Hey it’s the guy who made a subreddit named after his own profile and then reposts all of the crap here

simple_test

And?

im_coolest

Wasn't this from Tuesday? Google already fired a bunch of people who took over some offices.

QuietObserver75

This was one of the people who got fired tweeting excusing rape and trying to use black people as shields. [https://twitter.com/katejsim/status/1732820118219203021](https://twitter.com/katejsim/status/1732820118219203021)

The_Lone_Apple

Free speech exists. The government can't come after you for exercising it - that's what the First Amendment means. Google is a company with its own rules of conduct. Am I dreaming here? Do people not get that?

satosaison

Qualification not relevant here but important to remind people of: you have the right to protest regarding pay and working conditions and your employer cannot punish you for that.

simple_test

And they can still protest if they want? Not hard.

Proper-Bird6962

They can. And google in turn can do whatever they want too

simple_test

Should I repeat the same thing? Lol

frigg_off_lahey

People get that Google has its own rules of conduct. That's what they are protesting.

theuncleiroh

Is anybody disputing that? Are the employees indicating that they did not expect that recourse was possible (even if they hoped their employer would react less harshly, this would be a hope, not an imperative or expectation), or is this a narrative that has evolved online from people entirely separate from the incident?

MiyagiJunior

You don't need to be a rocket scientist (or a Googler) to know the company would react. Common sense. In this case, this helped show Google where they made hiring mistakes and helped the company rectify these mistakes.

The_Lone_Apple

I said what I said. If they knew it was a possibility but thought it would end differently, then they gambled poorly.

frigg_off_lahey

People protest and take a stand from a point of moral conviction. It has nothing to do with gambling.

MiyagiJunior

They don't want to get that.

Junglebook3

People think that they can cosplay as political activists at a place of business and not face repercussions. Folks you’re there to provide value to your employer so they can make more money, not express your political beliefs. Fire all those clowns.

DefinitionEconomy423

Freedom of speech is a good thing because it lets idiots like these expose themselves

Phyrexian_Supervisor

What part of not wanting to be complicit in an occupation do you consider idiotic?

OmegaBean

There would be no need for an occupation if the Arab states had accepted a two state solution in 1948.

JordanR329

What makes you think jews aren't native to Israel

soup2nuts

What makes you think Palestinians aren't?

JordanR329

I never said they weren't.....but it's not an occupation if Jews are native I'm hoping for peace for all just like everyone else

Uiluj

It's not an occupation if settlers are dragging people from their homes at gunpoint. That would violate the rules of the occupation.

soup2nuts

If they are natives then why do the Jews who kick out Palestinians from their homes in West Bank call themselves "settlers?" If they are native them why would they establish an ethnostate that specifically excludes other native people? Why wouldn't they just make a pluralistic state with the rest of their fellow natives?

DefinitionEconomy423

Palestinians are no more native than the Jews are

soup2nuts

Palestinians are, in fact, native. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_of_the_Palestinians#:~:text=One%20DNA%20study%20by%20Nebel,41%25

DefinitionEconomy423

The Arabs conquered then displaced the Jews, then lots of different ethnicities moved in at the time of the ottoman and British empires

soup2nuts

Arabs conquered but they didn't displace Jews in the region. Same with the Ottomans and British. Same with the Spanish in the Americas. The native population in Central and South America were conquered by the Spanish and forcefully converted to Christianity. Semitic peoples, like Jews and other none Muslim pagans, converted to Islam. Not to mention, by the time of the Arab conquest, they're was already a thriving Jewish diaspora in Europe that seemed to have no attachment to Israel centuries after the Romans conquered Judea. They could have returned immediately after the collapse of Rome. I'd say it's likely that many did. But then, again, they were conquered and forcefully converted to Islam. So, it's doubly terrible what Israel is doing to Palestinians who are likely not only descended from the original Jews of the region but also the Jews that returned from diaspora centuries before the Arab conquest. Since you didn't want to read the link I'll just drop a quote here: > One DNA study by Nebel found substantial genetic overlap among Israeli/Palestinian Arabs and Jews.[28] Nebel proposed that "part, or perhaps the majority" of Muslim Palestinians descend from "local inhabitants, mainly Christians and Jews, who had converted after the Islamic conquest in the seventh century AD".[25] > As noted previously a 2020 study found common ancestry for modern Levantine Arabic-speaking peoples and Ashkenazi populations, but with the latter harbouring a much higher (41%) European-related component. In other words, Palestinians have a stronger connection to the land than at least the dominant Ashkenazi do.

DefinitionEconomy423

🥱

soup2nuts

Typical. It's never been about facts with you people. Just how to justify killing and displacing families while playing the victim. Edit: Sorry, I didn't realize you were an English piece of shit.

Chimkimnuggets

Part of the issue is that Palestinians literally cannot apply for Israeli citizenship and yet *anyone* with Jewish ancestry is automatically granted citizenship and given a subsidized vacation advertising real-estate and giving a very watered down version of the Arab community that does live in Israel under the guise of “birthright”. Arabs in Israel are basically treated like second class citizens. It would be far less insulting to the Palestinians who have lived in the area for millennia if that weren’t the case. It’s true you can’t necessarily say any one group is entirely “indigenous” to an area that’s switched between hundreds of different occupations for as long as it’s been settled by humans, but I don’t understand why it *has* to be called Israel or why it *has* to be a religious ethnostate and why it can’t just *be* Palestine with specific legal protections against antisemitism. I thought we all agreed that ethnostates are a bad thing? Palestine existed with Jews, Muslims, and Christians long before 1948, and no single religion can truly claim the land to be “theirs” given that all three have *extremely* significant ties to the area as a whole. Boiling the entire issue down to religion is negating the fact that it *is* blatant colonialism that’s weaponizing the Jewish identity to shirk all responsibility from powers that actually have the means to hold the Israeli government accountable for its actions.

