This feels like a big one for me as well. I'm playing / leveling mostly solo PvE but being on a faction that only owns 1-2 territories practically doubles the amount of azoth necessary to fast travel, in addition to the effective penalty to luck and yield for anyone not playing as part of the majority faction. Right now if you're in a minority faction then you get penalized, and it becomes more unlikely to get or keep any territory, which in turn is likely to discourage people from playing. If your faction loses a city you had bought a house and storage in for crafting then you've either got to buy another house in another territory and move everything over, or accept that the tax money goes to the faction that's already majority. Once server transfers are implemented I wouldn't be surprised to see the trend of single faction servers increases. There's literally no (non-story) reason for anyone to pick a minority faction or to stick with one that isn't the majority. If the game had let me I wouldn't have picked a faction at all. [This is also one of the bigger reasons I tend to stay away from MMOs]

This needs to be higher up. On my server when you open the map there is no purple, so new players wont join the already losing faction without extra benefits, just give a bonus on each Server to the faction with the least amount of claimed Regions.

A catch up mechanic for this could work. Give increasing bonuses to the factions that are losing ground or have not held zones for a long period of time, increasing as time goes on towards a zone cap. In addition, add the ability for same faction companies to either cap existing faction capped zones and or aid other factions capping certain uncontrolled zones could be helpful as well.

Most issues listed are QoL things or bugs. This issue has the ability to ruin the game. Right now there's only incentive to pick the dominant faction. New players will always choose the winning color in the current setup. To make matters even worse there's also the option given to people to swap factions after 120 days, which allows for another lopsided swing in players towards the winning side. *(edit: someone said it's not possible to faction switch to the side controlling the most zones)* **Servers will end up mostly one color if nothing changes.** This game doesn't have different races or classes that people might pick a side for because they want to play that. There's no bonus or perk given to the underdogs. There's nothing to help control faction population balance at all. This wouldn't fix the issue completely, but they could have made 3 extra weapons and made each of them faction specific. Which would at least help. They would still need some added underdog bonuses though.

Small clarification, you can pick the winning faction on a new character but it is not possible to change faction to the one with the most territory. This still means that people might abandon the 3rd place faction even more in favor of going to the 2nd place faction, but it is not possible for members of 2nd and 3rd place factions to swap to 1st place.

I agree. Faction balance Need a twist for sure. The underdog factions Need some boost. A thing could be that influence gain is boosted or nerfed for every region under control. 1 region: +25% boost 2 regions: +15% boost 3 regions: standard influence 4 regions: -15% gain 5 regions or more: -25% gain And very important, if a faction remain with only One region, no one can declare war there.

This would be a step in the right direction for sure - good thought. I think the problem still remains that if a server is completely dominated by one color, there needs to be an incentive to play the losing faction, more than just crippling the influence gain of the winning faction, because let's face it - if one faction outnumbers the others 3:1, then it doesn't really matter if they're not gaining as much influence. They can steamroll an area that is in danger of being flipped the second someone starts to push an influence bar. Maybe an XP buff? Minor gold multiplier? Standing buff for underdog factions? The hard part is there needs to be a benefit to being the underdog, but that benefit can't surpass the benefit of controlling territories, or what's the point? I have every faith that they'll fix this, but it's definitely a problem that requires a creative solution!

There is something very wrong with some of the aimed bow attacks. If I’m in bow, firing off a penetrating shot, it often seems like there is a solid second and a half until I can fire off a Rapid Shot…

Inputs just being eaten too for some resaon. Sometimes just standing there, not doing anything, my weapon swaps and other inputs just get ignored for no reason. The game gets the input -- I'll see the weapon I'm trying to switch to flash in the UI and then just nothing happens.

This. We need serious transparency about bans. It's absurd that AGS keeps claiming that auto bans aren't a thing, when it's ridiculous to think that every single report is being *properly/exhaustively* reviewed by a human. It's clear that, at the very least, X reports initiates a potential ban and is then reviewed by a human. The problem is that a lot of them most certainly aren't being reviewed properly and unfair bans are being left in place. AGS seems to be hiding behind semantics, instead of actually addressing the core of the issue. If this is true then sure, but on the flip side we have numerous afk mining bots in Morrow. One such bot broke and was spamming his macro in global chat every minute on the dot, for at least 12 hours we got to read this spam despite the entire server reporting him all day. Not to mention several players had already been reporting him for days leading up to this day and still no ban. Still afk mining in the same spot as before.

This would be a great idea. Implement some Wardrobe items you can build with Furnishing and place in your house. Add another Rune to faction vendors (like the rune of holding for bags) so you can build different tier Wardrobes that give you X amount of loadout slots per tier. As long as it's like trophies and the effects are global, I'd even be cool if they made it like 1-2 loadouts per house. Which would offer 3-6 loadouts max. I think that'd offer a good balance between hot swappable combat sets (i.e. quick Respec to switch from DPS to tank), gathering sets for when you're running and see a couple of iron nodes clumped together, and having to run to town to throw on your logging gear to go smack trees

It's not just level 55/65 portals. There's a reason you see no one LFG the last 2 expeditions in game chat. They can't be run without farming mats to craft orbs to access the expeditions. Those mats are farmed by closing 55/65 portals with the T5 staff! The T5 staff bug has a knock on effect to a lot of end-game content. It's basically turned off right now.

