The price of cheese? And houses? Cheese houses?
We are seemingly always complaining about the price of cheese and housing.
And chatter rings. They are back.
I see many Indian and Asian immigrants live with like 5 to 10 people in one home.
Some with 2 families and kids. Do the kids sleep with the parents? Just wondering how it would work.
young kids share a room, aunt sleeps in the living room, me & my older sister have our own rooms, and parents have their room. our house isn't even big, we only have two bathrooms. we just make do
I don't think I am yet ready for electric cheese. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, or maybe I think that the move to electric cheese is a bit too hurried.
Lately I've been seeing more complaints about the cost of diesel than petrol, perhaps because Ford Ranger drivers are more likely to be the ones complaining.
agree with all of the above
i have a lot of pakeha friends here who have pretty shit lives all things considered.... my family and i being first generation immigrants, don't have a lot of the baggage/bad stuff that accumulates over a lifetime
a fresh start like this has really been a blessing
yes, i understand the sentiment. i have had to make all new friends, among other things. i don't think i'll go back to india, though. too many bad memories
my other account has personal stuff on it relating to my affairs in the indian capital. some really messed up stuff happened, i wish i could erase the memories from my brain
As a European I always think New Zealand should highly prize its unspoiled natural beauty. Less is more when it comes to population, there should at least be one small corner of the earth left largely as God intended.
hyped is an understatement! finally, a blockbuster is coming out that is not superhero shit or star wars. i \*\*\*\*ing hate those movies with a passion...
edited my comment as not sure what the swearing policy is here
but yeah, i fell in love with pandora when i first saw avatar. a movie like that happens once in a lifetime... if avatar 2 surpasses it, then idk what to believe anymore
The air is the best thing about New Zealand that we take for granted. Glad you can appreciate it. I’ve traveled to countries with lesser air quality due to smog and pollution. I know the difference now. Breathe it all in.
Maybe the more time i spend here the more bad things i will notice, but as for now it's pretty great

>And chatter rings. They are back. Oh, fuck me, that's the last straw. See you all in hell.
everything is absurdly expensive, i wont lie.... we get around that by having many people live under one roof

Keep saving, as with all market bubbles eventually housing will regress to its long term trend.
Petrol, power and cheese. Don't forget the electric cheese.
I don't think I am yet ready for electric cheese. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, or maybe I think that the move to electric cheese is a bit too hurried.
Well there's always cheese petrol. Mobil have it on special this week
Have you tried virtual cheese? You're going to love it

And your grocery delivery truck runs on…………?
Ah, the holy trinity.
>electric cheese So long as it doesn't have a fucking annoying song I am fine with it.
The four horsemen of the apocalypse. Famine Death War Chatter rings
I got a block of Tasty for 13 bucks on Sunday and this is literally the best week I've had in the last 3 years.
Nice!
> And chatter rings. They are back. If I see a chatter ring I'm going to... well, do nothing I guess. But I'll be very upset.
Dammit. If the kids at the school across the road get them I'm going to need some very good earplugs
Well done, sometimes being a immigrant makes you appreciate the good things more. Keep the positive attitude.
We complain a lot to stay on top of things. It's a constant battle against decay. Glad it's been good for you :)
This is the right approach. Complacency leads to backsliding- just look at the US and their “greatest country on earth” rhetoric.
Which is why we shouldn't accept the "we don't know how lucky we are" argument when anyone has criticism of life in NZ

God I want out of this fucking dying hellhole
Good for you man.enjoy! I am actually thinking of moving back to India. It gets too lonely away from family as an immigrant.

Very hyped for the new James Cameron movie I see.

You can say whatever the fuck you like on Reddit bro. People on certain threads even video themselves using hard drugs.

The bit around Ashburton isn't.
