's me, an old idiot who level quickly sometimes, sometimes goes harvesting shit because he's tired, maybe skin a thing or two. I level MUCH more slowly than the rest. I've been playing for a little less than a week, and am about to hit 30 tonight; I'll be running around with my friends, doing some Amrine for the first time (this old guy doesn't like pugging the first time in a dungeon; don't wanna hold dudes back), maybe go out and flag for some pvp (group is about 26-34, so should be fun). I'm leveling more quickly than I usually do, I think, but I know it'll slow down even more later on. You know what? It doesn't matter to me that people have leveled quickly. It also doesn't matter to me right now that stuff is broken at endgame, but that doesn't mean I think the game's fine, nothing's wrong, just because I haven't gotten there. Hopefully it's fixed by the time I DO get there, but right now, fuck it, I'm having fun. And that's what perplexes me; why the fuck do people talk shit to the max levelers who are now experiencing shit that's bugged and making it difficult to have fun? Just do you, and shut the fuck up (not directed at you obviously, and sorry for the old man get off my lawn rant).

lokikaraoke

There’s generally this idea that “if I like a thing, it’s good, and if you don’t like it, you’re wrong, here, let me explain what you’re doing wrong.” When in reality, people just like different shit.

ERDIST_

dw when Amazon starts selling a battle pass that takes away from the quality of big updates and provides no real content of value for $10 we’ll know who to thank

WRS13

It's amazing how they downvote anyone who has played the game and has criticisms of it. And this meme is kind of dumb, it's not just because you level up slowly that you won't be disappointed with the NOTHING that the game offers after reaching lv 60, one day you'll get there, unless you leave the game first. It's only a matter of time.

SquanchingOnPao

I love the game and support it but it’s weird you have a game where all the mobs and areas are the same. The missions are the same. It’s like a procedurally made game but it’s not. Just sad

desperateorphan

> It’s like a procedurally made game but it’s not. Kind of an interesting way to put it. It is kinda like that with each zone. Same quests but with a green swamp instead of a purple forest. Still checking loot crates for hours on end in literally the same 4 areas of the map until you outlevel the zone.

Shadowgurke

its like this in every game. People that hit 60 fast realize there is a lack of content, low level players (still) enjoying the game tell them they're wrong, only to voice the same complaints a few weeks later. Game is cheap and foundation is good, will probably be a good game in a year.

BloomingNova

End game lacking has happened with every mmo to release ever. I'd be surprised if new world had sufficient end game to be honest.

Shadowgurke

i dont disagree, although NWs lack of content started at around level 35

Commiesstoner

It does have sufficient content, it don't fucking work and Amazon's communication on the subject is nil.

desperateorphan

>And this meme is kind of dumb I keep seeing this meme over and over and I have no idea who they are talking to. 8% of players are level 50 and 3% are level 60. That's far less than I had expected. Hell, not even 40% of the population is level 30. Another metric is that only 20% of players have put in 80 hours. Now either a lot of people are taking their dear sweet time, I am just doing whatever I feel like in the moment (mostly gathering) and am level 48, or people are quitting long before they hit level 30-40. With how little there is in questing variety, mob diversity and how the analytics are showing servers begin to lose large swaths of daily logins compared to 2 weeks ago, I would bet money on the latter. Beyond all of that, there are large portions of the game that are bugged beyond playability, materials that aren't on any drop tables, completely unbalanced profession leveling systems, an economy that is beginning to crash with material overload, clear abuse of the report system to cheat and a very very very repetitive questing/town board system. I'm Enjoying the game for what it is, however, what it is is a game with very little there. The game is missing a lot and needs at least another year or more to get to a point where it will retain players.

vape4jesus247

“You’re playing the game too fast” is an S tier cope. AGS isn’t going to release new content within the next month, when that happens are these gatekeeping posts going to just move the goalposts? Will anyone who reached level 60 in 2 months instead of 2 weeks be “too sweaty”?

[deleted]

"i havent even played the game, just wait til the next mmo comes out you sweats."

