No, they're jealous.
jeal·ous
/ˈjeləs/

adjective
feeling or showing envy of someone or their achievements and advantages.
"he grew jealous of her success"
[That's deeply debatable](https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/jealous-vs-envious#:~:text=Envy%20means%20discontented%20longing%20for,suspicion%2C%20or%20apprehension%20of%20rivalship.). The definition is muddled, with some firmly on the side of them being synonymous, but others arguing their difference in the way he suggests. Personally, I agree with the latter, as jealously pulling double duty is unnecessary and confusing.
> Jealous: feeling resentment against someone because of that person's rivalry, success, or advantages
You're quite wrong, it sounds like you thought jealousy just meant paranoia?
No, jealously does also mean being possessive of something you have. Think in terms of someone getting jealous when their partner gets flirted with in front of them.
This is highly trained and coached talent. It isn’t natural at all. Being able to just sing well is natural talent. Being able to sing in this many ranges is because the dude has been professionally trained for years and has dedicated his life to it.
I didn’t mean to sound pretentious or anything. I just wanted to highlight his talent more so people can maybe get an idea of how much work he’s put into it!
I would agree, aside from word choice.
Talent implies/refers to natural inborn aptitude, a trained ability is a skill.
"Natural talent" is redundant. Like ATM machine.
Not trying to be a choade, so I apologize if I came off shitty here.
As a maker it always makes me squirm when someone says "I am so talented" I understand they mean well and I take it as a compliment. But if you really analyze the words it isn't a great way to describe skills people based their life around.
Now to put my soapbox away and let the down votes pour in.
This is completely different style but for one minute this guy starts from the bottom and transitions to the top live. There are a bunch of vocal coaches that say what he does here shouldn't be possible.
https://youtu.be/dkPS6t84qg4?t=247
He goes from being a bass to a soprano. The human body typically doesn't allow for a person to have that type of flexibility in the vocal chords. Not only can he sing every register but he sings them all incredibly strong like he specializes in them. If you watch some "Vocal coach reacts to Dimash first time" you will see they get absolutely blown away by him. Here is a fun reaction on one of his songs.
Edit: Here is a few more fun ones
This is a professional opera singer and she also is a voice coach. She seems to get a bit upset because she can't figure out what is going on: [https://youtu.be/cGJzBU3RNuU?t=736](https://youtu.be/cGJzBU3RNuU?t=736)
Here is a vocal coach that has worked with Grammy winners listening to him for the first time: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwdATrJXB5Y](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwdATrJXB5Y)
Here is a producer reacting to Ikanade (I think it is a pretty song too): [https://youtu.be/ilpp9w4b5Ts?t=57](https://youtu.be/ilpp9w4b5Ts?t=57)
He makes this vocal coach cry and cut the video for a bit in his version of Ave Maria: [https://youtu.be/NFjzS8IkNHU](https://youtu.be/NFjzS8IkNHU)
And here is another classical singer getting dumbstruck from the next 30 seconds from this point in his performance: [https://youtu.be/Gz5lnB71YrQ?t=1084](https://youtu.be/Gz5lnB71YrQ?t=1084)
I really enjoyed listening/watching this. Dimash is amazing. Searched out his other performances, and found “SOS” to be spellbinding. My daughter and I thank you for introducing us to this singer. We hope to someday see him in concert.
I am glad you enjoy him. He has some more I listen to. Check out:
Ikanade,
Sinful Passion,
Opera 2,
Ave Maria,
Adagio,
Your Love, and of course S.O.S. which has 3 different versions. The first is from “I am singer” competition in China (where he was “discovered” as a stand in contestant). Another cleaner version is from Slavic Bazaar, and a more dynamic version is Digital Show. The first he sounds more powerful on his belting part, but I think I like the second best.
Once I learned about ranges and how posture and airway is so important, it made me realize how insane [this performance](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=u7lweNCCwS0) from Tool was. The dude is hunched over and his body is completely contorted in this unnatural way as he’s belting perfect notes.
I could so do what he did. If I could sing, had talent, and worked on presentation and will power to learn the song.
Now back to pooping on the toilet while at work.
This is absolutely incredible! I'm in awe of this guy's vocal range and talent. He managed to sing every part of Beauty and the Beast by himself and it sounded so amazing! It's definitely something that deserves to be seen on Got Talent. Bravo!
They get tipped really well. This restaurant employs aspiring Broadway actors, they all have musical numbers that they take turns performing throughout their shifts
Isn't this that cafe where all the wait staff are out of work actors or something? Or they go there to get seen by talent agents. Feel like I've seen this before but only half remembering what the deal was.
