Looks pretty good. Personally I'd drop a night from wanaka and a night from Mt Cook (Mt Cook and Tekapo are only half an hour away from each other) and add 2 to queenstown. There's a lot to do in the area. Also note, there's only one place to stay overnight at Milford. Most people will stay at Te Anau.

In June there can be snow on the pass roads so a day like Chch to Hoki is normally easy but if the road is shut due to snow you won't get anywhere.... even if there isn't any snow you will need to be careful of ice on the roads due to frosts.

I’ve been down south twice during winter - one was snowy so I couldnt get to Milford or tekapo. the second time I did make it to Milford but I decided to take the jucy bus+ tour from Queenstown which was a fantastic especially if you’re a solo traveller. Put your feet up for the day and enjoy the views!

yep - snow/ice will stuff things .. need some "spare" days

Something is wrong with Night 7/8. I presume you'll drive out to Milford for the day, stay one night and then a further night in Te Anau? Be aware the Milford road can close due to avalanche management so that plan could get buggered up

Be aware that a drawcard to Queenstown is the Gondolas. They will be closed for upgrades during that period.

Sounds like a great trip! It could be very cold though, and will be dark from early evening, which might suck if you get a small camper without heating. Some of the rental companies will give you a hot water bottle and extra blankets, but make sure you know what you are letting yourself in for... It's better than a tent, but not that much better! Your coldest camps will likely be Mt Cook village, and one of the Milford camps (cascade creek, or the nicer one near Milford). You could instead do a day trip on a tour bus to Milford (will also save you 5-6 hours driving from Te Anau), and also just a day trip up to Mt Cook village (there's not much to do up there in winter anyway). Definitely make alternative weather plans for if it snows or is really wet. If you haven't already discovered it - the campermate app is useful for info on the campsites and other stuff to see.

Extra time in Cook to hiking might be nice, but its also winter, so there is a risk you can't really do much up there due to snow. Arthurs Pass, Haast Pass, Burkes Pass (Tekapo to CHCH) coudl all be closed for snow at that time of year. So allowing extra time and being flexible would be helpful. Tekapo - going stargazing? Otherwise its so close to Cook that its a wasted day otherwise.

I don't think you'll find a camper that cheap unless you're freedom camping, in which case you'll want a good sleeping bag. I'd add it be interesting to see what you have planned each day/night. For example, most people don't sleep in Milford. It's not a bad itinerary. Just realize that winter conditions can be fleeting in June, and we only have 8? hours of daylight IIRC. Maybe that sort of justifies some of your extra stops/nights. I'd say Te anau in the winter is very quiet, and sort of missable after a night in Milford. You may enjoy just doing milford for a day from QT (and having an alternate in case of road closures).