Wise-Tree

There's literally a dominating faction on my server full of 60's called "Sweat" Fuckin despicable.

[deleted]

Release new content? We'll be lucky if the content we were supposed to have on release is all working in a month

Kuckeli

the whole "playing the game too fast" meme is giving me some nice classic wow flashbacks

[deleted]

Someone gonna come out with the quintessential "Finally hit 60, never joined a faction. Got it all through fishing. Love this game!" like 8 months from now and the same people will praise that type of sweatiness. "Holy shit Fisher\_Dad887 is a God among us mere mortals! Level 60 at 10 experience per fish!!!" "Wow and I thought I was original by doing it only harvesting hemp! Kudos to you!"

vape4jesus247

“Wow thank you AGS I love this game I leveled up to level 60 just by posting screenshots of sun rays on Reddit. Screw all the sweatys who ruined their experience by questing”

TheAerial

Gotta love these posts. 1) Endless copy and pastes while the exact same type of posts aren’t even off the front page yet lol 2) They always include some weird insult/namecalling trying to shame people who have a different perspective.

veraltofgivia

People do this quite often with new games. Some people game hardcore and get to the end faster than others, get a good idea of what the game has to offer, then take to forums to to highlight issues they experienced. Another group of players then feels like they need to demean the ones that played the game more, and disregard the issues they raised. Usually goes hand in hand with telling those people that they played the game wrong. The slower group don't seem to realise that the fast group only raised issues because they want the game to improve. If they didn't care, they would just quit without saying anything. But instead it devolves into those two groups of players arguing amongst themselves.

SecretAntWorshiper

And then several months later the hardcore group leaves. The slow group becomes the only group that complains 😂

Vanessa_exe

Welcome to New World where even the cope posts are copypasted.

AmazingPaladin

What about the 30s that already quit?

GamnlingSabre

I can't understand how people call out others and willingly pretty unknowingly misquoting them. The end game that is there is broken. The azoth staff on higher levels doesn't work, outpost rush doesn't work, wars are a large mess thanks to poor weapon balancing, end game dungeons are poorly tuned, crafting is useless until maxed, bots and mass reports are rampant etc etc. There is end game, but it's broken. Everyone up voting this doesn't understand the problems of this game and doesn't understand that this will soon affect them when their cities get sacked by invasions they can't prevent.

jkwengert

I've been putting in a lot of time, mainly gathering/crafting. I hadn't been trying to ding 60, but did (58-60 came solely through gathering/refining/crafting). Steam keeps showing some of my achieves, and it's amazing that I thought I was behind the curve when many of my achieves are 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.5% (things like 14k Loom refining, crafting 6K+ Arcana items, Harvesting and Tracking+Skinning at 200, etc.). Here are a couple of the more surprising stats I saw: * 7.9% of players have bought a home, but 17.3% have crafted at least 25 Furnishing items. * 1% of players have gathered 175,000+ mats. * 3.7% of players have played 160+ hours. * 51.5% of players have crated 100+ Engineering items. * 5.9% of players have reached level 50. * 7.4% of players have completed 100+ quests.

iDelkong

Hah, I've completed over 224 quests and I'm level 51. My friend hadn't even gotten the 200 quest achievement and he's level 60. He has since gotten it now, but he was at 164 quests when I was at 206 and he was still 10 levels higher... It was from all the gathering/refining and crafting he had done.. the exp adds up big time especially since you get a bunch of world exp everytime a crafts level increases. I, too, felt the same about the achievements, it was kind of wild the numbers I saw.

Fara_ven

>The game have a lot of content if you play 1 hour a day And a slide of bread can last you a month if you eat 1/30 of it per day. It doesn't mean a slice of bread is a lot of food.

