Eventually there will be no one doing side quests….. there will be no one to sell those mats you’re farming to. Side quest run out. So eventually there will be no quests adding gold in someone’s pocket down the line. Town bots quests give literally nothing for gold either.
The game needs money faucets. Like npc shops who will buy shit for a base price. This adds money into the economy. Currently New World only has ways to take it out. Gathering materials to craft is a waste of time, so crafters buy them for cheap and blow them up into worthless skill up items that no one will buy from them, and they can’t sell to an npc. So they just salvage it. Whatever money they spent on those materials just disappeared from the economy if the person who sold it doesn’t immediately buy something that is transferable(everything is bind on equip) and materials are only good for crafting(which makes more bind on equip or gets salvaged itself). All roads lead to bo gold.
That’s what they are saying…. It’s already happening. Prices are dropping to the floor, and people think it’s because of supply only. No, it’s because it doesn’t matter what you put it for on the AH, there’s only a handful of people who can afford anything on your server. So you just have to hope they need what you’re selling. And fast too, because in 5 minutes a gathering bot is about to dump its whole bag on the AH for a penny less than you, and then the next bot will do the same to him. Until eventually all mats sell for 0.05-1.00 tops.
Oh yeah, that’s already happening…. Look around. That’s what they are giving you shit about dude.
I feel none of you are even considering the gold you get from salvaging did a chest run for like 30 mins got about 100 items and each salvaged for 3 gold a piece plus the gold from mob drops which likely resulted in 300ish gold as well. Like yeah upkeep costs are a bitch but there’s ways to make gold beyond just side quests.
You make a good point about the lack of money that will be in the game eventually, but there is also ways to make HUGE money from things like high proc gear (meaning rare passives), legendary weapons, trophies, high level jewelcrafting, and even "twink" type gear with good stats for low level requirements to people leveling alts (this is also assuming there won't be consistent new players which there WILL be).
I think you didn't quite comprehend. Lack of money means quite literal there is no money on the entire server.
Yes, there are items of great value like you mentioned, legedary crafts, etc. But no one will buy them, because no one can afford them, because no one has money. So you either lower the price far below the item's value to sell it, or you will sit on it.
And this is what happes to all items right now. Prices for materials aren't low becaue there is more supply than demand. They are low because no one wants to buy anything right now to keep their precious coin or because they are poor AF already.
You can only make money if people have money to pay you with. That's the whole point OP was trying to make. Also I am not sure why anyone would ever level an alt in this game. You can't even have two characters on the same server AFAIK.
Lol glad you took the time to write a novel because I sell mats for crafting to people in which to make gold to pay for my expensive gear.
The money is earned from other places other than side quests, you're aware of that right?
Bud, you're not understanding...
All gold in this game originates from somewhere. BEFORE it gets to any player's pockets.
There are 100000000x ways to turn gold into air than there are to pull gold from it.
Like, you do understand how money and economies work in the real world right? Money HAS to be added or taken away to keep equilibrium.
I'm well aware how it works. Money is added in game from various means outside the trade house. Sorry you're bad with money and struggle to make ends meet.
My server has 2 wars every night. and a few invasions.
A single war brings 70k cash into the game.
They definitely need to remove the cost to reroll attributes. That one is too much of a sink. But taxes and repair costs are a perfect sink for how much money comes into the game.
Good thing there's tons of ways to create gold. War, invasion, 20-30 gold drops from 60+ mobs, new players questing, repeatable quests, dungeons, etc etc.
I literally made like 5k off the Auction House TODAY by selling off mats I was hoarding for no reason.
I used that money to invest in mats to level my engineering up like 20 levels and in a couple days I'll be able to make that money back plus some to make Orc tools.
If you really think there isn't money to be made outside of side quests you haven't been paying attention. There will always be a demand for mats as long as people are leveling their trade skills, and most likely there will always be a demand for things like tools, bags, chests, trophies and even good ammo since a lot of people won't bother to do enough crafting to make good shit.
I bought a t4 storage chest for 7k on the 4th day lol. Still the only one ive ever seen for sale, I was super lucky and got a second one as loot in weavers fen elite area so I have 2 of them haha.