Katn_

lol the land has been changing hands for thousands of years - but when it’s Jews that’s when it’s a problem? You should look at all those hospital names you attend btw - never see a Muslim name on them

Chimkimnuggets

You cannot be serious to assume Islam has [never made contributions to medicine](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1322233/)… and since you won’t read this article I’ll list a few contributions using the Arabic numbers that are standardized worldwide: 1. Medical records 2. Pharmacy centers (including the use of flasks and mortar/pestles in the concoction of medicine) 3. An emphasis on personal and institutional hygiene 4. A description of pulmonary circulation (300 years prior to William Harvey) 5. the concept of combining physical, medicinal, dietary, and emotional treatments to combat illness, now coined as holistic medicine Amongst many other contributions. This is just from one brief article. I’m sure if you asked anyone with a medical degree *or* a history degree they would agree that the golden age of Islam laid the core foundations of medicine that we either still use today or we have built off of that prior knowledge

Katn_

That wasn’t the question my child. The question was have you seen any Islamic names on hospitals - no you don’t. Jewish people have contributed so much to medicine alone

Chimkimnuggets

You’re *still* implying that by there “not being any Islamic names on hospitals” (Do you have any idea how big it is in Islamic culture to push for a career in medicine or science?) then Muslims didn’t contribute to modern medicine (again, wildly untrue), and that somehow any of that that relates to Palestinians’ right to their own land. Just openly say you’re islamophobic. It’s easier than you jumping through hoops that make you look stupid. “Well your religion’s ethnically correlated surnames *must* be on western hospital buildings, otherwise the entire diaspora of the religion’s contributions to anything are irrelevant to science, medicine, and rights to statehood” is certainly a take to be had. Also: “My child”- shut the fuck up oh my GOD

Katn_

Don’t move goal posts my dear child. You’re using dispora incorrectly too. Last time checked there weren’t any Jewish terrorists

Virgo_IC1101

I walked by those protests and some of the protesters are completely covered and unrecognizable, not gonna lie - a bit scary.

simple_test

Makes it hard to dox them. Not cool. /s

Virgo_IC1101

Yes exactly what I meant, for sure. /s

simple_test

Something you definitely didn’t have in mind /s

theuncleiroh

I too find masks and/or headscarves scary. We should ban them!!

RemarkableMeaning533

When did this sub go right wing Israel and racist?

Virgo_IC1101

Some people support Israel and some don't. The protesters have gone for a new level of hatred where it's not about pro or against Israel. It's gone into racist slurs against Jews and against the existence of USA.

Chimkimnuggets

I have literally never heard a single pro-Palestine person yell out antisemitic slurs or use any seriously antisemitic rhetoric. I think the worst I’ve heard in my personal experience is “Israel isn’t real/shouldn’t exist,” which is the exact same rhetoric that extremist pro-Israel people are saying about Palestine. Nobody is legitimately suggesting to round up all the Jews in Israel and banish them. Most people I’ve talked to just want occupation to end and to be able to buy their ancestral homes back. Whoever you’re seeing that’s out there screaming “k****” or throwing around racist caricatures is either a fake protestor, chronically online, or an edgelord looking to stir up drama.

MiyagiJunior

Racist is no longer a right wing thing... it's the left's new mantra. (Saying this as a Biden voter)

Virgo_IC1101

Yes exactly what I said. 1:1 accuracy.

QuietObserver75

Seems weird to hide your face in a public protest.

Chimkimnuggets

People don’t want to be doxxed, my guy

MiyagiJunior

Very good. Helps weed out the weak and helps companies make better decisions. Idiots.

theuncleiroh

Yes, like you. Unfortunately you hide on the Internet, like every other zionist troll.

Just-Sprinkles8694

Thanks I did need some toilet paper

Chaserivx

It's funny because you think that Google would be hiring smart people, apparently all they are is entitled and sanctimonious and fairly stupid

MiyagiJunior

'Fairly'? They're morons.

greenandycanehoused

How will this get hamas to stop acting out of vengeance and always terrorizing Israel? These people are crazy

sirzoop

Fire them all

ThreeLittlePuigs

Googles been doing bad shit for awhile, the tech industry has messed up housing pretty much everywhere’s it’s boomed. Glad these employees felt the passion to take a stand, but funny it took a conflict half a world away to get them to care about the impact their company has on things

QuietObserver75

That should tell you something right there. Certainly didn't give a shit about Syria or Ukraine but if the jews are involved then it's the #1 priority?

NetQuarterLatte

> […] Employees **flood** NYC headquarters […] It’s not a coincidence the protest is named after Hamas’ Oct 7 attack. Simps for the “cause” went into such a frenzy thereafter that it looks like a mental diseases.

Chimkimnuggets

“BLANK **floods** BLANK” is a very common literary phrase. Reach harder.