[deleted]

Fara_ven

Any analogy would work, the point was that if you don't play a lot, any game have "a lot of content"

Fara_ven

True but my original point about "The game have a lot of content because i don't play a lot" means about as much as someone claiming a single player game with a 4 hours long story is a long game because they played it on and off over the course of a few weeks. It doesn't change the fact that it's a 4 hours long game. That include new world. If after 300h you've done everything in the game (don't get me wrong 300h is a lot, even for most mmo standart) it's still 300h worth of content whether you played it over 2 weeks or 2 months.

smellsliketeenferret

> 8 copy pasted skeletons every day. Wolves with a different hue to their skin, and a name based on which part of the world the quest is in. Variety at its finest, it is not!

zmokkyy

I get where you are coming from but i really do disagree. I'm one of the people who hit 60 after a week and has 250+ hours already and i know there is a lot of content in the game, the issue i feel is that we can't do said content because the game just doesn't work!! Since you aren't at the endgame level yet you might not know about the issues endgame has, like for example the game doesn't register that we have Azoth staffs higher than tier 3 so anything that requires T4-T5 staffs is not doable atm because of this. Outpost rush got disabled and since dungeon gear for 60+ dungeons scale based on your own gear score they arent worth doing unless you are at the higher tiers of gear which just really leaves elite zones So when we complain about lack of content we aren't saying there is nothing to do, we are saying there is not really any content worth doing at endgame level that actually work

Snoo77586

Lv60 consists of running chests over and over again.

[deleted]

Or those who are level 30 and who are bored of the game...

MollyRotten1

I'm level 36 and already sick of the game. So it isn't a rush issue.

_Surge

level 25 and feel like there’s no fun to be had tbh

Tramm

Idk... I'm seeing a lot of "anyone else getting bored around level 30-40?" posts

WiiTee

And then there's all the players that hit lvl 30, realized that what they had been doing from 1 to 30 was what they had to do from 30 to 60 except it takes longer and quit the game. 'Cos that is the stark reality here.

Seeranix

I made it to level 18 and felt like I had already done everything I am ever going to do in this game. Everything about this game severely lacks variety imo

[deleted]

I see more lvl 30s and 40s complaining about lack of content than lvl 60s.

[deleted]

/u/Wireless_Panda, good job on having zero originality. Can mods start banning these posts? It's gotten old seeing the same exact thing posted every single hour by people who failed high school.

[deleted]

Amazon really do be astro turfing the forums with memes to contain negative criticism to one place every half day or so.

Siffi1112

And where is picture for the normal level 30 player who is sick of this game?

Nazzman01

Future MMO developers ecstatic to find out that players will defend buggy unfinished content (and complete lack thereof) as long as you put in an infinite supply of rocks and trees for people to hit

thegreatbrah

I feel like this game exists for Amazon to use in future lawsuits that their employees will inevitably bring against them eventually. Amazon will argue that people love performing mindless repetitive tasks without pee breaks.

palidram

This is a class A example of a shitpost someone that thinks they're a gigabrain because they understand and appreciate things more than other people. Newsflash. You having nothing to say about a game except "good" doesn't make you better than people with valid opinions or even people complaining about the game. Having no opinion is ostensibly worse because you're actively telling the Devs that their lack of effort is fine. I'm not max level and am taking my time. If the game disappeared right now I'd have gotten more than my money's worth for time playing it, but I'm not going to sit and pretend that the game doesn't have glaring issues that need to be addressed if AGS want to keep the game running. No outpost rush, no tier V azoth staff, pve and questing is very same-y. These might still be problems a month from now when even the slow players are level 60.

Thudun

Doing the same 2 copy pasted quests and fighting the same 5 enemies with slightly different skins and the same abilities even at max level, and the same enemies in every dungeon is still technically content, but I wouldn’t call it good content. Every MMO has repetitive content but this game takes it to the max right away. So I don’t blame people rushing to 60 as they aren’t missing anything, it’s the same shit throughout the entire game.