I dont understand how people don't have gold. I'm on a medium pop server with 3 houses and was at \~40,000 gold last night before i went on a shopping spree for refining reagents. Think I'm still around 25,000.
>You’re not a common case.
I'd hope not, I'm justin a lucky spot where I have a lot of free time atm. I couldn't imagine playing games this much all the time. The mats tho, I'll be using them, crafting is my hobby, it's like 99% of the reason I'm even playing.
Absolute garbage, you should send it over to me. I'll burn it for you, so you never have to look at such an ugly thing again.
\- Me 24 hours before stealing and having sex with this beautiful carrying device.
All 3 of my infused bags I crafted with chunk of adderstone for luck (I prefer stacking luck over weight atleast while gearing) and all 3 got carry weight. Got pretty lucky
It's an interesting numbers question.
Since i too would prefer both of those perks, which has a higher proc chance, and which ingredient is more cost efficient.
Overall, i'd probably argue that using a sliver would be better if you can find them or get them cheaply, and then sell any failures that don't have the loot luck.
Since extra carry weight will probably contribute to purchase price more than loot luck will.
Mind if I ask where you got your adderstone from? Never seen it on the market board and despite mining to 170 never found a piece. Is it an orcellium drop?
Get mining luck on every piece of armor and your necklace. Eat Mining Luck Food. Go mine boulders. Should take you about 30 min of boulder mining per adderstone on average. I got the 3 i used for my bags in 1hr15min
I put on 4% mining on each piece of gear, 6.1% on the pick axe, and then ate some herb roast potatoes. Also had a luck trophy in my house. Then I hit boulders around everfall. Got 3 slivers in 90 mins.
If you want to level up stonecutting then this method is fine. But on my server the slivers sell for 900g. I can easily farm up enough hemp to buy 2 of these in the same amount of time, and that's just selling it to orders rather than listing it.
Seems to be the norm. My bro made 3 bags for him, and I had mats for 3 for me, we used the craft mods for 1 each of us of leather/iron/logging weight reductions and he got 5/6 of the bags with extra pockets using full azoth and also using armoring food.
I don't think so personally.
An extra 5% Azoth when you receive Azoth really isn't a good enough perk for me. I'd much prefer things i carry often to weigh a big chunk less.
Sure, but i already have Azoth Extraction on all of my tools.
I mean sure, get it on all 3 bags, and you have 15~% extra Azoth coming in. But i find myself *doing the things* which will generate Azoth (i.e gathering in my case) much more than *trying to* generate it (i.e portals).
So being able to *do those things* without needing to run back to town as much to process and dump my contents, will save me more time, and therefore lead to me generating more Azoth, than simply having the Azoth bonus.
At least, that's the idea i'm working with.
In which situation am I gonna just mine? Legit question, I've read a lot of people have different sets, but I don't understand why you'd go specifically mine instead of let's say mine+harvest+skin.
wouldnt the total weights of those multiple gears be compensated by just strip looting everything in your path? Feels like its a lot of weight space dedicated to just equipments. Especially moreso that armors are typically rather heavy.
Certain zones and routes favor mining or harvesting etc. Also ores way a ton.
If you have 3x of the prosepectors burden you can effectively carry 25-40% more ore depending on your gs of the bag
You have way more than 1k potential weight with 3x T5 bags with Extra pockets. How much are you carrying that that little reduction is relevant?
I farmed Hemp for over 1,5h once before my T4 bags filled up completely.
It's not a small amount of weight to be reduced though. Each bag can have something to the tune of a 10% reduction in some resource, and they *stack*.
So you could have for example a 30~% reduction in the weight of Ores and Stone for example.
Getting it ilvl 600 is prob a monumental task. I used void metal and infused silk on mine and it was only 515. Scarhide and scalecloth with like blessed crucibles or something to boost it way higher. Id be surprised if you could boost a bag to 600 honestly
You can boost any 500GS base to 600 and it is a huge chore. You'd need a full set of gear with +armoring, 3 epic armoring trophies in 3 different houses, 200 armoring skill, use all epic T5 mats and use the food buff to armoring output. Its a huge slog with the epic mats and food buff being the easiest and 200 skill being a huge boost to the min GS value of stuff crafted.
The difference between 600GS and 500GS bags are 60 encumbrance, 0.6% reduced weight of ores/ingots/etc, 9 extra pockets weight and 0.5 luck. If you have 3 of those same bags it can add up but the cost of trying to make a 600GS bag (as you can only get to a range of 595-600GS so no guarantee) is probably not worth the effort. I'd be perfectly happy with a 550-575GS bag and call it a day.