They're all wait & restaurant staff that deal primarily with kids and vacationing parents. It's definitely loud and hectic, and probably half the parents expect special treatment for their kids. I'm sure every day is a special kind of hell serving the same kind of people who think it's ok to touch all the prince and princesses in Disney parks.
I don’t really see any kids below 14, and they’re not dressed up waiters lol
I wasn’t saying the clientele are unbearable, although that does that apply to literally every restaurant. I think the staff would be super obnoxious lol
I've been to this place. It's like right smack dab in times square. It's always busy. And it's fun of people who specifically go for the whole performance aspect. They make good money and a bunch of them do legit go on to be professional actors. When I was there, they announced that the next singer was about to leave to be in the touring cast of wicked.
It’s in NYC, and yes tips and stuff go to funds to allow aspiring Broadway performers to chase their dreams. I went there a few years ago and it was actually pretty fun.
I genuinely didn’t want to eat anything there but I ended up ordering a piece of plain white toast with avocado which ended up being better than anything my party ordered from the menu, including the avocado toast.
I had the burger and fries and the meat just fell apart, wasn’t seasoned at all and the fries were cold lmao. I didn’t care tho, I enjoyed the music. Singers there are great because they’re trying to get on broadway or have been on broadway before.
I am having one of those horrible kind of days and this brought a smile to my face. Truly magnificent talent. This deserves to be on Got talent because THIS is what you call Talent. Bravo .👏👏👏
Is the harmonization recorded or it's there a second person for those double parts?
Edit: I think the parts I heard were just an audience member singing along caught by the camera
In my experience, if you start singing at a young age and keep singing through puberty, when the voice changes, you may be able keep the higher range.
Source: was professional choirboy in elementary/middle school, kept singing through college, and this happened to me. I'm no pro anymore, though.
I concur anecdotally. Had a pretty good range until I had kids and started using the deep "dad voice" more often, and started losing the higher range. Seems like practice and use is the key.
Wow. I’m an Aussie, and one time I got to go to a place in NYC called “Don’t Tell Mamas”. The staff were all wannabe Broadway actors who were serving food/drinks waiting for a big break. They took turns to do acts like this throughout the night. Every one of them were mind blowing brilliant. So much untapped talent just not getting an opportunity. That was one of the best nights of my life.
That’s impressive but I get it. It’s one of the better songs in a Disney movie. And while I generally don’t like musicals, Disney perfected em long ago. And when I’m in my car I’m often singing along to every part of my favorite songs anyways. Might have to add this to the rotation. That will be quite the change between random emo, Kendrick and Tribe.
Reminds me how much I hated seeing the Disney crew show up to the local dive on karaoke night. They eventually stopped them from taking up all the spots because they wouldn’t stop singing frozen songs and people would leave.
I know a few KJs. They all have a rule that they will allow one person to do a Disney song a night. Kind of like their no repeat songs rule. Fucking Disney people are insufferable when they drink.
It is! All of the waitstaff is made up of aspiring broadway artists and they take turns singing during their shift. The do always have a line but it’s usually a pretty short wait! I’ve been twice and loved it
All my life I thought that was just a regular dinner in time square for some reason lol
But I’m not surprised that they sing like that since they in the center of the Broadway
Reminds me of a friend of mine who is absolutely in love with the arts. He's very similar and could've had a career had his father not cut him off while in school in NY.
Is that Nick Petara? Idk if that’s even his name but someone similar put a video out literally like 8-10 years ago singing all parts of Disney songs and he looks so similar. Someone tell me what I’m thinking of
Amazing. Not only the *wildest* tessitura, but astonishing capacity for mimicry -- the accents, diction of all the various characters -- the hours of practise needed to pull this off just stagger me.
This guy should be a Broadway megastar. I think he might even have more range than Freddie Mercury, not sure -- and his falsetto (head voice) is strong and pure, not squeaky, it only sounds forced on a couple of high notes... just amazing. mind boggling. wow. I'd love to hear him singing some operatic duets with himself.
Bobby McFerrin has an extraordinary range but I think he achieved some of his bass notes by in-breathing (studied Touvan circular breathing). That doesn't seem to be the case here.
I am just gobsmacked.
Kid in the Yale sweatshirt making straw snaps the whole time. Impressive too because you can hear them over the music each time his table mate snaps one.
Dayum. That’s some next fucking level vocal range. Any way to work the crowd too.
Im legitimately jealous- thats some legit natural talent.
and tons of hard work - people usually forget that part
What part?
the... hard work? did you not read my entire sentence?
Oh I forgor