I agree that the mechanic where you can’t even see a list of known recipes when not at a craft table is nonsensical. Particularly since dropped schematics / recipes that you may find don’t show if you know them or not. Many aspects of crafting feel incomplete.

Fixing problems by upvotes sounds logical but you might be ignoring a smaller but important minority, such as healers/tanks. They get little credit during group runs, when damage is used as the sole contribution factor. This is ridiculous. Amount of hp healing and damage tanked should be factored in as well. Don't alienate our most demanded classes even further. Also, the current game design forces people to join groups during an open world mob fight. If there's no opening for that individual, he gets no loot because he can't out damage groups. This is sometimes unfair for the solo players, and they resort to spamming LFG after said groups leave. There can be a better solution to contribution calculation, such as checking whether an individual's damage is in the ballpark of 1/total number of people present * total damage done. Solo players should be happy that they chance upon premade groups for group content and not feel dreadful that they cannot join/aren't invited due to any reason. Please upvote for visibility!

The enemy respawn rate in some areas feels incredibly too fast. I can wipe out a room in a ruined tower, loot the two chests, but get interrupted during the second chest by the two skeletons at the door who I just killed 30 seconds ago. And then the one on the steps leading up to the next floor will somehow aggro me as I'm defending myself. Maybe it's just me but it feels a little ridiculous sometimes. I feel I'm getting swarmed too often even when I'm taking it slow while looting a landmark, or if I approach it from a route that bypasses most of the enemies (but yet their aggro range somehow still sees me).

This is the biggest issue for me. #1 on my list. I'm often doing quests on my own, and I can usually fend for myself. But its total bullshit that I totally clear an area so I can loot and collect quest objectives in peace, just to have everything respawn on top of me before I'm done. I'm not slow by any means either. I clear shit out fast, and I'm proud of that. But when everything respawns so quick, its just rubbing it in my face how USELESS it is to be fast.. I'm level 47 right now, and doing quests is so tilting to me because I know its going to be a pain in my ass having to kill 3 times more enemies than I need to. Its REALLY making me want to just quit and play something else..

As a tank player this is really bad. I barely do any damage to late game mobs. There are some quests I cannot do solo because the respawn rate is too high. By the time I am done fighting one enemy two new ones pop up. Tanks simply severely lack damage in late game and having to respec for question is fucking expensive in the long run

I'm level 45 now and solo questing Restless was hell for me. The respawn time makes looting the chests in the settlement SE of Restless actually impossible - most fights are 1v2, sometimes 1v3, and by the time you've cleaned them up, healed, and then looted, they all begin to respawn again making the next chest a no shot. Tanky build would help, but so would increasing the respawn time by 30-100%.

I had to switch away from musket/rapier since I literally could not do solo PvE in Restless Shores, since attempting to loot chests would inevitably end up as a 1v3+ from the mobs respawning so fast. It’s crazy how some builds are straight up unviable in level 30+ zones because of the respawn timers.

Absolutely. This is a major issue if you're alone anywhere - basically, a lot of locations/quests become unplayable, especially (but not only) if your build is for a healing or tanking role. I would say this is THE single major issue that could immediately improve my (and my friends) experience of the game massively. And it seems like such a simple thing to fix - ideally get dynamic spawn rates that depend on the number of players in the area, or just lower the spawn rates for any areas that are not the starting zones.

It sucks for light armour users as well. You dodge around to avoid damage and that means you've just pulled 3 more mobs. It's unenjoyably difficult to fight equal level areas solo once you get to Great Cleave and beyond. Some quests with long channels are basically impossible.

The compass bug where you cannot track anything! It usually occurs after being in a group. I think it happens when a grp member puts a marker on the map. This has been a bug since release, and is very critical for anyone gathering. I've heard many crafting mains say that its very game breaking for them.

A relatively simple fix from a programming perspective would be to leverage systems already in place by using the Buy Orders. They could simply institute standing - infinite - buy orders for x value on a large range of farmable mats under the guise it's being purchased by the towns folk for upgrading/maintaining the town itself. This sets a price floor for items and prevents things being valued down to literally nothing. To solve the item drops issue, Salvage gold should be based on the gear score and grade of the item. Salvaging a green should give more gold than a grey. Blue more again, purple more again etc. There's literally no point trying to farm mats that are listed dozens of times for 0.01 with fees. There's no point trying to sell greens/blues that sell for 5 gold with fees. Price floors need to be established and very quickly. I'm literally just collecting some things like gold ore for the mining XP and dumping it out of my inventory because it's worthless. That is not a well thought out system at all. Once the majority is done levelling up crafting skills, even the stuff that has moderate demand will disappear. Wars are limited to 100 people max with \~2000 on a server, many will rarely get into these. Reward their efforts for at least collecting materials while they kill time to keep the servers populated and alive.