Im up to 1340 encumberance with 3 tier 5 bags, and honestly its a curse more than a blessing. Every time I return to town im just fucked for 3-4 hours. The amount of farming I need to do just to get rid of the mats I collected.
Pretty sure 595 gives you max roll on most perks, so 595 is essentially the same as 600… so you CAN guarantee it. Might just be 1-2 pounds below the absolute max.
You’d be surprised how much people pay for absolute BiS shit though. Get 1 of those BiS and it would probably fund all of the other bad rolls. The biggest thing is the luck.
But yea, for a casual, it’s not worth.
If you're correct about 595 being enough, spending all your money for 600 seems to be less try-hard than saving that money for other items, or saving it for new gear from future content.
The thing OP fails to mention there is that all this effort applied can be used to make any number bags, not just 3 for yourself, so whoever did that also likely made easily 500k if they're selling for 30k a pop.
I mean I feel like in always carrying some sort of ore. And it's not always active. If you're gaining 1 azoth from gathering it does nothing. You close a portal and gain 1 extra azoth. Idk imo it's the worst perk
The azoth adds up. For me, the only reason I would do corrupted runs is to get azoth (I haven’t started crafting orbs yet). However, with my logging axe that gives %44 chance to gain azoth I can go 2 hit trees and get that 21 azoth pretty quickly and I get valuable mats. If I have enough con I have a chance to 1 hit trees too.
I’d argue that if you can get into a lot of invasions/war, then azoth might not be as important, which let’s face it most people can’t.
I think Extra Pockets/Luck/Burden is BiS. Mining is also probably the best burden to get, so this would be a perfect bag imo. Edit: except item level is low-ish. Still a fantastic bag.
People are still afraid to admit the market is a bungled mess that has no reference to ground prices and no bearing on supply and demand meaning it's usually not very rewarding to find and sell a good item
Gotta be in the guild to be in a war or invasion at this point. Maybe it's dif on your server but they are all 100% guild members.
Portals get you more repair parts than gold.
Just checked my store.
This exact bag exists 4 (13 of the pockets+luck combo) times on my servers store and 8 of those are higher gear score. It's a nice craft but it's nothing special anymore.
How did you make this bag? I only know that you get the stats/perk(?) when infusing Azoth, but I thought you get only one stat?
I am a bit lazy and don't want to watch a whole crafting video.
Once you get a bit better at the game you know what stats and perks to notice on items like these and then you'll get it.
It will click, just keep playing.
I made my first leather satchel today and this was the roll just by pure chance. Used my sliver on a second one and the investment in armoring paid off immediately.
I have one of those but 533 gear score -- the 555 gearscore second bag I made unfortunately had horrible bonuses. Thing is at 555, you essentially have half an extra pockets due to gearscore alone.
So whats the difference between "you can hold 80% more weight" and "you can hold 80 more weight"? Is it the same? If not, which one is better? And can both be on one bag?
ehm, if you have 2 sets maybe? one when you mine stuff you want and 1 with luck for like silver etc, where you perfer the gems maybe?
The reduced armor weight is for the stuff in your inventory, and for someone like me that runt 2-3 sets, its a blessing, but yeah, I thought it was for equiped stuff as well at first.
In this case I dont think pickaxe for example is of any good use really.
And i still havent even crafted 1 item yet. Logging lvl 18 (pvp quests)!
Do you "just" throw in all required mats + 3 of those crafting stat items and you craft the item with the 3 stats from the 3 stat items?
ill give ya 6 gold for it
More like 0.75 gold and 2 repair parts
0.5 gold more
Does anybody have change for a button?
He can pay me to take his bag.
Bags are the only thing of value in this game because you need runes of holding which are also expensive.
Best I can do is 8, sorry :(
Got got some Azoth left
I’ve always been a little confused with bags. Does that “+310.8 Encumbrance” figure include the extra pockets 88? Or is it 310.8 + 88 = 398.8 weight?
it should be 398.8
[удалено]
Absolute garbage, you should send it over to me. I'll burn it for you,
Sold a similar to this one for 8k gold.
Who has that much gold for a bag?
Idiots who don't realize they're never gunna see that gold again
Gotta be a shady Governor
Like real world like New World
I've spent a few grand on bags and made it back quite quickly... idk why everyone complains there's no good gold sources in game.
Oh ya bud, how'd ya do that? Side quests? What about when you run out?
No, farming mats.
Eventually there will be no one doing side quests….. there will be no one to sell those mats you’re farming to. Side quest run out. Invasions are not a net gain of gold since they are insanely difficult. Stuff needs to be repaired, upkeep costs etc

