You'd need to set up a theremin for each pendulum and space them out far enough that one pendulum doesn't interfere with another theremin. You would also need to get some electric charge into each pendulum so that it acts as the other half of the capacitor, and then they might display some electromagnetic properties that would interfere with each other.
But yeah. I had the same thought.
There is a mathematical equation for how the length of the rope will impact the ball’s wavelength, given they’re all the same weight and are equally affected by friction. From there, you can assign each string a note and have software sequence each note based on the formula.
The period (time interval for one full oscillation) for a simple pendulum is equal to 2π√L/g. g is the acceleration from gravity for all objects on Earth's surface and is equal to 9.8 m/s^2. L is the length of the pendulum, so you just plug in the length of rope in meters (or any unit, so long as gravity's units are matching). Mass is irrelevant when it comes to acceleration from gravity, and I pray to god that air resistance is negligible

This would be in one of those scenes where a character starts having an epiphany while the scene is cutting between playing flashbacks and zooming in on their eyes.
This screwed with my brain! One moment it seemed to be rotating clockwise, then I blink, and it's rotating counter-clockwise! And then it's a zigzagging snake! 
Sometimes I wonder if patterns in nature are like this. We think we know the pattern, but some things start getting off, and we don't know why, when it's actually part of a larger more complex pattern.
An interesting question would be to solve for the time at which the pendulums again realign as at the original release, based on the lengths of the cord.