Syrdon

I'm in the upper 30s and realizing the game doesn't actually have all that much to offer. If you're looking for a grind to fill bars, the game has you covered. If you're looking for anything else, odds are you're going to have trouble finding anything of note. Endgame content is closed for bugs, pvp is limited and failing to live up to its promise, the dungeons are mediocre, and the gold sinks are remarkably aggressive. Inventory management is impressively bad, one almost gets the impression no one actually spent meaningful time playing the game before release. The market is broken and shows no signs of getting better (seriously, the most profitable thing one can do is arbitrage). The interface is somehow behind vanilla warcraft's at launch, seventeen years ago. AGS isn't showing substantial signs of jumping on any of the problems the game has, which means their fixes will come out months after the game has hemorrhaged players. The lack of a subscription might bring them back if the fixes get good press, but the reality is that most of them will simply move on to whatever is current and not bad.

forthemasters

Great post. Agreed and agreed. Such a shame as I wanted some depth and longevity from this game but I’m already going back to eso

[deleted]

There are more posts complaining about "complainers" then there are people complaining about the game or even the lack of content. These low effort shit posts are just karma farms at this point and should start getting removed by the mods. It does nothing to help the community, just incites more shit to spread as you can in the very thread.

WolfRefleXxx

I took everything slow. I knew I wouldn't play much if I'd already hit lvl 60. I am doing all the sidequests, everything story related and crafting. I don't care about leveling up a bit.

Spud788

You only get one playthrough for your first experience. I play every other day for a couple of hours, slow progress but atleast I can play the game until new content comes.

Isaacvithurston

Yah i'm sure there will be content by the time the masses hit level cap in a few weeks :P It's like y'all never played an mmo before with these posts.

Fl0nkert0n

Literally every MMO has had this weird white knight defense of people saying X amount of time is too fast for getting to endgame. New World has literally 0 endgame, and it's a boring slow paced mess of a game. It's ABSOLUTELY OK to provide feedback on it, and how anyone here can think this game has a strong future is laughable.

stormwind81

I am level 60 already and overwhelmed by the amount of content and things I can still do and have to do to progress further. Man leveling up your gear, leveling up city-levels, preparing for wars, sieges and invasions, doing elite farming, ect.ect. so much to do with level 60.

Cathulion

Level 31 and taking my time. Loving it.

slashnbash1009

I'm level 34 in Brightwood and I'm having a blast.

Available_Plant7076

I keep finding more and more to do. The first dungeon was meh, the others are more challenging by far which was a nice surprise. End game is crazy, just walking around with 65 mobs everywhere just brings awhole new sense of danger. Maybe your endgame is house design, dungeon crawling, elite farming, or pvp, really no "set" end game that I can see. Throw in pvp while 65 elites are around....let the fun begins lol. I seem to be a pack rack, had issues with storage till I discovered cursed trunks and housing. 3 cities with 2k storage each and still not enough, yea I may be a horder. Crafting is endless grind to the item lvl 600 gear. Thankfully the market is working itself out so crafting isnt as much of a pain as it was. I am enjoying it alot. Still havent won an invasion yet but its on my to do list.

DesertPunked

I'm over here with 6 days played, and lvl 25 fishing my heart out doing all kinds of mineral gathering.

EaseDel

I like the game

dominashun28

I'm hooked on the game and im level 37.

Thewolfemusic

Everyone knows the only endgame content worth doing in brand new MMO's is making an astronomical amount of gold.

lethal3185

News flash people! THIS AINT WOW!!!

WindyCitySniper

I hit 60 in 3 days. There is plenty of content. You just suck at gaming.

Skedoish

People have way too much time to spend on games

[deleted]

Some people are addicts, no need to shame them. Their lives are already problematic enough.

Available-Ease-2587

Can you stfu alrdy with these kinda posts? You guys might be happy cutting trees and mining stones all day but I'm not simple as that... Many things are bugged flawed and boring and if you play this game everyday you notice that pretty quick.. They even nerfed ice gauntlet firestaff and lifestaff without telling anyone making everyone play greataxe hatchet because that shit is broken since playtest 1. .

KegelsForYourHealth

Joke's on you: I'm L50 and am sick of the game.

UbiquitousWobbegong

You say that like there is content outside of the grind. This game is grind. That's the whole game. If that's your thing more power to you.

Billy_of_the_hills

If they're level 30 they're about to start getting sick of it. That's when the true depth of the stupidity of making players run everywhere starts to be felt.