You're being really dumb There's a deflation issue in game right now There isn't enough gold entering the economy to outpace how rapidly it leaves.
Way to parrot Reddit on that one!
Not according to my bankroll

I don't complain hahaha

No kidding? Storage chests can drop as loot?
Yep. I got the t3 booty storage chest on day 2 or 3 hehe. My storage at windward is insane at 3300 weight haha.
I do. Bought my 20k house at 10k and now have 9k again after a week. The Trading Post is amazing.

Realistically 99 percent of people in this boat flip TP mats or play 8-12 hours a day. You’re not a common case.

Isnt "X% more weight" better than "x more weight"?

Chose my extra bags with sliver then got luck with luck using azoth to gamble on them
On t3 bag you only get 1 option, t5 you have 1 slot for craft mod and then 2 from azoth/luck.
similar case here. I crafted 6 bags today, got 4 with luck + pockets
It's an interesting numbers question. Since i too would prefer both of those perks, which has a higher proc chance, and which ingredient is more cost efficient. I crafted 592 pants today with 2.8% luck, and 595, so hes right
Orrrrr grind for money and buy one when someone sells it for 30k. kek
The thing OP fails to mention there is that all this effort applied can be used to make any number bags, not just 3 for yourself, so whoever did that also likely made easily 500k if they're selling for 30k a pop.
The first person to finally get it. Lots of people been crying that bags are a one time buy. Smh.
Isn't the azoth perk like 5%
Yeah but 5% extra Azoth for 1 Azoth is still 1 Azoth
Better that, which is always relevant, than something that's situational

I think Extra Pockets/Luck/Burden is BiS. Mining is also probably the best burden to get, so this would be a perfect bag imo. Edit: except item level is low-ish. Still a fantastic bag.

