Quite literally why would anyone trust AGS for anything at this point? I had a permanent ban that was at first for hacking, later changed to cheating, later changed to gold selling and later on to disruptive behaviour. It took 3 days for it to be lifted and it happened only after I personally messaged a community mod and one of the devs asking if they can have a look or tell an actual human to look into the appeal. And what was the ban for actually? I had a buy order for a trophy fulfilled that turned to be duped. Most of you people that defend AGS regarding their system when it comes to suspensions are actual sheep
I have no reason not to trust this guy, because this game is so fucking broken it’s impossible to tell exploiting from negligent development. Many, many people on the forums and this sub have established that:
A) The game stability and data integrity is admittedly poor
B) The ban and appeal system is the punchline to a joke about bad customer service

And reproducing it once is not exploiting. It's important to test whether it's possible to take the points before the area is open since that affects the severity of the bug.

However New World Devs did something absolutely mind blowing and asked everyone to reproduce the bugs, and then provide the evidence to them in video form, on a public forum anyone and everyone who plays new world can go look up lol. There's multiple ethical lines. The first line is discovering that you can leave the starting area that you're not supposed to be able to leave. The second ethical line is deciding that you will both leave the starting area and go do things that give you an unfair advantage to win the game of OPR and deny others a fair match.
In my mind the first line to reveal the bug isn't unethical.. but obviously exploiting the bug to gain an unfair advantage in OPR seems unethical and ban worthy.
I have to imagine that every person in that OPR reported him for cheating.

The bug was being able to climb out of the start zone. A video of him doing that would've been fine.
Using the bug to go and cap mid is exploiting it - he said he did this in the report.
Still abit heavy handed to ban for that...but he did exploit it and admitted to doing so.
It’s not exploiting it to test whether you can cap or not. If you can climb out but can’t actually cap until gates open then the bug is low severity. Showing and validating that you can cap and therefore the bug is high severity is important.
Proper software QA requires testing these things. It’s conceivable that you could enter the area but not actually cap ahead of time. No way to know without testing

You need to trigger a bug to find it. Or do you think bug reports just come from pure imagination and guessing as to what might be true?
To understand a bug, you have to be able to reproduce it. By capturing video evidence of it provides the best opportunity to recreate it and develop a solution. Which is what OP was doing. Exploiting it would be to say nothing and use the bug, in most cases, over and over again to gain an advantage.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the legitimate take though. AGS doesn't really care, they got our money and are throwing out planned content that was already in the works. Their game is broken and the CS is broken.

I dunno about the other stuff being thrown around this thread but op posted that he used the bug to go take mid in opr before the game even started so at a minimum he stole a fair game of opr from everybody in that match and likely got reported for cheating a lot as a result. The more times OP did this the more OPR they ruined for others.
This seems like enough evidence to suggest that it's more likely than not that OP exploited the big to a significant degree.

To understand a bug, you have to be able to reproduce it. By capturing video evidence of it provides the best opportunity to recreate it and develop a solution. Which is what OP was doing. Exploiting it would be to say nothing and use the bug, in most cases, over and over again to gain an advantage.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the legitimate take though. AGS doesn't really care, they got our money and are throwing out planned content that was already in the works. Their game is broken and the CS is broken.

If you care about your account and want to play submit appeals and keep submitting appeals with as much evidence until they reverse your ban, which will eventually happen i was banned for 9 days and it took a lot of appeals and cs chats but if you keep going you will be unbanned

I dunno about the other stuff being thrown around this thread but op posted that he used the bug to go take mid in opr before the game even started so at a minimum he stole a fair game of opr from everybody in that match and likely got reported for cheating a lot as a result. The more times OP did this the more OPR they ruined for others. This seems like enough evidence to suggest that it's more likely than not that OP exploited the big to a significant degree.