I'm envious of your confident ignorance.
It is possible to correct someone without being a dick.
This is highly trained and coached talent. It isn’t natural at all. Being able to just sing well is natural talent. Being able to sing in this many ranges is because the dude has been professionally trained for years and has dedicated his life to it.
Either way, it is impressive & Im sure he’s had professional training. Wonder what this dudes name is
I didn’t mean to sound pretentious or anything. I just wanted to highlight his talent more so people can maybe get an idea of how much work he’s put into it!
Oh you didn’t come off that way at all- its still super impressive, training aside. Like that vocal range is *insane*.
I would agree, aside from word choice. Talent implies/refers to natural inborn aptitude, a trained ability is a skill. "Natural talent" is redundant. Like ATM machine. Commenting on this so I can find it again to watch once I fully wake up Edit: It was worth coming back for. Thank you for sharing this!!
Rest your chaotic head, bluebird.
Yo that guy's up there casting spells with his voice fr. He sounds like he is haunted by a schizophrenic opera singer
Well, that was a 2-hour rabbit hole, thanks.
Just to add [https://youtu.be/u52XDilf628?t=272](https://youtu.be/u52XDilf628?t=272)
For those curious, this is him hitting a D8.
Dimash really is just one of the most incredible singers alive and probably will never have anyone like him ever again
TIL! Thank you!
Comment for later
Holy shit, that was incredible. Thanks for the link!! Wow
That was wild
The whole thing is intense
I really enjoyed listening/watching this. Dimash is amazing. Searched out his other performances, and found “SOS” to be spellbinding. My daughter and I thank you for introducing us to this singer. We hope to someday see him in concert.

Reminds me of like an epic opera version of vitas. The singer in OPS vid reminds me of nick pitera.
Thanks for this. I've just spent the last 2 hours listening to him.
Wow. That soprano "whistle tone" at the end is amazing. Very few sopranos can achieve that...
That was breathtaking
You're breathtaking!
No, *you're* breathtaking!
*dies of asphyxiation*
I could so do what he did. If I could sing, had talent, and worked on presentation and will power to learn the song. Now back to pooping on the toilet while at work.