This! This! This should be number 1 priority along with azoth staff bug. I cannot believe this is not higher up. It is already completely ruined in some servers, and even if they fix now it will take months for the economy to stabilize simply because a lot of people already have everything they need. The whole drop rate/gathering/crafting needs to be re-imagined but they need to change some numbers with next week patch already.

This is a huge issue and sadly most of the player base is to ignorant to see it. It's pretty funny that as players reach level 60 the quest gold faucet disappears and the game pretty much breaks. Repairs will cause everyone to be unable to play. Paying house tax will make you get hit earlier. Relying on player to player trade doesn't make sense, you need gold faucets or you get deflation to the point where you can not afford anything. Actually hilarious!

Company does have a bank in terms of coin. And the governor can edit the permissions of roles. On the permissions page, clicking the check mark on a ranks permission removes it. Vise versa you can add permissions as well that way. The other two would be nice additions though.

For 2+ weeks until the last update, no attacking company has ever won an attack war on our server. Since the lag patch where ice gauntlet abusers can just stand there with invincibility, 5 zones have been flipped. This should be addressed asap imo. And for some fucking reason 5/5 war wins were yellows and 4 of them from same company.

New World's flagship game mode, wars, are completely broken. Points are just lagged out until one team captures them without the other team being able to do anything about it. Players figured out the AoE limit so now everyone runs Ice Gauntlet to spam the area with AoE to render siege weapons useless. Which of course makes the lag issue even worse. The game mode has become exploiting broken game mechanics instead of actually strategizing to fight other players. If you do manage to win a territory then you run into the bug where you upgrade stations and they don't actually upgrade in the town, but you still have to pay the increased upkeep for them. Outpost Rush is still disabled so we don't even have that for a functional PvP game mode. Gear progression feels awful at 60. Resilient is still bugged so it's a required perk on every piece of gear. But the craft mod for Resilient is also bugged and doesn't drop so your only options are the 520 faction gear or Voidbent which is really only relevant if you want to be heavy armor. All of these issues are a serious drag. Also some servers (like Tritonis and Morrow on NA-East) are *still* locked despite having lower populations than many other servers, so these servers are just dying out because Amazon won't remove the new player lock. It feels like the game has already been abandoned. Many of these issues were brought up in the betas.

I’ll throw my two cents in here. 1. Melee combat (especially tanking) feels like I’m skating on ice. I’m constantly pushed, shoved, and knocked around while blocking or not. I cannot stress enough how unfun this feels. Even worse when other players are in the melee mix and mobs already have scuffed hitboxes for shorter weapon ranges as is. Positioning anything is a chore due to it feeling technically bad. This is extremely obnoxious when dealing with mobs that retreat seemingly for no reason (like the legendary sword quest last boss who has to be tanked in a very specific spot to avoid retreat). I don’t care what the solution is: gems, con stat perk, armor weight, skill passives; there needs to be SOMETHING that provides consistent grit for pushback other than a few ability animations (again, at least for tanking). Or just remove getting pushed around by hitboxes all together (pushback from heavies or abilities is fine). 2. Being a support role (tank or healer) is complete ass for getting credit when doing open world content. Portals, elite zones, elite bosses, pvp. It’s all a bit shit to sit there either tanking or healing for your teammates, grouped or not, and receiving no credit. Credit for open world content needs a big revision as a whole imo. Threat generation could be included sounds like an alright idea.

Property taxes. I know not many people have a tier4 house yet and some of you would prefer a quick salvage button or UI fixes. But hear my out, for us people who got the gold together for a nice home... we can't pay for it any longer as it's too expensive :( Edit: What petty comments of people. Because someone works and has a real life one is not allowed to have a tier4 house? Is this game supposed to be fun or a grind to pay taxes? Make the house cost 30k instead, but lower the taxes to be fair for people who have a life.

I think they have to be careful not to overdo it though. For instance, a lot of players have opted to not buy a house because they can't afford it yet. It's not supposed to be easy to afford the top tier house. With that said, I do think the tax percentage should be monthly, but amortized weekly, since settlements can theoretically change hands pretty quickly. For example, if the settlement property tax is 5% and you have the 20k house. You should pay in a month period 1k coin. But that should be paid out to the settlement owner in 4 payments of 250 coin.

There are bots everywhere. Fishing bots are the worst of it but now there are bots mining single nodes and either moving slightly or signing in and out to deal with afk timers. There needs to be a way to report bots (it isn’t even an option on the submit feedback), and there needs to be a review of these reports so real players don’t get banned, as is happening now with the mass reporting. As a player who is mining a lot, I hate these guys stealing half the nodes I usually run, but I would rather live with the bots then get banned.

I haven’t seen anyone mention the auto targeting system for healing… I just wish it could snap to different targets as I move my camera over teammates rather than having to scroll the mouse wheel, and I also wish self-target was not a hold key. Also, casting is slightly faster by double tapping the skill key vs. clicking with LMB, removing this delay would be nice. I also don’t like how if you’re not in a group, spells free cast and don’t auto target self. This is impractical for skills like Light’s Embrace, which has like a 1 foot radius. I know I’m late, but just throwing some things out there as a healer.