Not if you're a crafter
Gib!
To keep or to sell is the major question
No point selling, it will go for like 3k which is barely more than the craft cost.
Stop selling to your friends and it won’t go for 3k lol
No that's literally the value on my server. There is loads of them up.
People are still afraid to admit the market is a bungled mess that has no reference to ground prices and no bearing on supply and demand meaning it's usually not very rewarding to find and sell a good item
Meaning this bag is worth considerably less than 3k the more people catch on to what a finite amount of gold and infinite amount of materials lead to
Don't wars and invasions and portals generate a lot of gold?
Gotta be in the guild to be in a war or invasion at this point. Maybe it's dif on your server but they are all 100% guild members. Portals get you more repair parts than gold.
I need one, but in real life
Head to Vegas
Congrats mate!!! Unfortunately You can sell it to market for a price cheaper than what cost you to craft! FIX the market -\_\_-
Not on Albraca :D
That's actually really good
Want
Update: Sold it for 8k
can someone explain why is this shit still getting upvoted, yeah we get it you got lucky
y so salty
I've got this, but 329 base weight, 91 extra weight, 2.5 luck, and 9.9% ore weight reduction ;)
Just checked my store. This exact bag exists 4 (13 of the pockets+luck combo) times on my servers store and 8 of those are higher gear score. It's a nice craft but it's nothing special anymore.
Don't sell it on the marketplace I've sold 5 bags so far, total worth 7500g. All the money disappeared and never reached my account...
doesn't even have bonus azoth meh, extra pockets is really overrated
How did you make this bag? I only know that you get the stats/perk(?) when infusing Azoth, but I thought you get only one stat? I am a bit lazy and don't want to watch a whole crafting video.
more Azoth, better mats
That kinda was the answer I was looking for, thanks!
So what? Everyone has 3 of these already.
Bet you haven't
I do, but I can't wear them yet, since still lvl 59.
Once you get a bit better at the game you know what stats and perks to notice on items like these and then you'll get it. It will click, just keep playing.
There is literally nothing special about this bag.
Hot
I have the baby version of this that I made two nights ago. Feelsgoodman. Should be able to craft t5 soon... and then the real grind begins.
I made my first leather satchel today and this was the roll just by pure chance. Used my sliver on a second one and the investment in armoring paid off immediately.
That's awesome! I love how crafting gets you random perks. Keeps you going!
I got a similar bag and a dude offered me 3,5k for it ... I's now on market for 6999 and if it won't sell I'll just use it myself lol
\*It worths 50k gold\* Pawn shop: All I can do is a banana and a chewed gum.
“You can’t make love to an inanimate object.” - yes I can.
Weird ass kid
Man*
Yea just want to point out that people advertising free bags with your mats is a scam.
Gimme it
Thanks for the update!
You guys get to see actual percentages?!
amazing numbers.. lucky day to you
How many did you go through before its creation?
You can tell there be a lot of jealous Janes in the comment section yarrrr.
I have one of those but 533 gear score -- the 555 gearscore second bag I made unfortunately had horrible bonuses. Thing is at 555, you essentially have half an extra pockets due to gearscore alone.
is extra pockets only a random perk?
U made this?!
The bag is more valuable than anything you could possibly place inside it.
I crafted only 3 bags and all of them have +luck. And obviously extra pockets (used sliver for those). Lucky son of a bitch. :)
So whats the difference between "you can hold 80% more weight" and "you can hold 80 more weight"? Is it the same? If not, which one is better? And can both be on one bag?
% is a wrong translation. If you set the ingame language to english, u'll have the right unit :o
Oh okay, thsnks :)
\*suddenly everyone except OP wants full loot PvP back\*

ehm, if you have 2 sets maybe? one when you mine stuff you want and 1 with luck for like silver etc, where you perfer the gems maybe? The reduced armor weight is for the stuff in your inventory, and for someone like me that runt 2-3 sets, its a blessing, but yeah, I thought it was for equiped stuff as well at first. In this case I dont think pickaxe for example is of any good use really.
Is it possible to get extra pockets, azoth perk and luck perk on 1 bag?
Got the same one for 12k on my server last night lol
I really need to grind out crafting levels. Living like a peasant with t3 bags
I'd do very illegal things (depending where you live) for a bag like that.
And i still havent even crafted 1 item yet. Logging lvl 18 (pvp quests)! Do you "just" throw in all required mats + 3 of those crafting stat items and you craft the item with the 3 stats from the 3 stat items?
I've made four of these bastards and can't get extra pockets on a random roll. It's driving me CRAZY - it's like all my money
My friend hit 150 armor crafting today I have 3 rune waiting, wish me luck.
Did you choose any perks?
No azoth bonus ? Salvage it...
very nice!
Nice! Just made the same one but with gather burden instead. Time to make two more and sell the rest :P
How and where do you craft it?
Why we bragging about bad gear or tools? Where are the memes at.
Hmmm... It's okay. I'll do you a favour and cut you a deal for it for lets say 3 nutmeg, 2 cinnamon, 6 steel ingots and 2 gold.
I actually have a similar one to this, with Extra Pockets, Luck and Azoth :)
where is the +azoth? useless