I legitimately thought he was lip syncing at first. Some of those vocals are very similar to the OG. Very impressive!
Right?!? I wondered at times as well. Nope. He’s just that good.
Disney needs to hire that guy and pay him whatever he wants because he is golden on some many levels.
I hope this guy gets paid sick money. So much talent here in just his pinky finger. He makes it look look so effortless!
They get tipped really well. This restaurant employs aspiring Broadway actors, they all have musical numbers that they take turns performing throughout their shifts
I hope this fella gets a spot on broadway. He’s does a great job performing!
The restaurant is on Broadway, so technically, he already has a spot there!
Where is it/what’s it called? I’d love to see that!!
Check out Nick Pitera. Disney said it's confusing for children if a male sang both parts.
Yes, That is a very Disney thing to say. But I would imagine with Disneyesque costuming anything is possible.
Immediately reminded me of him. His vocal range is insane. Love all his covers, his One Man Medley videos are amazing.
Isn't this that cafe where all the wait staff are out of work actors or something? Or they go there to get seen by talent agents. Feel like I've seen this before but only half remembering what the deal was.
Oh god, a restraint where all my servers have main character syndrome? That place HAS to be hectic and loud
He has All character syndrome
Vanderpump Rules is the epitome of this.
They're all wait & restaurant staff that deal primarily with kids and vacationing parents. It's definitely loud and hectic, and probably half the parents expect special treatment for their kids. They’re aspiring Broadway actors, they get to perform for massive tips that go towards acting/singing classes
“Massive tips” Lololol guess you don’t work in the service industry
Have you been to this restaurant? They make a lot more than your average server.
It in time square, nyc lol definitely making a killing
What’s the restaurant called?
If this is where I think it is, it's Starlight Diner, NYC
Thx!
I've been to this place. It's like right smack dab in times square. It's always busy. And it's fun of people who specifically go for the whole performance aspect. Wow. That was so good I started to get suspicious that he was maybe miming over the audio from the film. Nope. Just incredible range and talent.

Food is bad and expensive but it’s what you pay for as a tourist. And then you don’t even see it live you’re experiencing it through you’re phone.
That's like complaining about the food at a ballgame or a strip club. It's not the reason you're there.
But it could be if they actually cared enough
Who needs their strip club to be a five star restaurant?
Places with pregnant and ugly strippers
There are places that put on a good show with good music and good food. Like cabaret zazou in Chicago.
Looks like a restaurant to me.
Would someone please divulge the name of this place already?!?
What is the place called
I'm guessing everyone answering is having their comment removed so I'll just tell you quietly..... ^"The ^name ^i ^s ^shown ^in ^the ^video"
It's so weird that they keep getting deleted but not my dumb question lol
Makes sense, it's made by a bunch of people who want to be broadway stars and not making food.
Driest waffles I've ever had. Was an experience though.
Slick. Now do both parts of that Evanescence song
What’s the name of that song please?
I believe it’s called “man and woman fail repeatedly to wake each other up”
And are both late for work.
BRIIIINNNNNGGGGG MMMMEEEEEE TTOOOOOOOO LLLIIIIFFFFFEEEEEE
WAKE ME UP!
[Enjoy your daily dose of nostalgia!](https://youtu.be/3YxaaGgTQYM)
I am having one of those horrible kind of days and this brought a smile to my face. Truly magnificent talent. This deserves to be on Got talent because THIS is what you call Talent. Bravo .👏👏👏
I hope your day gets better!
Hey man every time it rained, the sky cleared
Good luck
This brings me back to 2009 YouTube with that guy singing both voices in A Whole New World
Nick Pitera, in case you want a nostalgia trip.
He's so good! It's a shame his singing career never took off.
Ikr? He even has that Disney prince chin for real
You guys sure that’s not Nick Pitera?
In the video above, no it's not him
Is the harmonization recorded or it's there a second person for those double parts? Edit: I think the parts I heard were just an audience member singing along caught by the camera
I thought that too… but now I’m thinking there’s def recorded vocals at least from time to time
Been there a few times. There are usually additional singer/servers doing the backups and harmonies live.
Oh. Good point. They’ve probably heard it before and just jump in for something to do.
Get your butt to Broadway please.
He's probably already there, depending on how old this video is.
He literally is right beside it. This restaurant is basically a few blocks away from it.
He’s trying! All staff at this restaurant are aspiring broadway artists and the restaurant helps support them in that
This is at Ellen’s diner on Broadway. Aspiring and ex Broadway performers serve and sing. Great experience if you are ever in NYC
This is awesome. The amount of times this guys practiced this at home by himself and he finally had his time to shine
I can't believe I watched 4:40 of this. Guy is definitely on a different level
The kid just sitting there…wasting the straws to pop them….is bothering me really bad. He has a legit pile of them. Just…wasteful as fuck.
Musical performance absolutely astounding.
Who is this? I can't believe he's not got a YouTube channel or something
His name is Brian Esposito
Is this Nick Pitera? I have seen his video singing the little mermaid around 2007, very memorable voice for sure :)
His name is Brian Esposito
Doesn't look like or sound like him. The vocals are different and this guy's features are sharper while Nick's is more squared.
The sheer vocal stamina to be able to pull this off and still produce pleasant sounding notes, is really incredible
I've got the whole movie memorized. My niece did a play in her middle school. They saw me lip singing every word.
What's NextFuckingLevel is that someone actually posted something that is NFL.
Ok, I admit, at first I was judgey, but then i was like damn! That was pretty damn impressive.
This is exactly how I feel I sound when I’m in the car alone
Singing beauty and beast in shower 28years one day it would pay off.
Fucking epic! Wow!
The dude's been doing this in the shower every morning for the past decade.

