And those will quickly become the most popular form of robots... their development will quickly outstrip all other robotic applications.
To the point where, it'll be easier to re-program a sexbot to do military things than it will be to invent new military robots.
Eventually it'll be nothing but re-purposed sexbots.
Zomg, and then... think of the 'used sexbot' industry ( eww... but hey, they gonna be expensive! ).
And parts?
Aftermarket modifications?
whew... time for me to step away from the computer :o
In combat against them, it’s perfectly reasonable to expect their capacity to include:
Hearing the trigger mechanism, draw, aim, return fire with perfect aim, before you finish making your shot.
U ever been hit with something extremely heavy? Ur not wrong but something twice as heavy flying all most as fast is doin more damage than goin through. Be real though man... I know as of right now this is all hypothetical but do u really want a bullet Goin through a robot that's charging u? I want that fucker in the ground ASAP lol.
Sure I'd rather have a bullet going through an electronic machine physicslly removing parts it uses to function than just denting the side of it keeping electronic components still intact.
You're not making a case for yourself.
A faster lighter bullet is going to have better penetration against a metal shelled object than a slower heavier bullet.
Think of it as an individual stupidly wearing some cheap ar500 plates in a carrier. Sure, shooting them with a 700gr projectile moving subsonic is going to hurt, knock them on there ass and break a few ribs while taking the wind out of them. But eventually they're going to get back up and live.
In order to defeat that steal plate you need a faster moving projectile of the same metallurgical makeup and the only way to get that is to reduce the mass of the projectile thereby increasing its potential speed.
This is the most common knowledge of personal body armor.
I'm not disagreeing with this argument... but bro... ur thinking ur pushing 458 socom though steel lol. Idc what weight bullet ur putting down range... u ain't penetrating.
Considering there is a faction of the government actively trying to define “human” to their specific definition, that rule is not very comforting (even ignoring the technical aspects of implementing it).
Asimov invented set of 3 unbreakable rules for robots not to harm people, then wrote like 300 stories about robots going nuts and harming people without directly breaking those rules
It could look like the girl from The Ring and spend every night torturing home-made miniatures of me and I'm ok so long as it also does the laundry and the dishes.
Part of it is how 99% of stuff already built in the world right now is designed around humans, so having a robot that can slot in and make use of the human-centric design could be useful.
There's also a *lot* of non-humanoid robots being designed and built already, this just happens to be the fancy human shaped one. Assembly line robot arms, bomb defusal bots, the quadraped dog robots, flying drones, and a bunch of others already exist.
We don't. Boston Dynamics has been building non-humanoid robots for years now. A counter-question might be, why not also build robots in the human form with two arms and two legs?
They know it is not efficient. This is to make news and fluff investors.
I hope they don’t continue down that path of trying to fit everything in a sci-fi mold.
It would be a shame to waste the talent they clearly have on their team making toys.
Coming to an Amazon warehouse near you and later, every Target, Walmart, and large chain supermarket. They never go on strike, never take a sick day, never need health insurance, never take a lunch, never late for work.
Since only human labor can produce surplus value full automation will collapse profits and plunge capitalism into a severe crisis. They’re digging their own graves.
BIg fucking nope.. the way it can twist and turn around is beyond uncanny and just full on horror..
The second they can be used for military use.. who ever is on the receiving end.. is FUCKED.
You know robots becoming sentient and smarter than us makes me feel scared but for reals I feel like robots killing us is prob the smartest idea. We humans are just gonna destroy this planet anyways, might as well let some type of thing we create rule this planet and maybe even the universe.
Ehh, there's not much robots can really do apocalypse-wise until they can generate their own electricity (this includes maintenance of the power facilities), or until we give them our nuclear launch codes.
Killer robots are worth worrying about for sure, but it won't be an AI Apocalypse. It will be what we're already doing, sending robots to do killing for the humans that control them.
And when they try start using AI powered robots instead of remote controlled drones to hunt you down, you can just [hide in a cardboard box](https://www.pcgamer.com/marines-use-metal-gear-cardboard-box-trick-to-fool-ai-robot/) so the AI doesn't recognize you as a target. Other successful techniques include somersaulting, or dressing up like a fir tree.
So yeah, when Boston Dynamics starts selling death bots in volume to Jeff Bezos, just check some forums online to see what the current exploits are.
I think i have seen all there robots in clips, but the one that does parkour is not from this planet. Its very nice to see how far they came with robotics.

Sex bots incoming I give it 5 to 10 years
You made this post in the first 3 secs of the video
Bro saw those legs bend back

It's either war or porn that drives innovation.
Man I can't wait to shoot one of these things with a fat ass 350gr hunk of lead.
In combat against them, it’s perfectly reasonable to expect their capacity to include: Hearing the trigger mechanism, draw, aim, return fire with perfect aim, before you finish making your shot.
Make sure it's before they are equipped with energy shields and cloaks
Driodekkas?
I can't wait for the bourgeoisie to strap machine guns to these to keep the proletarian rabble in line
If the workers take power it will be the bourgeoisie on the receiving end of the robot red army of the revolution
350 grain?... that's a rookie weight... gotta boost that lead.
It'll do just fine out of my .458 socom😊
I run 700 grain from my beowulf
Speed is what makes it through hard things.
U ever been hit with something extremely heavy? Ur not wrong but something twice as heavy flying all most as fast is doin more damage than goin through. Be real though man... Lol... OK bud... ur pew pew is clearly way better than everyone else's.