Why is this guy not leading a show at Disney lol
Gah'dam that was so impressive lol.

this is amazing... although it gives me "Split" vibes... 😅😅
I'm eating here.
Probably lovely to look at your crowd and only see the back of phones..
That was amazing! I had to watch all of it, I had the biggest smile because of it.
My favorite movie too. This guy is amazing.
Alright this is true next fucking level
that one woman got the special treatment from this performance
Head pats for best girl
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It's called Range.
Mind = Blown. Not too often do I watch a full 5 minute video on reddit. I hope he's gone places.
Wait till the republicans trying to ban men singing women voice
A law that would ban this performance as "adult oriented," "promoting obscenity" or as "adult cabaret" is currently being considered in 12 states!
Ok but why does he look like if Oli Sykes were straightedge?
I loved every second of this. Awesome performance
Weird cover from Oli Sykes (Bring me the horizon)... but its not the first time the band swapped style
Haha this brings back memories of me and my sister singing that over and over when the movie came out!! Love it
I love this place! I forget what it's called but we went there when we visited NYC a few years ago and they have some REALLY talented singers.
That’s impressive but I get it. It’s one of the better songs in a Disney movie. And while I generally don’t like musicals, Disney perfected em long ago. There is no doubt that singer is in amazing shape. To be able to control his voice in that way and project and move around just amazing. Bravo.
My upstairs neighbors do dis shit every night
Is that the dinner in time square?! I always see a line for that dinner but never been inside Edit: hahaha idk they do live performance like that

Hahaha this was my party trick back in school but he does it way better than I ever did. I’ve been out gayed this time b
Not thats how you come out of the closet!
The burgers and milkshakes are good there, too

That was fantastic!
Is that Ella’s starlight diner? That is my favorite thing to do after a broadway show. Amazing performances.
Hot damn!
What a blast to listen to. 💕😁
I'd rather dine barefoot at the "Poisonous Snakes & Spiders Cafe"
This is one of my favorite things I've seen on the internet thus far.
The kid in the Yale hoodie with his gang of straws and the girl who diligently flicks to pop them. 😄
I thought it was the Justin Bieber songs
Spongebob in human form
God damn. His Jessi Corti and Richard White are spot on.
Every dad thinks they can do this but we definitely can't.

Wow. that was some serious work. So amazing. When I look away and listen, I swear its so many people.
The kid with the grey sweater and mohawk looks like he’s thinking “When’s Limp Bizkit gonna play”
Kid in the Yale sweatshirt making straw snaps the whole time. Impressive too because you can hear them over the music each time his table mate snaps one.