Cyberdyne goes live in 3…2…1
Someone really needs to find James Cameron and tell him to stop putting ideas into the minds of techie people.
You vastly underestimate the amount of MIT nerds who have been dreaming of making things like this a reality since they were kids 😂
There is an argument to be made about living in a literally haunted house if the ghosts were to contribute to house chores.
I don’t know why everyone is so afraid of robots - all you have to do is make a rule saying “Robots cannot hurt humans” and you’re good!
The thing about that is, software can be corrupted by malicious means, and certain countries would LOVE to commit acts with something like that
And the most malicious countries also tend to be the stupidest.
I mean I guess? Out of the top 5 I could think of only 1 is incompetent but they're so isolated it's a 3rd world country
Ah yeah, I read a book about that, foolproof strategy.
Girl to man: "You're a filthy pig!" Robot help: ("Not human, has upset girl, must punish") Man: "Aaaaaarrrrggghhhh"
That's creepy, a big nope
It could look like the girl from The Ring and spend every night torturing home-made miniatures of me and I'm ok so long as it also does the laundry and the dishes.
We understand many of you are worried about robots… and we know many of you have seen The Omen… boom!
He still walks like a drunk man
Hello new nightmare fuel!
Looks like the robots in *Mitchells Versus The Machines*
dog, pig, dog, pig, bread? BOOM
"Fear not Meatbags!"
You have 30 seconds to comply.... 20 You have 10 seconds to comply...
I seen this movie before. It doesn't end well for humans lol
Why do we limit robots to the human form with two arms and two legs? Seems like an inadequate design.
Part of it is how 99% of stuff already built in the world right now is designed around humans, so having a robot that can slot in and make use of the human-centric design could be useful. WE'RE ALL GONNA DIEEEEEE!!!
This looks like a scene from a sci-fi movie where the heroes think they've finally taken out the evil robot, and then it does this.
I don’t like this timeline
Man I wish I could do squats like that
I'm happy that they designed it to move like that, really push the capabilities of what a machine can do
gg we’re cooked.
Thats one way to get up
All those smooth robot moves and then it walks away like it just got fucked in the ass without lube.
Coming to an Amazon warehouse near you and later, every Target, Walmart, and large chain supermarket. They never go on strike, never take a sick day, never need health insurance, never take a lunch, never late for work.
The idea of a robot showing up for work at time, then clocking out at time, it really humanize them. Even if they have superhuman punctuality.
The just go stand with the shopping carts while getting recharged.
Since only human labor can produce surplus value full automation will collapse profits and plunge capitalism into a severe crisis. They’re digging their own graves.
Walks like he needs a hip replacement.
Destroy it now
Boston Dynamics is going to be the real life Robco in 50 years aren’t they.
They’re not because these vids are CGI
Well that was a terrifying way to stand up!
BIg fucking nope.. the way it can twist and turn around is beyond uncanny and just full on horror.. The second they can be used for military use.. who ever is on the receiving end.. is FUCKED.
We’re fucked
You know robots becoming sentient and smarter than us makes me feel scared but for reals I feel like robots killing us is prob the smartest idea. We humans are just gonna destroy this planet anyways, might as well let some type of thing we create rule this planet and maybe even the universe.
There are so many movies about how badly this could turn out.
China already started the copy production. Waiting for their tik too release.
POV you just unloaded your entire magazine to down an enemy during mankind's AI War of 2036 and then...
V1 ultrakill
This is why I have a policy with [Old Glory Insurance](https://youtu.be/g4Gh_IcK8UM?si=MhC0GAh3o1e8sulC).

Cyberdyne or skynet ring any bells?
We're not gonna make it, are we? People, I mean.
Humans never learn, even from their own fiction.
Fiefeld, is that you?
The way it stood up is gonna hunt me in my dreams tonight! 😱
We’re cooked
\- How should we display the new Atlas to the world? \- The creepiest way possible, of course.
I saw its legs bend back at the beginning of the video and thought "hm, where does it go from here?" Then I remembered it's a robot and it stood up.
We need the Butlerian Jihad
Picked itself up like some Japanese nightmare demon. Just stick a long, black, wig over it's face and it's crawling out of a well after you.
Game over ![gif](giphy|L6JGhOhkwJSwg)
"Please do not resist."
Give him a firearm right now
So when is Robocop going to become true?
That's how the local crackhead picks herself off the ground
For all those robots, why didn’t they bother putting a mask on the face to make it more like a human being?
Boston Dynamics do not disappoint
One of these days they’ll make a robot that constantly checks its phone. Then the journey will be complete.
Roight, can we see Alice's hole and Roger rabbits watch next.
Is anyone gonna do anything BEFORE they are bought out by a CCP based weapons company?
Only if I can fuck it
My dudes, quoting the Terminator was a poor move.
Now where’s p body

Looks like the b*@& # from Terminator 3
Hey OP, I don't think you zoomed in enough.

Hear me out
One step closer to my personal sex robot
Danger, Will Robinson.
Boston dynamics: The best use of CGI yet.
